In order to allow simple crosswise chocking of glass panes without causing undesirable stresses in the glass pane (25), the device is so designed that the wedge piece (13) can be inserted into a recess (14) of the pane chock (12) which is open perpendicularly to the plane of the pane and situated below the pane supporting wall (17). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a device for jamming panes in door or window frames, in particular in rung frames, with a pane block and a wedge piece of approximately the same length that can be assembled perpendicularly to the plane of the pane.

Such a device is known from DE-OS 20 44 299. The disc block, which is to be supported on the frame, has an inclined supporting surface for the wedge piece, which is provided with a corresponding inclined surface and a supporting surface parallel to the supporting surface of the disc block for the disc support. When installing the known blocking device, the wedge piece supporting the glass pane must be moved transversely to the glass pane. This results in undesirable transverse stresses in the glass pane. In addition, the transverse displacement of the wedge piece is not without problems because of the intended corrugation of the inclined surfaces of the window block and the wedge piece and, in the case of insulating glass panes, because of the adhesive touching the supporting surface of the wedge piece.

The invention has for its object to improve a device with the features mentioned above so that a simple cross-locking of glass panes in door or window frames is possible without undesirable stresses in the glass pane when blocking.

This object is achieved in that the wedge piece can be inserted into a recess in the disc block which is open perpendicular to the disc plane and is located below the disc support wall.

It is important for the invention that the support surface of the blocking device for the glass pane is no longer adjusted transversely to the latter when blocking. At most, it is raised when the wedge piece is inserted, that is, it is only moved in the plane of the glass pane, but not transversely to it. As a result, all the disadvantages that would result from a transverse adjustment of the support surface of the glass pane are eliminated. In addition, there is the essential advantage that the inherent rigidity of the disk block and the wedge piece can be reduced. The walls of the disc block can be thin and the wedge piece only needs to have low inherent rigidity. The disk block encompasses the wedge piece during driving in, whereby there are foreseeable frictional conditions, that is to say that a hindrance to driving in due to sharp glass edges must not be expected, which would require greater rigidity of the wedge piece. Because the wall thicknesses of the wedge piece and the window block can be kept small, the device is particularly suitable if the fold stop of the frame is narrow for the glass pane. This is the case, for example, with lattice windows. With the aid of the wedge piece that can be inserted under the disc block, very sensitive blockings can also be made, that is to say those in which the block height has to be set in the range of tenths of a millimeter.

The blocking device is designed such that the recess for supporting the wedge piece is formed open on the frame side directly on the frame surface, or that the recess is closed as a frame side, at least the wedge piece pocket surrounding the wedge surface. When the wedge piece is supported directly on the frame surface, this results in a particularly simple construction in terms of production technology. It is also possible to use thick wedges so that the disc block can be raised by up to 10 mm. The disc block can therefore be used universally in connection with wedge pieces of different thicknesses. The design of the recess as a recess surrounding the wedge piece at least on both wedge surfaces makes it possible to match the friction conditions to one another particularly precisely to the extent required. In this way it can be achieved, for example, that the wedge piece is pressed into the pocket-shaped recess with particularly little friction and thus with little effort, or it can be achieved that the wedge piece is held between the walls of the recess by frictional engagement. In addition, it is important that the wedge piece can be clamped by hand within the recess, so that the blocking device can be stored and used as an installation unit.

Advantageously, the device is designed in such a way that the disc block has, on both sides of the recess, wider than block-thick block strips that extend over the entire block width. The block strips allow the pane to be securely supported on the frame if the wedge piece has not yet been driven in. This ensures that the lateral insertion opening of the recess for the wedge piece is kept open.

It has proven with a recess designed as a pocket that a certain wedge angle is expedient in order to be able to insert or drive the wedge piece sufficiently easily on the one hand and yet to achieve a sufficiently tight fit in the recess of the disc block. In order to increase the expandability of the recess of the disc block and / or to be able to use the same wedge shape even with different wide disc blocks, the device is designed in such a way that the recess of the disc block designed as a pocket has a parallel-walled pocket section and a pocket mouth on it with a wedge-free pocket insert subsequent, the wedge shape of the wedge piece adapted in cross section Has pocket section. The parallel-walled pocket section can be made sufficiently long so that the wall supporting the disk can be widened or adjusted with little bending stress.

With a symmetrical design of the cross section of the wedge piece, it is achieved that the recess designed as a pocket can be formed with mirror-image pocket walls, which is best in terms of stress and, due to the symmetry of the disk block, also advantageous for its manufacture.

If the width of the wedge piece is at least equal to the depth of the wedge-shaped section, full support of this section is achieved by the wedge piece and thus uniform vertical load transfer. It also ensures that the wedge piece is easily accessible from the outside when driving in from the side.

The depth of the pocket expediently corresponds to approximately half the block width. This results in a relatively large width of the pocket wall, with which a correspondingly large evasive capacity is connected. In particular, such a configuration of the device in the case of insulating glass panes is advantageous because the entire area of an insulating glass pane is correspondingly acted upon or blocked when the pocket piece is acted upon by the wedge piece.

