Definitions

  • the invention relates to a puppet theater having a plurality of puppets to be used during play and with a player for, for example, noises intended for theater play (e.g. US-A-4 560 359).
  • Such puppet shows are generally known and used.
  • Puppet theaters are very often used in the home by lay people. In such cases, it is advantageous if the player is given as much help as possible for the course of the game. You can, for example, run a tape during the game on which background noises and the conversations of the dolls to be used are stored. Nevertheless, playing theater requires considerable skill, because different puppets have to be used synchronously with the sound reproduction.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a puppet theater of the type mentioned so that the performance of a play is as simple as possible for laymen.
  • This object is achieved in that a number of electrically operable displays is provided for the puppet to be used, corresponding to the number of puppets to be used in the theater and that control signals for driving the displays are stored on the sound carrier of the player.
  • the player always recognizes in good time from the displays controlled by the player when he has to insert a new doll. Therefore, the performance of the theater play is particularly easy and a late use of dolls or even the use of the wrong doll is excluded.
  • the displays could be formed on the control desk of the puppet theater in the form of flashing numbers if the dolls are assigned corresponding numbers. Theater play is made easier if the displays on a shelf are provided for the dolls to be used during the play.
  • the display is particularly simple if it is formed by an electric lamp.
  • the theater according to the invention can be conveniently transported by the player and can therefore be used easily - for example in kindergartens - if all of its parts are arranged in a suitcase which, when opened, forms a stage with side walls, a control desk with the player and the storage for the dolls .
  • the control signals are preferably stored on the sound carrier of the player on an additional track on the tape.
  • control signals on the sound carrier of the playback device are acoustic signals and that the displays each have a sound sensor.
  • the sound carrier can also actuate further lamps according to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention if further control signals for controlling lamps illuminating the stage are stored on the sound carrier.
  • a red lamp, a blue lamp and a yellow lamp are provided and if the control commands for controlling each of the lamps are designed with any brightness.
  • the three lamps make it possible to illuminate the stage in any color by lighting the three lamps to different extents so that any desired mixed colors can be achieved. This makes it very easy to create evening light, for example, but also stormy weather or flash light.
  • the puppet theater It is very easy to fold the puppet theater into a portable suitcase if the puppet theater has a horizontal dividing joint at about half the height, if the upper side wall halves can be folded forward against the upper front wall half and the upper front wall half can be folded down against the lower front wall half and if the lower side wall halves are designed to be foldable inwards against the lower front wall half.
  • the backdrop can change very quickly from one backdrop image to another if the backdrop is formed from two motor-driven winding rollers, on which a backdrop tape with different backdrop images is wound. With such a backdrop band you can also create the impression of a snowstorm or that of fog.
  • control commands for driving the winding rollers are provided on the sound carrier.
  • Another development of the invention is that additional control commands for controlling further devices in the puppet theater, for example the curtain, are stored on the sound carrier.
  • the invention permits numerous embodiments. To further clarify its basic principle, one of them is shown schematically in the drawing and is described below.
  • the puppet theater shown has a front wall 1, in which an opening is provided as a stage 2.
  • the front wall 1 is held in its upright position by side walls 3, 4.
  • the side walls 3, 4 are connected to the front wall by hinges (not shown) in such a way that the puppet theater as a whole can be folded into a portable suitcase.
  • a backdrop 5 is provided between the side walls 3, 4, which is designed in such a way that the player can see the spectators through it, but he himself is invisible to the spectators.
  • a control desk 6 in which a playback device 7, for example a tape recorder, is accommodated.
  • Both side walls have brackets 8, 9, which in this exemplary embodiment have upwardly directed rods which form shelves 10, 11, 12 for dolls to be used.
  • a display 13, 14, 15 in the form of a lamp is provided in front of each shelf 10, 11, 12.
  • Control signals which cause the respectively desired display 13, 14, 15 to light up are stored on the sound carrier of the playback device 7. This signals to the puppeteer at the correct points in the plot which puppet he has to use.
  • the drawing further shows three lamps 16, 17, 18 above the stage 2, of which the first red light, the second blue light and the third yellow light can emit. These lamps 16, 17, 18 are also preferably controlled by control signals from the sound carrier of the player 7. This makes it possible to control each of the lamps 16, 17, 18 independently of the others and to regulate the brightness of the respective lamp 16, 17, 18 automatically.
  • the backdrop 5 consists of a backdrop belt 19, which is wound on two winding rollers 20, 21 arranged on both sides of the stage 2.
  • the winding roller 21 can be driven by a motor 22, which in turn can be controlled by control signals from the player 7. If the winding roller 21 rotates clockwise, the guide roller 19 is unwound from the winding roller 20 and wound onto the winding roller 21. This allows you to automatically change a set.
  • a horizontally extending parting line 23 is provided approximately halfway up the puppet theater.
  • the upper halves of the side walls 4 can be folded forward against the front wall 1. Then you can fold the upper half of the front wall 1 down against the lower half of the front wall 1.
  • the lower halves of the side walls 3, 4 can be folded inwards about hinges 24, 25. It is not shown that a drawer can be inserted in the resulting space between the folded, lower side wall halves and the lower front wall half.
