Die Erfindung betrifft einen Gummituchzylinder für Bogenrotations-­Offsetdruckmaschinen, der mit einer Einrichtung zur Abdeckung des Zylinderkanals versehen ist, nach dem Oberbegriff des Patentan­spruches 1.The invention relates to a blanket cylinder for sheet-fed offset printing machines, which is provided with a device for covering the cylinder channel, according to the preamble of claim 1.

Nachteilig ist dabei, daß die Kanalabdeckung keinen optimalen Schutz gegen das Eindringen von flüssigen Waschmitteln, die beim Reinigen der Zylinder verwendet werden bzw. auch keinen optimalen Schutz gegen das Eindringen von Wasser bzw. Farb-Wasser-Emulsionen bietet. Aus der DE-OS 3 110 982 ist es zwar bereits bekannt, Füllstücke in einem Zylinderkanal eines Gummituchzylinders vorzusehen. Der hauptsächliche Vorteil der erfindungsgemäßen Abdeckschiene besteht darin, daß flüssige Waschmittel, Wasser oder dgl. in den Zylinderkanal des Gummituchzylinders nicht mehr eindringen können, so daß von vornherein Störungen des Druckprozesses durch derartige Flüssigkeitsansammlungen im Zylinderkanal ausgeschlossen sind. Die unter der Abdeckschiene befindlichen Teile des Gummituchzylinders, z.B. die Spannvorrichtungen für das Gummituch, für Aufzüge 0. dgl. sind gegen Korrosion besser geschützt. Die erfindungsgemäße Abdeck­schiene bildet ferner durch das Ausfüllen der Räume zwischen den Spannspindeln ein geeignetes Gegengewicht, um bei Bogenrotations-­Offsetdruckmaschinen auftretende Unwuchten besser zu kompensieren. Der breite Schienenkopf der Abdeckschiene sichert zugleich die Lage des Gummituches, so daß sich dieses nicht so leicht lockern kann. Claims (5)

1.) Gummituchzylinder für Bogenrotationsoffsetdruckmaschinen, welcher mit einem Gummituch belegt ist, dessen Enden mittels Spannspindeln in einem breiten Zylinderkanal befestigt werden, welcher sich parallel zur Zylindermittelachse erstreckt und mit einer Abdeckung versehen ist,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß in dem Zylinderkanal (2) eine Abdeckschiene (8) vorgesehen ist, die sich im Zylinderkanal (2) über dessen gesamte Länge bis an die Seitenwände (13, 14) erstreckt und im Querschnitt eine etwa pilzförmige Schienenprofilform aufweist, daß der Schienenkopf (9) etwa gleich dem Abstand der Mittelachsen der Spannspindeln (3, 4) breit gewählt ist, daß der Schienenkopf (9) längs des Zylinderkanals (2) über das aufgewickelte Gummituch (5) auf den Spannspindeln (3, 4) abgestützt ist, daß eine Befestigungseinrichtung (12, 15) vorgesehen ist, um die Abdeckschiene (8) am Boden (11) des Zylinderkanals (2) zu befestigen und daß zwischen den Seitenwänden (13, 14) und den diesen zugewandten Flächen am Schienenkopf (9) eine Dichtungs­masse (16, 17) vorgesehen ist.
