Definitions
- the invention relates to a loading manipulator for a front-loading mortar according to the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.
- a loading manipulator known from DE 34 36 369 A1
- it can be pivoted from a loading position in front of the weapon barrel for loading the weapon barrel via a parallel guide attached to the weapon barrel under armored protection.
- the weapon barrel can be swiveled up around a trunnion axis and can be directed sideways by a rotating tower.
- a disadvantage of this arrangement is that the weapon barrel cannot be aligned in a lateral and vertical direction when the carrier vehicle is tilted in the terrain parallel to a horizontal plane.
- the object of the invention is to improve the loading manipulator mentioned at the outset in such a way that, in the case of a carrier vehicle tilted in the terrain, projectiles can be fed from a spatially unchangeable loading hatch of the carrier vehicle to a weapon barrel of a muzzle-loading mortar, the weapon barrel on one from EP-01 76 776 B1 known horizontal weapon platform is arranged and should be loadable in any side and height adjustment position.
- the storage of the loading manipulator according to the invention in a gimbal which can be rotated in the circumferential direction around the weapon barrel or the weapon barrel cradle and connection of a positioner which can be displaced and pivoted within a vehicle-fixed bearing advantageously guarantee a short-term possibility of supplying the projectiles from a loading hatch arranged in the carrier vehicle directly into the position ready for insertion the gun barrel.
- the gimbal allows the weapon barrel to be taken in any direction from the side and height and, in conjunction with the positioner, positively determines a variable angle of inclination for the respective loading level of the loading arm from the loading hatch to the barrel mouth.
- the gimbal joint positioner enables a constant loading position of the loading arm in the immediate vicinity of the stationary loading hatch when the carrier vehicle is tilted in the terrain and thus with the vehicle roof at an angle to the weapon platform.
- the positioner and the loading rocker can be arranged opposite to the weapon barrel or in a space-saving manner together on the side of the loading hatch.
- FIG. 1 illustrates the arrangement of a muzzle-loading mortar 12, for example on the roof 42 of a carrier vehicle 24.
- the weapon barrel 16 of the muzzle-loading mortar 12 is mounted in a cradle tube 30 in the example shown and can run back and forth when the shot is fired.
- the cradle tube 30 or, in a manner not shown, the weapon barrel 16 can be adjusted in height about a shield pin axis 14 in an angular range ⁇ (FIG. 3) typical of high-angle firearms.
- the shield journals arranged on the shield journal axis 14 are mounted in a weapon platform 56 which can be horizontated by a device 54 arranged in the vehicle roof 42.
- the loading manipulator 10 contains a loading rocker 20 which is mounted in front of the shield pin axis 14 in a gimbal 34 which is slidable relative to the cradle tube 30 or weapon tube 16 and carries a loading shell 36 at its other end for the transport of projectiles 26 in front of the tube mouth 28.
- joints 19 are provided on the outside of the gimbal 34 on a common axis 18, which are designed such that an additional recording of the position of the loading manipulator 10 relative to one on the vehicle housing 41, in particular on the positioner 38 determining the vehicle roof 42, the loading hatch 62 arranged.
- the positioner 38 is fastened at the end facing away from the gimbal 34 so as to be pivotable and axially displaceable in a bearing 44 arranged on the vehicle housing 41 or vehicle roof 42.
- the gimbal 34 can always be held in the position in which a direct feed possibility of the loading manipulator 10 on a movement plane 68 shown in FIG. 7 between a stationary loading position 64, for example parallel to the longitudinal axis 43 of the vehicle, and a variable loading position 66.
- the gimbal 34 ensures by its arrangement in front of the shield pin axis 14 a trouble-free sliding movement of the cradle barrel 30 or weapon barrel 16 in the circumferential direction 32. This sliding movement occurs, for example, during the alignment of the gun barrel 16 in the lateral direction or when compensating for a known tilt angle of the vehicle 24, not shown the horizontable weapon platform 56.
- the positioner 38 can easily follow the lateral and vertical directional movements of the weapon barrel 16 and the compensating movements of the weapon barrel 16 with respect to a previously described tilting angle of the vehicle 24 due to its longitudinal displaceability and pivoting possibility within the vehicle-fixed bearing 44.
- FIG. 1 shows that the gun barrel 16 can be directed sideways and vertically by a gunner 70 via a device not described in detail.
- the gunner 70 uses a panoramic telescope 74 known per se for alignment.
- the device 54 shown in FIGS. 1 and 6 for leveling the weapon platform 56 is sufficiently disclosed in EP 0 176 776 B1, so that a further description is unnecessary.
- FIG. 2 clearly shows the loading process of the charging cradle 36, which can be done manually by a charging gunner 76, for example.
- the loader 76 takes a projectile 26 from an intermittently circulating magazine 25 and passes it through the loading hatch 62 to the charging shell 36, which can be opened automatically or manually in a manner not shown.
- the loading zone of the charging cradle 36 is laterally protected by walls 78.
- the loading hatch 62 can be closed in a manner not shown.
- Figures 3 and 4 show that the axially displaceable bearing pin 48 of the positioner 38 is mounted within a ball joint 50 of the vehicle-fixed bearing 44, which has such a pivoting range that the positioner 38 the height and lateral directional movements of the gun barrel 16 and the tilting of the Carrier vehicle 24 can follow the gun barrel 16.
- the positioner 38 is designed to be stable as a guide fork, with each fork arm 39 in one each on the outside on the cardan ring 34 oppositely arranged joint 19 is mounted.

