Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a stand-up pouch made of a heat-sealable or weldable plastic film for receiving liquid and / or pasty media with a removal opening, which has two side walls, essentially rectangular surface parts, which are sealed to one another on their longitudinal edges, with between the lower Transversal edges are a foldable, inserted between the side walls, serving as a stand bottom bottom part and in the area of the upper end of the side walls a foldable, inserting between the side walls, forming a ceiling part are inserted.
Stand-up pouches made of plastic films are known in particular as disposable packaging for beverages. Usually, these are pointed packaging with a filling volume of 0.2 l. The films used in such beverage packaging have a thin aluminum film layer, which stabilizes the packaging, among other things. A base is incorporated into the underside so that the bag can be placed on a base even after it has been opened without the contents of the bag running out of the removal opening or the bag tipping over. In the case of such beverage packs, for example, the removal opening can be predetermined by a predetermined puncture opening through which a straw tapering at its end can be pierced.
In addition to beverages, liquid or pasty media, for example liquid detergents, are filled into foil bags. Such foil bags are mainly used as refill packs.
In order to achieve increased stability of such stand-up pouches with a lower base part which is inserted between the side walls, such stand-up pouches preferably consisting of two wall parts welded to one another, an additional cover part is built in, which is constructed similarly to the stand base.
A fundamental advantage of the film bags can be seen in the fact that they can be folded up very flat in the unfilled state and thus take up little space. Stand-up pouches with a larger volume, i.e. with a volume of up to two liters, are practically not used for fillings that are removed in portions, since an opened bag, for example by cutting off an upper corner edge, does not sufficiently guarantee that when air enters the interior and after a partial removal of the Sufficient stability remains.
The object of the invention is to provide a stand-up pouch which has sufficient stability even when the contents are partially removed, the contents of which can be removed in portions, which is easy to handle and transport, which is easy to manufacture and which can be stored in a space-saving manner when not filled .
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the removal opening is formed by a closable removal nozzle which has a flange at one end with which it is fastened in the upper region of one of the side walls. The contents of the stand-up pouch can be removed in portions through the closable dispensing nozzle. The removal nozzle is located in the upper area of the side walls, so that the stand-up pouch can also be set up on its stand base without the contents of the stand-up pouch being able to escape from the open removal nozzle. It is essential here that the stand-up pouch has a stable shape, which is given in particular by the fact that the stand-up pouch has an additional cover part which corresponds approximately to the bottom part. The extraction nozzle, which has a flange at its end has, can easily be sealed into this side wall of the stand-up pouch or welded onto it by means of this flange. The flange is preferably sealed against the inside of the side wall, the removal nozzle being passed through an opening in the side wall. The flange should have a width between 4 mm and 8 mm so that there is sufficient sealing surface to seal this flange tightly into the side wall. The thickness of the flange should be a maximum of 2 mm so that the stand-up pouch is not unnecessarily thickened in the region of the flange, in particular with a view to space-saving storage of the empty, folded-up pouch. As a closure, the removal nozzle, preferably at its outer end, should have an external thread onto which a closure cap is screwed. In this configuration, the stand-up pouch can be closed tightly without even thin contents being able to escape. As an alternative to this, the removal nozzle can have radial projections or undercuts on its outside as a kind of quick-release fastener, to which a cover cap is clamped. Such a cover cap can be attached or removed to the extraction nozzle against a slight resistance.
In order to be able to utilize the interior of the stand-up pouch as far as possible into the area of the top wall, the removal nozzle is preferably 10 mm apart from the sealing seam formed between the side wall and the top wall, it being arranged approximately in the middle between the two sealing seams which connect the side walls to one another is.
For series production, different types of extraction nozzles, for example with different diameters at their ends, can be provided, which are then sealed into a punched-out area that forms the passage through the side wall. Around side walls with a cut-out, which is preferably circular, are the same To use diameter for different tapping nozzles, the tapping nozzle should have an intermediate flange at its base, ie at the part connected to the flange, which has the same diameter in all the tapping nozzles to be used, corresponding to the punched-out area.
For easy handling of the stand-up pouch, handle openings are provided, which are formed in protruding side walls that extend beyond the cover part. These handle openings, for example in an easy to manufacture design in the form of punched slots, are easily accessible above the ceiling part. For the simple production of the two handle openings, these are punched congruently in the two side walls when the bag is folded up, so that they are directly opposite when the bag is filled. For uniform distribution of the tensile forces in the area of the handle openings on the side walls, these run approximately parallel to the ceiling sealing seam between the side surfaces and the ceiling part.
The stand-up pouch is made from prefabricated, heat-sealable surface parts, preferably from a two-layer composite film. Excellent properties are achieved by a polyethylene film facing the interior and a polyester film forming the outer skin. The use of a polyethylene film in the form of a coextrusion film - this is a multilayer film - offers the advantage that the film which forms the inner wall of the stand-up pouch can be adapted in accordance with the use of the stand-up pouch and the given requirements. For example, the side of the film to be sealed can be designed to be particularly seal-friendly; Furthermore, a higher stiffness can be achieved with such a coextrusion film by changing the composition. The thickness of the polyester film facing outwards is at least 10 μm, preferably 12 μm, while the inward facing polyethylene film or coextrusion film should have a thickness of 80 to 200 µm, preferably a thickness of 100 µm to 150 µm. In order to also be able to fill the stand-up pouch with solvent-containing or migration-sensitive products, a thin aluminum foil acting as a barrier layer is inserted between the individual film layers, preferably following the inward-facing film, which, depending on the size of the stand-up pouch, has a thickness between 8 µm and 15 µm should have. Such an aluminum layer prevents, for example, the escape of solvent through the walls of the bag or, with regard to migration-sensitive products, the penetration of oxygen into the bag and thus into the product.
So that the greatest possible stability of the bag is obtained, it is advantageous that the bag assumes an almost cylindrical shape when filled. To achieve this, the two side walls are rectangular and sealed together on the long sides. The bottom part and the top part have an approximately circular cut; The bottom part and the top part are sealed on the side walls of the folded bag along a semi-circular sealing seam. Deviating from such a rectangular shape of the side walls or the cylindrical shape of the filled stand-up pouch, the side walls can taper slightly towards the upper cover part, so that the filled stand-up pouch forms a truncated cone.

All blanks from which the stand-up pouch is formed consist of a two-layer plastic film, as shown in section in FIG. 5. The outward-pointing film 8, which forms the outer skin, is a polyester film with a thickness of 12 μm, while the
The stand-up pouch with an approximately cylindrical outer contour has a sealed-in
Near this
The
