Eine weitere Variante könnte darin gelegen sein, daß anstelle einer Einstellschraube im Hebel ein Gewindestift fest verankert ist, der eine von Hand verdrehbare Mutter, z.B. eine Flügelmutter, trägt, wobei zwischen dem Steg und dem Hebel eine Schraubendruckfeder angeordnet ist.The invention is not tied to the embodiment shown in the drawing and described above. Claims (8)

  1. A front clamp assembly comprising a housing adapted to be mounted on a ski, with a release spring accommodated therein and having extending therethrough a pull rod subjected to the action of said release spring to act on the shorter lever arms of two bell crank levers mounted for pivoting about vertical arcs with their longer lever arms engaging the front end of the sole of a ski boot, said housing having its rear and formed with two abutment faces extending symmetric to the vertical longitudinal center plane, said two bell crank levers being at the same time configured as sole clamp-down members,
    characterized in that the axes (11a,11b) of said two bell crank layers (12,13) are located in a mounting body (10) provided with an opening (10b) for said pull rod (8) to pass therethrough, and biased by said release spring (4) into abutment with said abutment faces (2b₁,2b₂) of said housing (2) in the skiing position of said front clamp assembly (1) while being prevented from pivoting in a transverse plane on said pull rod (8), and that said pull rod (8) has is rear end, as per se known, provided with a cross member (9) abutting the shorter lever arms (12b,13b) of said two bell crank layers (12,13) in the skiing position of the front clamp assembly (1).
  2. A front clamp assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that below said passage opening (10b) said mounting body (10) is provided with a recess (10e) for receiving therein a horizontal projection (2d) of a vertical transverse wall (2a) of said housing (2).
  3. A front clamp assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that said housing (2) has its portion extending above said pull rod (8) formed with a rearwards and upwards opening rectangular recess (2e) having mounted therein a one-armed lever (22) with its free end coupled to said mounting member (10), and that said recess (2e) of said housing (2) is bridged by a transversely extending horizontal crossbar (23) formed with a vertically extending screw-threaded bore (23a) for an adjustment screw (24) having its lower end rotatably mounted and fixed against axial displacement by a circlip (25) in said lever (22).
  4. A front clamp assembly according to claim 3, characterized in that for coupling said mounting member (10) to said lever (22), said mounting member (10) is provided with a forwards pointing preferably cylindrical projection (10f) losely received in a complementary recess (22b) of said lever (22), and that said mounting member (10) takes support on said lever (22).
  5. A front clamp assembly according to claim 3, characterized in that the front end of said lever (22) terminates in a spherical mounting head (22a) received in a spherical bearing recess (2f) formed in a transverse wall (2c) delimiting said rectangular recess (2e).
  6. A front clamp assembly according to claim 3, characterized in that the front end of said lever is provided with a transversely extending cylindrical terminal portion received in a groove of semicircular cross-section formed in a transverse wall delimiting said rectangular recess.
  7. A front clamp assembly according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that said pull rod (8) has its rear end portion provided with a cylindrical section guided for axial displacement in a bushing (7) fixedly mounted in a vertical transverse wall (2a) of said housing (2).
  8. A front clamp assembly according to claim 4, characterized in that the support means for supporting said mounting member (10) on said lever (22) is formed by a rounded swivel edge (22c).