- lateral deflections of the charging shell 36 in the region of the loading hatch 62 caused by the straightening operations of the weapon barrel 16 are reduced to a minimum.
- FIGS. 5 and 6 illustrate that the loading manipulator 10 can be pivoted about the axis 18 in front of the pipe mouth 28 to carry out the loading process, for example by means of a hydraulic piston-cylinder unit 80, and into the loading position 64 for carrying out the loading process.
- the weapon platform 56 is designed in such a way that maximum shot loads are preferably in an elevation range ⁇ of the weapon barrel 16 between 35 ° and 90 ° to the carrier vehicle 24 can be recorded.
- the formation of the weapon platform 56 described in more detail in EP 0 176 776 B1 allows a direct one Arrangement of the gimbal 34 in front of the cradle tube 30, so that the distance between the axis 18 and the shield pin axis 14 is small. This small center distance results in acceptable lateral deflections of the charging cradle 36 in the intended loading area of the loading hatch 62, in particular when the weapon barrel 16 is turned to the maximum extent.
- Fig. 7 illustrates that the charging cradle 36 connected to the loading manipulator 10 has no separate lateral and vertical directional movements, e.g. B. in a horizontal plane 82 and in a vertical plane 84, but can be moved directly in a plane 68 formed by the respective position of the weapon barrel core axis 17 and, for example, the vehicle longitudinal axis 43.
Abstract

The invention relates to a loading manipulator for a front-loading mortar. In order to ensure a loading process even when the carrier vehicle is jammed in the terrain between a locally unchangeable loading hatch of the carrier vehicle and a variable lateral and vertical directional position of a weapon barrel mounted on a horizontable weapon platform, it is provided that a loading arm (20) of the loading manipulator (10) and one Positioners (38) on a gimbal (34) in front of the trunnion axis (14) on the gun barrel (16) or cradle barrel (30), the gun barrel (16) or cradle barrel (30) being freely movable in relation to the gimbal barrel (34) in the circumferential direction and the positioner (38) is arranged within a vehicle-fixed bearing (44) so as to be longitudinally displaceable and pivotable. As a result of this combination of the loading manipulator (10) via the gimbal (34) which is fixed to the weapon or cradle tube and the positioner (38), separate lateral and vertical directional movements are unnecessary for feeding the projectiles (26). The projectiles (26) can be pivoted directly in front of the weapon barrel (16) in a plane, for example, starting from the fixed loading hatch (62) and reaching as far as the weapon barrel core axis (17). The positioner can also be arranged in a space-saving manner on the side of the loading manipulator (10) and can be configured with one or two arms.
Description
The invention relates to a loading manipulator for a front-loading mortar according to the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.
In such a loading manipulator known from DE 34 36 369 A1, it can be pivoted from a loading position in front of the weapon barrel for loading the weapon barrel via a parallel guide attached to the weapon barrel under armored protection. The weapon barrel can be swiveled up around a trunnion axis and can be directed sideways by a rotating tower. A disadvantage of this arrangement is that the weapon barrel cannot be aligned in a lateral and vertical direction when the carrier vehicle is tilted in the terrain parallel to a horizontal plane.
One possibility of leveling this weapon barrel in a carrier vehicle that is tilted in the terrain is to install a device for leveling a rotatable weapon platform known from EP-01 76 776 B1. Difficulties then arise, however, in reconciling the feed movement of the loading manipulator into the respective variable lateral and vertical direction of the weapon barrel with the stationary ammunition removal position of the carrier vehicle.
The object of the invention is to improve the loading manipulator mentioned at the outset in such a way that, in the case of a carrier vehicle tilted in the terrain, projectiles can be fed from a spatially unchangeable loading hatch of the carrier vehicle to a weapon barrel of a muzzle-loading mortar, the weapon barrel on one from EP-01 76 776 B1 known horizontal weapon platform is arranged and should be loadable in any side and height adjustment position.
This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
The storage of the loading manipulator according to the invention in a gimbal which can be rotated in the circumferential direction around the weapon barrel or the weapon barrel cradle and connection of a positioner which can be displaced and pivoted within a vehicle-fixed bearing advantageously guarantee a short-term possibility of supplying the projectiles from a loading hatch arranged in the carrier vehicle directly into the position ready for insertion the gun barrel. The gimbal allows the weapon barrel to be taken in any direction from the side and height and, in conjunction with the positioner, positively determines a variable angle of inclination for the respective loading level of the loading arm from the loading hatch to the barrel mouth. Although the shield pin axis of the gun barrel is articulated parallel to the leveled weapon platform, the gimbal joint positioner enables a constant loading position of the loading arm in the immediate vicinity of the stationary loading hatch when the carrier vehicle is tilted in the terrain and thus with the vehicle roof at an angle to the weapon platform. The positioner and the loading rocker can be arranged opposite to the weapon barrel or in a space-saving manner together on the side of the loading hatch.

In order to ensure that
Fahrzeugdach 42 angeordneten Lager 44 befestigt. For the pivoting process of the
Due to the slidability of the
Waffenrohres 16 in Umfangsrichtung 32. The
The
In connection with FIG. 6, FIG. 1 shows that the

Figures 3 and 4 show that the axially displaceable bearing

Figures 3 and 4 further illustrate that the
Fig. 7 illustrates that the
