Description

The invention relates to a device for changing electrodes in contact-free lithotripsy with an electrode in a water-filled focusing ellipsoid.

From DE 32 10 919 A1 a device for exchanging an electrode (spark gap) with an electrode and a water-filled focusing ellipsoid is known, in which the sealing is carried out with sliders.

The object of the invention is to provide a device which allows the electrode to be changed quickly after the electrode has expired, without loss of water occurring in the reflector.

This object is achieved by the subject matter of the main claim. The subclaims are advantageous embodiments of the invention.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to figures.

  • Fig. 3 die Elektrode in Entnahmestellung.
Show it:
  • 1 shows an ellipsoid with an electrode in the treatment position,
  • Fig. 2 is a retracted electrode in the changing device, and
  • Fig. 3 shows the electrode in the removal position.

The following components are shown in FIGS. 1 to 3:
A rotational ellipsoid 2 is closed with a membrane 4. The housing 6 of the ellipsoid of revolution 2 has on one side a rotatable cylinder 8, in the bore 10 of which part of a sleeve 12 is located. In the bore 14 of the sleeve 12 there is an electrode 16, the electrode tips 18 of which are exactly positioned in FIG. 1 in the focus F1 of the ellipsoid of revolution 2. The positioning is ensured by means of a receiving part 20 with a stop 22 which is rigidly connected to the ellipsoid 2. The electrode 16 is seated in the cylindrical receptacle 20, which is provided with seals 24, so that water cannot escape from the ellipsoid 2. The part 20 of the receptacle is firmly seated in the ellipsoid 2. The other part of the sleeve 12 opens at right angles into the cylinder 8 (like a shut-off valve), which is rotatably mounted. To change the electrode, after a high-voltage plug (not shown) has been removed, it is pulled out to such an extent that the basket 26 is located within the cylinder 8. The water is now up to the seal 34 in the cylinder 8 and up to the seal 32 in the sleeve 12. Now there is also a vent hole 28 which, however, has no connection to the outside in this position of the locking cylinder (FIG. 2). Now the sleeve 12 is pivoted upwards with the cylinder 8, the ellipsoid 2 being closed. The vent hole 28 in the cylinder 8 now coincides with a hole 30 in the wall 6 leading to the outside (FIG. 3). The electrode 16 can be pulled out with little effort, since the air air bores can flow in. There is no hermetically sealed room. The water wrung out with the electrode 16 remains in the closing cylinder.
If a new electrode 16 is now introduced, however, the air can escape the ventilation bores 28, 30. Since the water now fills the space in the electrode holder up to the electrode, it is impossible for air to remain in this space. Now the sleeve 12 can be pivoted back into the position shown in FIG. 2. The vent hole 30 is closed again by the rotation of the cylinder 8. Now the electrode 16 can be pushed in completely, the water being pushed back into the ellipsoid 2. Since no air is introduced during this process, venting is not necessary after each electrode change. Venting will only be necessary at larger intervals.

The device also has the advantage that it also works - as described - when the ellipsoid 2 assumes an oblique position. The electrode can be changed in any position of the ellipsoid 2.
