Definitions
- the invention relates to a stretcher with lateral, longitudinal hollow profile spars, which are connected to one another by cross members and have insertable carry handles at their ends, feet, a lying surface, a head and back support and holding belts being attached to the hollow profile spars, and wherein the hollow profile spars have an essentially rectangular cross-section, the upper wall of the hollow profile spars is reinforced over their entire length and cylindrical grooves are provided on both long sides of this reinforcement, which are open to the sides through slots.
- Stretches of the aforementioned type are known from practice. From DE-PS 32 45 842 a stretcher with lateral, longitudinal hollow profile spars is known, at the ends of which push-in handles are provided. The carrying handles are easy to insert thanks to a special construction and can be locked automatically when pulled out.
- hollow profile spars are provided which have an essentially rectangular cross section, the upper wall being reinforced over its entire length. On both long sides of this reinforcement there are cylindrical grooves which are open to the sides through slots.
- the lying surface consists of a cover, which is provided on the two longitudinal edges with a piping, for example a tough, flexible plastic rod.
- the piping can, for example, be sewn into the respective folded edge of the cover. Different flexible tensile materials are used for the covers.
- the piping becomes firm and immovable in the outer grooves of the hollow profile spars inserted so that the covers are drawn from the outer longitudinal sides of the hollow profile spars over their tops. Ordinary blankets or fixed upholstery parts serve as supports.
- the invention is based on the object to provide a stretcher that is easy to manufacture and can be assembled from parts, the parts of which are easy to clean and which allows a simple change to different distances between the feet and in width.
- the object is achieved in that the longitudinal edges of the lying surface are guided through the mutually opposite inner slots and are held in the cylindrical grooves, that the feet with strip-like projections through the slots in the grooves engage and are mounted to be longitudinally displaceable and lockable, and that the outer ends of the retaining straps are provided with piping, which are held in a longitudinally displaceable manner in the outer cylindrical grooves.
- Figures 1 and 2 show an embodiment of a stretcher according to the invention with two lateral, longitudinal hollow profile bars 1 and 2, which are interconnected by cross members 21, 22 and 23.
- Push-in carrying handles 3, 4, 5 and 6 are provided at the ends of the hollow profile spars.
- Four feet 7, 8, 9 and 10 are also fastened to the hollow profile spars with rollers 11, 12.
- the lying surface is not shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the special construction and design of the lying surface is explained in detail below.
- a head and back support 13 and holding belts 31 and 32 are attached to the hollow profile spars. The relevant constructions are also explained in more detail below.
- the two hollow profile spars 1 and 2 have a special profile.
- Figure 6 shows this profile in cross section any place, for example the hollow profile spar 1.
- the profile is symmetrical with respect to the vertical central longitudinal plane. This simplifies the manufacturing process during extrusion and prevents warping.
- the cross section of the hollow profile spar is essentially rectangular, in the lower part 41.
- the two side walls and the lower wall have approximately the same thickness.
- the cavity 42 encompassed by them extends over the entire length of the hollow profile spar.
- the upper wall 43 has a reinforcement which also extends over the entire length of the hollow profile spar. In the middle height and on both long sides of this reinforcement there are slots 44 and 45 which open into enlarged approximately cylindrical grooves 46 and 47.
- the lying surface of the stretcher consists of an essentially flat plate 51.
- the plate can also be somewhat curved, ie curved downward in the shape of a trough.
- the longitudinal edges 52 and 53 of this plate 51 on both sides are guided through the mutually opposite inner slots 45 and 87 and held in the subsequent cylindrical grooves 47 and 90.
- the edges 52, 53 of the plate 51 held in the cylindrical grooves 47, 90 are expediently each surrounded by a plastic strand 49 or 50 filling the grooves. This prevents the metal parts from rattling against one another and also prevents the plate 51 from being moved unintentionally with respect to the hollow profile spars. Another attachment but is not required.
- This construction has the advantage that the plate can easily be exchanged for a wider or narrower plate, in accordance with the different standards in the individual countries or states.
- the feet 7 to 10 are provided with strip-like projections 64 according to FIGS. 7 and 8, which engage through the slots in the grooves.
- the feet are thus longitudinally displaceable and can thus be easily adjusted to the respective distance from one another in accordance with the standards of the individual states.
- the strip-like projections 64 have the great advantage that they provide very good stability and retention on the hollow profile spars because they extend over the entire length of the upper foot part according to FIG. 8. This is important in practice, because stretchers are treated very roughly when in use. In previously known stretchers, the feet were only fastened by rivets or screws which were subjected to strong shear stress, so that the feet loosened or even broke out.
- the feet can be fixed by side screws 67, 68 and 69.
- continuous bolts 65 and 66 can be provided, which are passed through the two rectangular legs 61 and 62 and the hollow profile spar, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8. Thanks to the strip-like projection 64, these screws or screw bolts are subjected to practically no shear stress.
- FIGS 7 and 8 illustrate the special construction of the foot 8, but which also applies to the other feet.
- the roller 12 is mounted between the triangular legs 56 and 57 by means of a screwed-in shaft 54.