If a particularly symmetrical stress on the pane, in particular an insulating glass pane with two individual panes, is important, it is advantageous if the pane block is provided on both sides with a recess designed as a pocket for receiving wedge pieces directed in opposite directions. Wedges can then be driven in on both sides, either to the same depth or any tolerances in the glass dimensions correspondingly differently deep.

In one embodiment of the invention, the walls are unevenly thick and the recess is arranged near the upper, the disk support surface of the disk block. Such Design of the blocking device is particularly suitable when larger distances between the disk and the groove are to be bridged. The disk-side wall then moves in a coordinated, tried-and-tested manner when the wedge piece is driven in the same way in the vertical direction, regardless of how thick the other wall is, which for tolerance reasons can have a multiple thickness of the disk-side wall, for example.

In a further embodiment, the device is designed in such a way that the disk block has a longitudinally permeable moisture passage recess which is arranged at the level of a recess and / or below it and which is closed in cross section or open on the block support side.

In order to be able to guide the wedge piece exactly when it is driven into the disk block, the device is designed in such a way that the pocket-shaped recess of the disk block, which is made of injection-molded plastic, is closed laterally without a gap for all-round encasing of the wedge piece except for an insertion slot for the wedge piece.

Furthermore, the device is designed in such a way that two adjacent disk blocks are connected with a connecting strip which is narrow in comparison to their width and which is attached to the narrow side of the block outside the recess area. Despite the deformation of the window block in the area of its walls, it can be ensured in this way that two window blocks are connected to form a structural unit, that is to say without influencing their functionality. There are additional advantages. For example, the pane blocks can be arranged at appropriate distances from the corner regions of the frames by appropriate dimensioning of the connecting strips. It is also possible to use the narrow connecting strip, also in connection with the other window block, as a holder if the structural unit is to be used in an upper corner of a frame. There is then no longer any danger for a pane block arranged in the vertical frame spar area to fall down.

The invention is explained with reference to exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing. It shows:

  • 2 is a perspective view of a structural unit consisting of two disk blocks,

  • Fig. 6 is a view similar to FIG. 2 of another embodiment according to the invention.

The frame 11 shown in Figure 1 is a rung frame with vertical frame leg 11 'and horizontal frame leg 11˝. The cross section of the frame spars 11 ', 11˝ is T-shaped. The arrangement is such that the roof leg is arranged parallel to the plane of the disc 10. Correspondingly, a rollover of the height h is formed, on which the pane 10 is supported according to FIG. The pane 10 is an insulating glass pane with two glass panes 25, which are held at a predetermined distance by a spacer 26 and whose space is sealed by sealing compound 27.

The disk 10 has somewhat smaller edge lengths than there is free space between two frame legs which are parallel to one another. The free space difference available as a result is used for disc locking. The device used for this purpose consists of a plurality of disk blocks 12, which are arranged in a conventional manner, preferably in the vicinity of the frame corners.

Each disc block 12 has a certain length l and a width b determined essentially by the support width of the frame 11. The thickness d depends on the distance between the disk 10 and the groove base 28.

The disk block 12 has a recess 14 designed as a pocket, into which the wedge piece 13 is to be inserted. The recess 14 and the wedge piece 13 are therefore coordinated. From Fig. 2,3 it can be seen that the cross section of the wedge piece 13 is symmetrical. The cross section of the disk block 12 is designed accordingly, ie also symmetrically.

The recess 14 designed as a pocket creates 12 walls 17, 18 in the disk block, which extend between the block narrow sides 23. The block narrow sides 23 close the recess 14 laterally, so that walls 17, 18 are laterally connected to one another. This is used for all-round clearance-free gripping of the wedge piece 13 so that it can be arranged in a precisely defined position within the recess 14 of the disk block 12. Such an all-round sheathing of the wedge piece 13, which only leaves the insertion slot 21 for the wedge piece 13, is not required in all applications. Rather, it can be sufficient according to FIG. 2 if the walls 17, 18 are free-standing and accommodate the wedge piece 13 between them.

Such an embodiment is particularly advantageous when the disc block is made of a material that does not allow the walls 17, 18 to expand when the wedge piece 13 is driven in without the risk of the walls 17, 18 being destroyed in the area of the narrow block sides 23.

Annäherung an die andere Wand 18 haben kann.2 to 5 show that the depth t of the recess 14 occupies only part of the width B of the disk block 12. This proportion is approximately half the block width b. This ensures that the depth t in the case of supporting insulating glass extends at least over the width occupied by a glass pane 25. In such an embodiment, the effect of the blocking device extends only to the one glass pane 25 that is acted upon, but this is completely sufficient; because the other glass pane 25 can sit securely on the pane block 12 outside of the pocket area 14 'and the latter enables the necessary blocking. If the wedge-piece-loaded pane 25 is smaller than the roof-side glass pane 25, the wall 17 with the wedge piece 13 can bulge out will. If the washer 25 in question, however, the wedge piece 13 is only used to the extent that the wall 17 can have the required deflection or approach to the other wall 18.

