Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for cleaning toilet brushes according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Toilet brushes as an indispensable part of human hygiene require constant cleaning. This cleaning has so far only been possible by holding the toilet brush in the water flow of a flushing toilet, moving it back and forth several times and rinsing it several times. The cleaning result is still unsatisfactory in most cases, and the brush is thrown away after a relatively short period of use. Furthermore, an unsanitary water residue accumulates in the brush bowl, which often gets onto the toilet seat when the toilet seat is not folded up.
- a device for cleaning toilet brushes with a splash-proof housing surrounding the toilet brush, in the bottom of which there is an outlet for the waste water, and a feed line leading to the housing is known from DE-PS 332 828.
- an overflow water container is connected to a rinsing line in order to supply fresh water to the water container from below from time to time and thus to keep the brush in the container always clean.
- the flushing water supply can be made from a separate cistern.
- the brush container in which the brush can simply be inserted or hooked in or attached in some other way, is surrounded by a second container into which the overflow water reaches, which can be carried on from here through a special line.
- the toilet brush is therefore always made of water surround. The cleaning effect is therefore unsatisfactory.
- a device for cleaning toilet brushes according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from CH-A-270 195.
- US-A-4 836 702 shows a cleaning device for paintbrushes with an annular space in which a plurality of nozzles are arranged.
- An automatic cleaning device for brushes is known from WO-A-8 302 549, in which the brushes are sprayed with a cleaning agent, inter alia, through nozzles.
- the object of the invention is to provide a device for cleaning toilet brushes of the type mentioned, with which the toilet brush can be cleaned automatically in a simple manner.
- An actuatable valve is provided in the feed line to the nozzles, this valve being actuable by a switching element, preferably a magnetic switch.
- the switching element can be actuated by a switch, preferably a limit switch, the limit switch being able to be triggered by the toilet brush.
- the switch or limit switch is actuated by the toilet brush, which automatically initiates the cleaning process.
- the switch can be triggered mechanically by the toilet brush resting on the housing. By placing the toilet brush on the housing, the limit switch is actuated, which automatically initiates the cleaning process.
- the invention creates an effective self-cleaning rinsing device.
- This flushing device is designed so that the brush fibers are sprayed with the water emerging from the nozzles and the contaminated water is fed either to the water flushing toilet or to the waste water connection.
- the present invention saves water generates less wastewater and a longer service life of the brushes and better hygiene.
- the valve can also be operated manually.
- the nozzles directed towards the toilet brush, through which the cleaning water is sprayed onto the brush, are preferably provided in a nozzle assembly surrounding the toilet brush.
- This nozzle assembly is advantageously designed in the form of an annular space.
- a siphon can be connected to the outlet for the waste water.
- nozzle assemblies can be arranged one above the other.
- Glass, plastic or ceramic are particularly suitable as materials for the execution of the individual parts of the device.
- a fresh air pipe is preferably provided, through which fresh air can be supplied to the toilet brush via nozzles directed towards it.
- the brush can then be blown dry after the rinsing or cleaning process.
- the brush is sprayed off, whereby the drops still present on the brush are blown away.
- the housing space surrounding the brush is dried, which means that bacteria are less able to survive, which has an additional hygienizing effect.
- the fresh air pipe can be guided to the supply line via a valve which can be actuated by hand and / or by a switching element, preferably a magnetic switch.
- a switching element preferably a magnetic switch.
- the fresh air is directed to the brush via the same nozzles as the cleaning water. This also dries the water supply and nozzles through the fresh air.

- the valve 13 thus opens only after a time period which can be predetermined by the timer.
- the timer can be adjustable so that the delay time can be changed depending on the needs.
- valve 13 After opening the valve 13, water flows via the feed line 6 into the annular space 5 and from there through the nozzles 17 onto the brush fibers 15.
- the valve 13 is preferably seated on the flange 10, with which the entire device is also fastened to the wall can.
- a plurality of nozzle assemblies 5 can also be arranged one above the other.
- a fresh air pipe 22 leads to the valve 13, through which fresh air can be supplied to the toilet brush via the nozzles 17 directed towards it.
- the fresh air fan 23, which is arranged in the fresh air pipe 22, switches on manually or automatically. Through the flow direction behind the fresh air fan 23 arranged heating coil 24, the fresh air is heated and fed through the fresh air pipe 22 to the valve 13.
- the valve 13 is designed as a three-way valve. If fresh air is supplied, the water inflow via the three-way valve 13 is shut off. The fresh air is blown onto the nozzle via the feed line 6, the nozzle assembly 5 and the nozzles 17.
- the fresh air exits the ring channel 5 via the nozzles 17 in such a way directed onto the brush 15 that the water drips off and the remaining residual moisture evaporates.
- the exhaust air is then discharged through the exhaust pipe 25. It passes from the exhaust pipe 25 into a ventilation pipe 26 and from there into the free atmosphere, for example through a line to the roof of the building. It is also possible to supply the exhaust air to the vented drain pipe 3 (not shown in the drawing).