- This axis 54 has an outwardly projecting Ver extension bolt 55 on.
- This extension bolt is used to snap the stretcher into a stretcher frame with a rest area after insertion into a patient transport vehicle and thus to secure the stretcher against displacement while driving.
- the inner triangular leg 56 carries a connecting sleeve 58, with which a crossbar 22 is easily detachably connected, for example by means of a pin or a screw 59.
- the web 60 is integrally connected to the rectangular legs 61 and 62, which encompass the hollow profile spar 1.
- a stop bar 63 is formed on the inner rectangular leg 61. This serves as a stop for the head and backrest 13 described in more detail below in the lowest position. These stop bars 63 are present at least on the feet attached after the head end of the stretcher.
- the outer ends of the holding straps provided with buckles 33 and 34 are provided with rod-shaped piping 35, 36, 37 and 38, which can be inserted loosely into the outer slots and grooves of the hollow section bars 1, 2.
- rod-shaped piping 35, 36, 37 and 38 can be inserted loosely into the outer slots and grooves of the hollow section bars 1, 2.
- Figures 1, 2 and 3 show that the head and backrest 13 has a substantially U-shaped bracket with the bracket parts 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20, the latter two bracket parts 19, 20 to avoid sharp-angled corners run obliquely.
- the temple ends, ie the ends of the legs 16, 18 of the bracket, are articulated by means of hinge pins 14, 15 on the inner sides of the hollow profile spars 1, 2 in such a way that the head and backrest 13 in the lowered end position according to FIG. 3 are at the level between the hollow profile spars 1, 2 is located.
- the outer legs 16, 18 then rest on the stop strips 63 described.
- a flat plate 71 is also inserted in the U-shaped bracket of the head and backrest 13.
- the gradual or, if necessary, infinitely variable height adjustment of the head and backrest 13 into an inclined position, for example according to FIG. 1, is carried out by means of an adjustment mechanism 25 with two lever arms 26, 27 and a latching device (not shown), the lever arms being connected to a rod by joints 28, 29 24 of the bracket are articulated in the form of a crossbar and another crossbar.
- the lever arms are connected to one another by a further joint 30. All cross members 21, 22 and 23 between the hollow profile spars are easily interchangeable, so that they can easily be exchanged for longer or shorter cross members in the factory. Also the Head and back support 13 can be made in different widths.
- a further U-shaped bracket 39 can be replaced as a footrest, in particular by means of a screw connection.
- This footrest can also be made in different widths.
- the footrest 39 has a corrugated handle cover 40, in particular in the central area, so that the stretcher can also be carried or lowered on this footrest at the foot end or inserted into an ambulance. Pushing the stretcher into a patient transport vehicle is further facilitated by sliders 70 at the lower end of the outer triangular legs 57.
- FIGS. 9 and 10 illustrate a further particularly advantageous embodiment of the stretcher according to the invention.
- a one-piece base 72 made of tensile material lies loosely on the flat plates 51 and 71, which are inserted between the hollow profile spars 1, 2 or in the head and backrest 13.
- This underlay can consist of a tensile fabric or a fiber-reinforced plastic or other usable material.
- the base is provided with a bow-shaped carrying handle 73 and 74 at the head and foot end and with further bow-shaped carrying handles 75, 76, 77 and 78 on the two longitudinal edges.
- suitable transverse slot-like openings 82 and 83 which are used to carry out additional shoulder straps, not shown, which are of the type of Suspended straps are easily detachable at suitable points on the stretcher.
- a support 79 in the form of a rectangular, flat, airtight, flexible hollow bag.
- This hollow sack has a filling made of small rigid foam particles 80 (FIG. 10).
- the sack is not completely filled with these rigid foam particles, so that they can be moved more or less within the sack, for example by pressure from the outside, so that a depression can be made at desired points, for example by pressure on the top in the direction of the arrow in FIG 86 or other depressions or increases.
- the shape of the pad can thus be adapted to the injured patient. If a sick person has a leg injury, for example, a depression can be provided at the site of the injury and the leg can be supported by shaping the bag appropriately at non-injured areas.
- the edges of the support 79 can also be folded downwards or in any direction, so that the support gives a better hold in the desired direction.
- the described support has another special feature, namely a lockable connection 81 for the temporary connection to a vacuum pump.
- a lockable connection 81 for the temporary connection to a vacuum pump.
- suction of the air from the sack can be carried out in whole or in part even after the patient lies on the pad. An even more individual adaptation to the body shape or injury points is then possible.
- Figures 11 to 13 illustrate another embodiment of a stretcher, in which, however, essential design features of the embodiment 1 to 6 are realized, so that the above statements in this regard, in particular as regards the connections with the hollow profile spars, also apply here analogously.
- the stretcher according to Figures 11 to 13 is designed to be collapsible.
- the lying surface 91 consists of a tensile fabric material, for example of a tent-like material.
- the longitudinal edges 52 and 63 are provided with piping, the shape of which corresponds approximately to the plastic strands 49 and 50 explained above. The longitudinal edges are again guided in the inner slots 45, 87 explained above and held in the cylindrical grooves 47 and 90 with the piping.
