Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for the display of pictures and posters, which are arranged interchangeably on a translucent endless conveyor belt, which is mounted in a housing, the front wall of which has a window, behind which there is a light source with which images are to be sequentially illuminated from behind , wherein the conveyor belt is guided over driven transport rollers and deflection rollers.
For the purpose of advertising or information, it is known to display pictures or posters in a housing in which they are illuminated from behind in order to appear conspicuous to the viewer and thus look eye-catching. Such advertising materials are all the more effective if they offer the viewer different large-format images in chronological order or to display posters in the manner of projected slide images.
In a known device, a plurality of images are interchangeably arranged on a conveyor belt which is mounted in a housing which is provided with a window on its front for the display of an image. Behind this window is a light source, such as a neon tube, with which the conveyor belt and the image arranged thereon, which can consist of a normal colored printed paper, is illuminated from behind, so that it appears from the outside in the window as a radiantly illuminated advertisement is visible. Further pictures can then be displayed in an adjustable time sequence by moving the conveyor belt further.
For the further movement of the conveyor belt and the images arranged on it, the belt is unwound like a film from a camera from a spool which is located above the window of the housing and wound on a driven second spool which is located under the window. Certain disadvantages are associated with this known device. So it is not possible to repeat a certain sequence of images continuously without interruption, as is expedient, for example, if a certain functional sequence is to be reproduced in several successive images. That's because of that cause that the conveyor belt has to be rewound from the lower spool to the upper spool after a first representation of the image sequence in order to be able to display the same image sequence again afterwards, that is to say an interruption in time. A major disadvantage, however, lies in the fact that the images are pressed or pressed when they are wound up on a spool and are therefore subjected to high stress. In addition, since they have to be wound up from one end as well as the other end for a repeated demonstration, it is necessary to fasten them at their upper and lower edges on the conveyor belt.
In other known devices, a smaller number of large images can be repeatedly displayed in consecutive order. However, this does not apply to a large number of images if they are each of great height. In addition, there is the danger in the known devices that during a demonstration, in particular of larger images, wrinkles form in the images in the course of their transport as a result of their mutual deflection, which can lead to damage to the images, or that stresses occur that lead to a Tear the pictures.
The object of the invention is to create a device for the display of translucent images fen, which allows a continuous repetition of a larger number of images with a simple construction and does not involve stress on the interchangeable images, so that these can be continuously shown over longer periods.
According to the invention it is provided that the conveyor belt is guided over several, parallel and above in the housing driven transport rollers, which are provided with a covering of foam, and alternately to the upper transport rollers via free-running deflection rollers, which are located below in the housing.
With this arrangement, the images to be displayed only need to be attached to the conveyor belt with their upper edge, preferably using an adhesive tab connected to the conveyor belt for each image, from which the latter can be easily detached in order to be exchanged for another image or poster . They are then transported by the drive of the transport rollers, which are provided with a covering of foam such as rubber foam, in order to be able to utilize an increased frictional connection between the conveyor belt and the transport rollers. The conveyor belt and thus the images are conveyed using the weight of those sections of the conveyor belt with images, that hang down on both sides of a transport roller. Since this weight in the area of the lower reversing rollers cannot be exploited for transport, they do not need to be driven, but rather can be freely supported. Nevertheless, there is sufficient tension on the conveyor belt and sufficient adhesion due to the resilient flexibility of the foam covering of the conveyor rollers. The free running of the lower rollers also helps to protect the images that come into direct contact with the lower deflection rollers when the conveyor belt rotates, while the upper conveyor rollers are only in direct contact with the more resistant conveyor belt, which is preferably made of a transparent plastic film like polyamide. The lower deflection rollers smooth the paper pictures before they are conveyed upwards.
The transport rollers are driven by a stepper motor. For this purpose, the uniformly designed transport rollers are each provided at the end with a gear wheel which is coupled to a drive wheel of the motor. Since the driven transport rollers do not have to be at the same height, their gearwheels in the manner of planetary gears can simultaneously and directly mesh with a common drive gearwheel of the motor.
For the actuation and shutdown of the motor, switching elements can be arranged on the edge of the conveyor belt, which interact with microswitches or inductive proximity switches. The arrangement is preferably such that the light source remains switched off during the transport of an image from its display position until the display of the subsequent image is reached, in order to prevent a projection during transport. The viewer does not recognize the change of images at all if the window is covered with a translucent plastic pane mirrored on the inside, which preferably represents the entire front wall of the housing. When the light source is switched off, such a translucent mirror pane causes the viewer to see himself in the game picture while a picture is being transported to its display position and, in its rest position, can see this picture illuminated when the drive motor is stopped and the light source is switched on.
Commissioning of the device in the manner of switching on the light source and thus for displaying an image can preferably be controlled via an infrared transmitter or a pulse transmitter, which is effective on the basis of a passive infrared beam, in such a way that when a passerby approaches via the Infrared transmitter triggers a pulse that starts the device.
In order to facilitate the exchange or exchange of images, it is provided in an embodiment that the mirror disk is held in a frame which is pivotally connected or detachably connected to the housing by means of a plug-in connection, so that an image in the exhibition position is easily exposed and can be exchanged for another one, in order to then operate the stepper motor until the following picture is in the display and can also be replaced. Here, too, it is useful if the individual components of the housing are assembled in a modular manner. Such is made possible by plug connections for the strips of a front and rear frame, in which the front and rear walls are to be fastened, as well as by plug connections between the side walls of the housing for their cohesion and the reception of pegs through which the frame connects to the rest Casings are to be connected.
The areas of application of a device according to the invention are not limited to use for the purpose of advertising, for example a shop window advertisement or other poster advertising, and not to convey information such as the reproduction of site plans, signposts or the representation of functions by the reproduction of a Sequence of images. Rather, the device can also be used, for example, as a table top of a table for reproducing the presentation of menus or the illustration of menus that are mentioned in the menu or for the reproduction of different games and board games such as chess, monopoly or "Mensch Annger dich nicht ". The decorative effect of the mirror pane is particularly advantageous when the image is not in use. The same applies if the device is used, for example, as a stand for a table top, such as a counter for serving the public.