- the exhaust pipe 25 branches off in the flow direction in front of the siphon 2 from the outlet 16. The flow of exhaust air is thus blocked from the way to the sewage connection pipe 20 by the liquid 27 stored in the siphon 2. The air must flow out of the exhaust pipe 25.
- valve or the three-way valve 13 After a time that can be set via a time switch relay (not shown in the drawing) or by manual operation 12, the valve or the three-way valve 13 is brought into the basic position, that is to say the position that blocks the fresh air, as soon as the brush has dried.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for cleaning toilet brushes according to the preamble of
Toilet brushes as an indispensable part of human hygiene require constant cleaning.
A device for cleaning toilet brushes with a splash-proof housing surrounding the toilet brush, in the bottom of which there is an outlet for the waste water, and a feed line leading to the housing is known from DE-PS 332 828. In the previously known device, an overflow water container is connected to a rinsing line in order to supply fresh water to the water container from below from time to time and thus to keep the brush in the container always clean. The flushing water supply can be made from a separate cistern. The brush container, in which the brush can simply be inserted or hooked in or attached in some other way, is surrounded by a second container into which the overflow water reaches, which can be carried on from here through a special line. In the previously known device, the toilet brush is therefore always made of water surround. The cleaning effect is therefore unsatisfactory.
A device for cleaning toilet brushes according to the preamble of
An automatic cleaning device for brushes is known from WO-A-8 302 549, in which the brushes are sprayed with a cleaning agent, inter alia, through nozzles.
The object of the invention is to provide a device for cleaning toilet brushes of the type mentioned, with which the toilet brush can be cleaned automatically in a simple manner.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of
The invention creates an effective self-cleaning rinsing device. This flushing device is designed so that the brush fibers are sprayed with the water emerging from the nozzles and the contaminated water is fed either to the water flushing toilet or to the waste water connection. The present invention saves water generates less wastewater and a longer service life of the brushes and better hygiene.
Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen der Erfindungen sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.Advantageous developments of the inventions are the subject of the dependent claims.
The valve can also be operated manually.
The nozzles directed towards the toilet brush, through which the cleaning water is sprayed onto the brush, are preferably provided in a nozzle assembly surrounding the toilet brush. This nozzle assembly is advantageously designed in the form of an annular space.
A siphon can be connected to the outlet for the waste water.
To improve the cleaning effect, several nozzle assemblies can be arranged one above the other.
Glass, plastic or ceramic are particularly suitable as materials for the execution of the individual parts of the device.
A fresh air pipe is preferably provided, through which fresh air can be supplied to the toilet brush via nozzles directed towards it. The brush can then be blown dry after the rinsing or cleaning process. The brush is sprayed off, whereby the drops still present on the brush are blown away. Furthermore, the housing space surrounding the brush is dried, which means that bacteria are less able to survive, which has an additional hygienizing effect.
The fresh air pipe can be guided to the supply line via a valve which can be actuated by hand and / or by a switching element, preferably a magnetic switch. In this case, the fresh air is directed to the brush via the same nozzles as the cleaning water. This also dries the water supply and nozzles through the fresh air. Furthermore, a separate fresh air line is partially saved and separate nozzles are also saved.
The valve is preferably a three-way valve through which either water or fresh air can be supplied to the toilet brush. First, the three-way valve is brought into the position in which water is supplied. The brush is then sprayed off. The three-way valve is then brought into the position in which fresh air is supplied. The brush is then blown dry.
It is advantageous if a time relay is provided, by means of which the valve or the three-way valve can be reset. After a time that can be predetermined by the time relay, the valve that supplies the fresh air is closed or the three-way valve is brought into the position in which water is supplied.
A heater, preferably a heating coil, can be fitted in the fresh air pipe. Warm air is then supplied, which additionally improves the drying effect.
It is advantageous if an exhaust pipe is provided which is provided in the housing or branches off from the outlet. The exhaust pipe preferably branches off in the flow direction in front of the siphon. As a result, the exhaust air flow leading out of the housing is blocked by the liquid stored in the siphon, so that the exhaust air must flow through the exhaust pipe. A further advantageous development is characterized by a fan arranged in the fresh air pipe and / or the exhaust air pipe, by means of which the air flow is generated.
- einzigen Figur
- ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung in einem Längsschnitt.
- single figure
- an embodiment of the invention in a longitudinal section.
The device for cleaning toilet brushes shown in the single figure has a splash-
The nozzles 17 are provided in an annular space-shaped nozzle block 5 surrounding the toilet brush. The nozzle assembly 5 and thus also the nozzles 17 are located slightly above the front end 4 of the toilet brush 7, thus spraying the
An
The
The
After a time that can be set via a time switch relay (not shown in the drawing) or by
It is possible (not shown in the drawing) to mount an (additional) fan in the