- the crossbeams 92 and 93 consist of articulated rods 94, 95, 96 and 97, which on the one hand have their outer ends in joints 98, 99, 100 and 101 on the hollow profile spars 1 and 2 and on the other hand their inner ends in double joints 105 and 106 are held. It is understood that the joints are provided with locking devices or locks, not shown, which ensure a rigid hold of the stretcher when this is unfolded in the operating position according to FIGS. 11 and 13.
- the articulated rods 94 to 97 can easily adjust can be designed kinked at the bottom, as can be seen from FIG.
- the stretcher is again provided with two transverse straps, as described above, the strap parts 102 and 103 being widened outward in a trapezoidal shape.
- a connection of the outer belt ends to the hollow profile spars 1 and 2 takes place again, as described above, while the belt parts are connected at the inner end to a belt buckle 104, at least one of the belt parts being adjustable in length.
- the stretcher shown in FIGS. 11 to 13 it is important, in addition to the construction features described, that the stretcher is as light as possible. For this reason, head and back support can be omitted here.
- the feet here are designed as fixed rectangular feet 107, 108 and 109, as shown in particular in FIG. The rectangular feet can again, as explained above, be attached to the hollow profile spars 1, 2 or alternatively under the hollow profile spars.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a stretcher with lateral, longitudinal hollow profile spars, which are connected to one another by cross members and have insertable carry handles at their ends, feet, a lying surface, a head and back support and holding belts being attached to the hollow profile spars, and wherein the hollow profile spars have an essentially rectangular cross-section, the upper wall of the hollow profile spars is reinforced over their entire length and cylindrical grooves are provided on both long sides of this reinforcement, which are open to the sides through slots.
Stretches of the aforementioned type are known from practice. From DE-PS 32 45 842 a stretcher with lateral, longitudinal hollow profile spars is known, at the ends of which push-in handles are provided. The carrying handles are easy to insert thanks to a special construction and can be locked automatically when pulled out. In this stretcher, hollow profile spars are provided which have an essentially rectangular cross section, the upper wall being reinforced over its entire length. On both long sides of this reinforcement there are cylindrical grooves which are open to the sides through slots. The lying surface consists of a cover, which is provided on the two longitudinal edges with a piping, for example a tough, flexible plastic rod. The piping can, for example, be sewn into the respective folded edge of the cover. Different flexible tensile materials are used for the covers. With these known stretchers, the piping becomes firm and immovable in the outer grooves of the hollow profile spars inserted so that the covers are drawn from the outer longitudinal sides of the hollow profile spars over their tops. Ordinary blankets or fixed upholstery parts serve as supports.
In the known stretchers, all carrying parts are firmly connected to one another, either by welding seams or by screw connections of this type, which can only be released with great effort, in any case not allow adjustability. This results in some problems in practice. On the one hand, it is necessary to clean and, if necessary, disinfect the carrying parts after use. However, this is difficult to carry out with firmly attached flexible covers. Fixed straps can practically not be cleaned at all. Another problem is that the height of the sick people to be transported is very different. As a result, firmly attached seat belts cannot be individually adjusted to the body size of the person concerned. Another problem is that the individual countries have different standard dimensions for stretchers. The differences in dimensions mainly concern the distance between the feet with the rollers and the width of the stretcher.
The invention is based on the object to provide a stretcher that is easy to manufacture and can be assembled from parts, the parts of which are easy to clean and which allows a simple change to different distances between the feet and in width.
The object is achieved in that the longitudinal edges of the lying surface are guided through the mutually opposite inner slots and are held in the cylindrical grooves, that the feet with strip-like projections through the slots in the grooves engage and are mounted to be longitudinally displaceable and lockable, and that the outer ends of the retaining straps are provided with piping, which are held in a longitudinally displaceable manner in the outer cylindrical grooves.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention result from the subclaims.

Figures 1 and 2 show an embodiment of a stretcher according to the invention with two lateral, longitudinal
The two hollow profile spars 1 and 2 have a special profile. Figure 6 shows this profile in cross section any place, for example the
Staaten. As FIG. 5 in particular shows and is also shown in the lower part of FIG. 9, the lying surface of the stretcher consists of an essentially
Schraubenbolzen praktisch keiner Scherbeanspruchung unterworfen. In the construction according to the invention, the
Figures 7 and 8 illustrate the special construction of the
It is also advantageous that the strip-
As can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 4, the outer ends of the holding straps provided with
Figures 1, 2 and 3 show that the head and
At the foot of the hollow profile spars 1 and 2, a further
It should be emphasized here that all the essential metallic support parts described so far, with the exception of screws, bolts, and the holding straps, are expediently made of light metal.
Figures 9 and 10 illustrate a further particularly advantageous embodiment of the stretcher according to the invention. Thereafter, a one-
On the
The above-described suction of the air from the sack can be carried out in whole or in part even after the patient lies on the pad. An even more individual adaptation to the body shape or injury points is then possible.
Figures 11 to 13 illustrate another embodiment of a stretcher, in which, however, essential design features of the
