Bekannte Frankiermaschinen dieser Art haben den Nachteil, dass bei Reparaturarbeiten, für die das Gehäuse der Frankiermaschine geöffnet oder entfernt werden muss, unerlaubte oder nicht dem Verbrauch von Frankierwerten entsprechende Veränderungen des Inhaltes des Hauptspeichers möglich sind. Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Frankiermaschine zu finden, die diesen Nachteil vermeidet, so dass anlässlich von Instandhaltungsarbeiten eine Betätigung der Stellantriebe und Aenderungen des Wertmengeninhaltes des Hauptspeichers zu keiner bleibenden, die Abrechnung mit dem Postamt verfälschende Aenderung des Wertmengeninhaltes des Hauptspeichers führt. Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe erfolgt durch die Merkmale des Anspruches 1. Aufgrund der Erfindung wird somit erreicht, dass beim Oeffnen des Gehäuses der Frankiermaschine der Inhalt des für die Wertabrechnung mit dem Postamt benötigten Wertmengenspeichers solange in einem sonst nicht zugänglichen Hintergrundspeicher abgelegt wird, bis das Gehäuse wieder geschlossen wird.On the basis of the invention, it is thus achieved that when the housing of the franking machine is opened, the content of the value quantity memory required for the value settlement with the post office is maintained stored in an otherwise inaccessible background memory until the housing is closed again.

Bei geschlossenem Gehäuse wird gemäss der Programmlinie 3 am Verzweigungsfeld 4 überprüft, ob im Programm nicht ein Flag (Zeichen) "Gehäuse offen" gesetzt ist. Falls dies zutrifft, wird dieser Flag zurückgesetzt und die Speicherinhalte im Hauptspeicher 6 werden durch Abfragen des Hintergrundspeichers wieder auf den Stand vor dem Oeffnen des Gehäuses aufgefüllt, da das Gehäuse tatsächlich geschlossen ist.According to the program diagram in FIG. 1, it is first queried at branching
Bei geöffnetem Gehäuse wird gemäss Verzweigung 7 abgefragt, ob der Flag "Gehäuse offen" gesetzt ist. Falls der Flag "Gehäuse offen" bereits gesetzt ist, wird gemäss der Pogrammlinie 10 an den Verzweigungen 11 und 12 überprüft, ob der Speicherinhalt des Hauptspeichers 6 nicht gleich Null ist und ob die Einstellung am Frankierkopf grösser Null ist. Ist der Speicherinhalt im Hauptspeicher 6 nicht Null und ist der Einstellwert am Frankierkopf grösser Null, so werden diese gemäss Funktionsfeld 13 auf Null gestellt. Die entsprechenden Werte sind in diesem Fall im Hintergrundspeicher, wie zuvor erwähnt, abgespeichert.When the housing is open, a query is made according to
Fig.2 zeigt im mittleren Bereich die Aufteilung des nichtflüchtigen RAM-Hauptspeichers 6 auf verschiedene Inhalte, d.h. auf den im Feld dargestellten Gesamtbetrag aller Frankierungen und auf die tabellarisch dargestellten verschiedenen Benutzer konten 16, die in jeweils 100 verschiedene Unterkonten aufgeteilt sind, die vom jeweiligen Benutzer der Frankiermaschine wahlweise beim Frankieren belastet werden können. Die Aufteilung auf eines der verschiedenen Benutzerkonten erfolgt mittels eines Identifikationsschlüssels, z.B. entsprechend der US-A-4 788 623. Die Aufteilung in Unterkonten hat buchhalterische Vorteile. Entsprechend ist es beim Abspeichern des Inhaltes des Hauptspeichers 6 erforderlich, die Abspeicherung im Hintergrundspeicher nach derselben Aufteilung vorzunehmen. Die Pfeile "Deckel öffnen" und "Deckel schliessen" veranschaulichen den Austausch der Speicherinhalte zwischen beiden Speichern 6 gemäss dem Programmschema der Fig.1. Im linken Teil der Fig.2 sind die für die verschiedenen Speicherinhalte erforderlichen Wertaddierwerke 20,21,22 schematisch dargestellt. Für jede Addition wird der vorherige Wert des Konteninhaltes vom Speicher 6 aufgerufen und anschliessend der zum Frankieren verwendete Betrag diesem Wert zuaddiert, um anschliessend wieder abgespeichert zu werden. Dies ist durch die Funktionschleifen 24,25,26 angedeutet. In der Funktionsschleife 25 ist ausserdem durch das Funktionsfeld 27 angedeutet, dass bei geöffnetem Gehäuse das Additionsresultat gelöscht wird.Fig. 2 shows in the middle area the distribution of the non-volatile RAM
Claims (3)
- Franking machine with electranechanic servodrives enclosed in a casing for setting the franking value of type wheels mounted on the printing head, electronic value adders (20, 21, 22) for adding the value of each franking operation to a sum amount of preceding franking operations contained in a main memory (6) and with a central processing unit (CPU), characterized by a not accessible backing memory which takes in the content of the main memory (9) as a result of an "open" signal of signal means located on the casing and gives back this content to the main memory as a result of an "closed" signal of the signal means.