For reasons of tolerances, it may be necessary to block both glass panes 25, for example because blocking only one glass pane 25 is insufficient, e.g. on an upper edge of the glass pane. In this case, the pane block 12 of FIG. 3 can be used, in which the two pane of glass 25 can be padded separately. There are two recesses 14, in each of which a wedge piece 13 can be inserted. The insulating glass pane 10 is supported with one of its glass panes 25 by means of a tape 24 on the inside of the roof leg 11˝ of a frame rung 11 and provided with a seal 29 on the outside. The wedge piece 13 can be driven deep into the recess 14 according to the blocking requirements below the glass sheet 25 on the conveyor belt side.

Instead of a possibility of jamming below the glass sheet 25 on the conveyor belt side, however, a moisture passage recess 20 can also be provided, which enables an air exchange between the groove areas located on both sides of the narrow block sides 23. Such a window block 12 is primarily used on vertical frame spars, so as not to cause air circulation by completely closing off the space between the insulating glass window 10 and the groove base 28.

Moisture can also occur in the form of liquid on the lower horizontal frame spars. So that this can flow, for example, when the window is swiveled, to the points provided with drainage openings, it is expedient to design the passage recesses as channels open on the block support, as shown in FIG. In this case, the wall 18 is of considerable thickness in order to ensure the required free cross-section between the disk block 12 and the groove base 28. The recess 14 and the wedge piece 13 are in this Case placed near a glass sheet 25 in the same manner as in the previously described embodiments. The wall 17 present between the disk support surface 19 and the wedge piece 13 is approximately the same thickness in all exemplary embodiments. It also allows sensitive adjustment of the disk block in the tenths of a millimeter range even with disk blocks for bridging larger distances, i.e. with disk blocks with a greater thickness d.

Anwendbar ist eine solche Querschnittsgestaltung insbesondere dann leicht, wenn der Scheibenklotz 12 eine gegenüber der größten Dicke des Keilstücks 13 große Dicke d hat.3 to 5 show that the recess 14 consists of a section 15 which is parallel-walled and an extension of the recess 14 relative to the wedge piece 13. The latter sits in a section 16 which adjoins the section 15 on the pocket mouth side and has a cross-sectional shape adapted to the wedge piece 13 in cross section. In all embodiments, the wedge shape is determined by an isosceles triangle. However, it is also possible to have this cross-sectional shape determined by an uneven-legged, in particular right-angled triangle, in which one side of the triangle is arranged parallel to the pane support surface 19. This is advantageous, for example, when it is important that the deformation behavior of the wall 17 having the disk support surface 19 is the same at all points over the entire depth t of the recess 14. In addition, this embodiment is advantageous if the wedge piece 13 is to be arranged as close as possible to the adjacent glass pane 25. Such a cross-sectional design is particularly easy if the disk block 12 has a large thickness d compared to the greatest thickness of the wedge piece 13.

It is possible to connect several disk blocks 12 to one another. 2 shows the connection of two disk blocks 12 by means of a connecting strip 22, the strip width a of which is substantially smaller than the block width b. It is consequently possible to attach the connecting strip to the block narrow sides 23, specifically outside the receiving area 14 ', so that the spreading function of the walls 17, 18 is not impaired. The connecting strip 22 not only serves to hold the window blocks 12 together against loss, but also enables them to be positioned precisely relative to the corner of the frame, also on upper frame corners. Several horizontal or vertical disc blocks 12 can also be connected to one another.

The material of the disk blocks and the wedge pieces is advantageously a molded plastic, so that the illustrated shapes of the parts can be easily mastered.

The device for locking disks shown in FIG. 6 differs from that of FIG. 2 essentially by a modified recess 14. The latter is open on the frame side. The wedge piece 13 is consequently supported with its underside 13 'on the frame or the frame rung 11 or a groove base 28, while its upper side 13˝ presses on the frame-side surface of the wall 17 when the wedge piece 13 through the slot 21 into the recess 14 is driven.

The recess 14 is arranged symmetrically between two block strips 30 which form the block narrow sides 23. Its width k is greater than the thickness d of the window block 12, so that it can support the glass panes 25 stably even without the wedge piece 13 used. The recess 14 is large compared to the width k of the strips 30. The length L of the wedge piece is correspondingly large, reduced by the distance s shown at the top right in FIG. 6, so that the wedge piece 13 can move relative to the disk block 12 in the direction of its longitudinal extent.

Fig.6 rechts oben. The depth t of the recess 14 of the disc block 12 of FIG. 6 extends essentially over the entire width B of this block, which is consequently raised parallel to the frame support surfaces when the wedge piece 13 is driven in. The lifting takes place in accordance with the selected thickness D of the wedge piece 13, which exceeds the thickness d of the disk block 12. There is a resulting thickness d 'between the disk support surface 19 and the underside 13' of the wedge piece 13, see Fig. 6, top right. Depending on the choice of the thickness D of the wedge piece 13, the range can be between 3 and 12 mm, for example.
