Abstract

The plastics moulded refuse bin has a hinged cover lid with the hinges (1.1) formed by raised tags on one side of the bin, to operate outside the bin. The hinges form grips by which the bin is lifted onto the discharge mechanism of the collecting vehicle. The bin is divided into sections by a movable bulkhead secured on the lipped upper part of the bin shape and with locating tags inside the bin. The collecting vehicle has a loading port with similar divisions as the bins, to direct the refuse into the sorted containers.

Description

The invention relates to a multi-chamber waste container according to the preamble of claim 1 for use with a multi-chamber waste vehicle.

From DE-A-25 58 433 a waste collection and transport system (multi-chamber waste system) has become known with which various types of waste can be collected, reloaded and transported in divided waste containers. The statements made mainly relate to the principle. However, it is necessary to specify further versions for cost-effective production, optimum handling and user-friendliness.

A household waste container according to the preamble of claim 1 has become known from US-A-3,720,346. This waste container, which is circular in cross-section, has radially arranged partition walls which are fastened by means of warts at the top and bottom of the container. The inwardly projecting webs for receiving the partitions have the disadvantage in the known container that they are difficult to stack because the inwardly projecting webs are in the way of stacking. The upper warts prevent a second container from being placed. Stackable containers of this type are useful for removal and / or storage.

The invention has for its object to provide a waste container for a multi-chamber waste system, the shape of which allows easy stackability and which can be designed optimally and inexpensively under the above criteria. The refuse container should be able to be produced using the modern methods of plastic injection molding with the simplest possible design of the injection mold.

This object is solved by the features of claim 1. Further features, advantages and expedient refinements essential to the invention result from the subclaims and are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings. Show it
  • Fig. 1 shows a waste bin in longitudinal section with a partition,
  • Fig. 2 the upper part of the waste container and
  • Fig. 3a and 3b the arrangement and attachment of the partition.

According to the representation of the invention in Fig. 1, the partition 4 is fixed at least in the lower region of the container 1 by means of webs or grooves 5, the webs or grooves ending at a distance h 1 above the container bottom 6. The partition 4 is screwed to the upper edge 7 of the container edge 8 (screw connection 9), the container 1 preferably having a material accumulation 10 for this purpose. The container wall 11 has an extension 13 or bulge 13 in the upper front region 12 of the container 1, into which an upper web 14 of the partition wall 4 projects, the web 14 being fastened by means of a strip 15 or the like or a screw connection 9. The bulge 13 has in its outer region a wall projection 16 which is pulled down and which serves as a receiving edge for a lifting and tilting device 17 of the refuse collection vehicle.

Fig. 1 in connection with Figs. 3a, 3b show the attachment of the partition 4 in different positions, depending on the volume requirements of the individual waste components. The stackability of the containers 1 for removal remains guaranteed. For simple production of the containers, it is therefore provided to provide webs 5 only in the lower region of the container, into which the partition 4 can be inserted from above. The height h 1 of the upper groove edge 18 is less than the height h 2 of the stacking strips 19 resting on the next waste container during transport. These webs 19 do not extend down to the container bottom 6; this enables clean cleaning.

Fig. 3a shows an upper container edge 12, which is extended by the width b 1 (see reference numeral 13) to enable attachment of the partition 4 (partitions) so that the material can be poured out of the container 1 undisturbed. The container partition 4 is screwed into the enlarged container edge 13 (screw connection 9) or, as shown in Fig. 3b, fastened via a bar 15.

Fig. 3a also shows the required edge reinforcement 10 below the bulge 13 provided for fastening the partition 4. The example shows a lifting and tipping device 17 of a refuse collection vehicle which engages in the receiving edge 16 provided for this purpose, which is located below the upper intermediate wall fastening.

In the garbage container 1 shown in Fig. 2, the lid hinges 25 are not mounted horizontally behind the upper container edge 20 to reduce the space requirement, but they protrude upward over the container edge 20. Fig. 2 shows such a hinge 25 over the container rim 20 with a lid 21. In order to enable the lid 21 to be opened without colliding with the rear region 22 of the upper container rim 20 in this embodiment (in today's refuse containers, the lid is curved downward and the Container edge protrudes into the lid), it is useful to design the underside of the lid 21 in the rear part 22, ie in the area of the hinge 25, so that it receives a curve or a radius 23 which when opening and closing the lid 21 runs past the rear edge of the container, the upper edge of the container 1 being matched to this design. Only if the pivot point 24 of the hinge 25 is at the same height or would be lower than the rear edge 22 of the container edge 20, no tilting would occur between the cover 21 and the container edge 22 when the cover 21 was opened. Instead of the curve or the radius 23, a horizontal distance between the lid and the container edge 22 can also be selected, which is dimensioned such that the lid runs past the edge 22 when it is opened.
