Abstract

A known device for cleaning conveying channels with a refractory coating for molten metals and slags, for example in blast furnaces, comprises a frame guided on two rails and mobile longitudinally above the conveying channel. According to the invention, one easily dismountable guide rail (20) is arranged on one side only of the conveying channel (3) and the mobile frame (5) has, on the side nearer the guide rail (20), two wheels (21) driven by motors (29) and two pairs of lateral guiding wheels (22) and, on the side farther from the guide rail (20), a free support roller (23). As a result of this arrangement, unevennesses of the floor in the vicinity of the conveying channel do not affect the guiding of the device parallel to the centre of the channel. The device and the rail can be removed after the operation, thus eliminating the risk of accidents due to the guide rail (20) when the channel is in use.

Description

The invention relates to a device for cleaning refractory-lined conveyor troughs for molten metals and slags and relates in particular to the devices for moving the device along the conveyor trough during processing of the trough wall.

From DE-PS 32 25 015 a device for cleaning conveyor troughs by means of rotating chains is known. This device can be moved along the channel with wheels which are guided in rails on both sides of the channel. The arrangement shown there of two guide rails in the form of wide channels for the four wheels is however unsuitable. Under the heat of liquid metal and hot slag, the hall floor and in particular the subsurface next to the gutter deforms, which leads to permanent deformation of the rails fixedly arranged or formed in or on this subsurface, so that perfect tracking parallel to the gutter and an even support all wheels cannot be reached. Irregularities in the route not only complicate the operation of the device, but also adversely affect the cleaning process. In addition, such rails result in an increased risk of accident when operating the channel. Furthermore, rails of this type can become unusable if the channel overflows.

The object of the invention is therefore to improve the devices for moving the device with regard to the resulting changes in the ground and to avoid the risk of accidents.

This problem is solved according to the main claim. The subclaims represent preferred further developments, in particular with regard to the training of the proposed rail.

It is of course known that a three-point support ensures the stable position of an object even on uneven ground. In the present case, however, the undercarriage of the device, the overall length of which is relatively short in relation to its width, is to be guided as parallel as possible to the center of the channel on a continuously changing surface under the influence of heat. These changes not only lead to differences in the height of the support for the rail, but also to changes in the track width when two rails are used. It should be noted that lateral forces also affect the chassis from the cleaning process. The present invention solves this problem in a simple manner, which is also suitable for rough operation on, for example, a blast furnace. The guidance of the frame according to the invention is also particularly advantageous compared to railless devices such as excavator vehicles on which a cleaning head is mounted.

Further details of the gutter cleaning machine, in particular the guidance of the undercarriage according to the invention, are described with the aid of the figures shown schematically in the accompanying simplified drawings.

The cleaning head of the device shown consists of a drum 1, to which chains 2 are fastened, the slag and loose components of the refractory material of the lining 4 knocking off on the wall of the conveying trough 3 when the drum rotates, as for example in DE-PS 32 25 015 is described.

The device has a chassis 5. On this a column 30 can be moved transversely to the channel. On the column 30, a carriage 31 is movably guided in the vertical direction. The lateral displacement of the column 30 and thus also of the cleaning head 1, 2 takes place via a motor 32, preferably by means of a chain hoist 33. The height adjustment of the cleaning head 1, 2 is done by the motor 34, and this is also due to the rough, dusty operation a blast furnace a chain 35 useful. A motor 6 is provided on the slide 31 for driving the drum 1. The device also has a control station 36. A cable drum 37 can be provided for supplying the electrical energy to the device.

On one side of the frame 5 there are preferably two wheels 21 individually driven by traction motors 29. The wheels 21 run on the guide rail 20. For example in the area of the wheels 21, non-driven side guide rollers 22 are provided which can rotate about vertical axes and run laterally on the guide rail 20 and provide lateral guidance when the wheels 21 are driven and when cleaning the channel the frame 5 acting side forces take over. On the other side of the channel, a single non-driven support roller 23 is arranged on the frame 5. The support roller 23 can have a larger diameter than the wheels 21, so that they over Unevenness of the surface rolls away more easily. A separate drive of both wheels 21 has the advantage that even in the event that the frame 5 is seated somewhere and one of the wheels 21 is lifted off the rail 20, a drive via the other wheel 21 is still possible, so that it Eliminate the difficulty encountered can at least participate. It should be noted that the area of the conveyor trough is still so hot during the cleaning process that it is not easily accessible.

A number of small plates 27, with which the guide rail rests on slabs of the thick metallic plates 26 which are embedded in the hall floor, are located at a distance from one another under the guide rail 20. As indicated in FIG. 2, threaded bolts 28 can be fitted in the plates 27 as adjusting screws to compensate for uneven floors. Instead of the threaded bolt 28 shown or in addition to this, other suitable compensating means, for. B. with interlocking parts stackable washers 38 that fit into each other can be used. A relatively rough alignment of the rails is normally sufficient. At the ends of the rails, preferably at a distance of two thirds of the channel length, guide bolts 24 are provided on their underside, which are inserted into elongated holes 25 of a plate 26.

The one-piece guide rail 20, the z. B. 20 m long, is removed during normal operation of the conveyor trough and can be easily removed by a crane and can be used very easily for cleaning by means of the bolts 24 and the elongated holes 25. The cleaning device itself is placed by the conveyor trough into a waiting area during normal trough operation. If several blast chutes of approximately the same length are available in a blast furnace operation, the device and guide rail can alternately be used for cleaning in these chutes.

Fig. 3 zeigt außerdem Absaugeinrichtungen 40, durch die während des Rinnenbetriebes Gase und/oder Rauch abgesaugt werden können und die während der Reinigung einen Teil des anfallenden Staubes abziehen.3 shows in simplified form a conveyor trough for a blast furnace with a guide rail 20 inserted next to it and the device indicated. Through the guide rail 20 and the side guide rollers 22, the device runs parallel to the center of the conveyor trough 3 without problems. A transverse displacement of the drum 1 is only necessary if this is necessary due to the condition of the trough wall or its course. If necessary, the device can also be moved back a little in order to repeat the cleaning process at one point. The guidance of the device on the rail 20 considerably facilitates the work process and is not influenced in particular by unevenness in the hall floor next to the conveyor trough. FIG. 3 also shows suction devices 40, through which gases and / or smoke can be sucked off during gutter operation and which draw off a part of the dust that occurs during cleaning.

The invention is not limited to the cleaning device with chains on a drum shown in the examples, but can also be used in gutter cleaning machines that work with other cleaning heads.
