Abstract

Rolled nonferrous sheets for covering a roof and for cladding a wall can be laid, starting at the eaves, on an underlying structure by means of cleats locked into the seam and can be connected to one another by cross welted seams extending at their sides. In order to achieve an improvement in the structural performance while keeping the wind load as low as possible, the nonferrous sheets have a rhombic or square shape and the cross welted seams are attached, on the side remote from the building, in the upper sheet half (6) and, on the building side, in the lower sheet half (8). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to rolled non-ferrous metal sheets, preferably made of band-rolled alloyed zinc according to DIN 17770, for roofing and facade cladding, which can be laid on the substructure against the direction of the fall on a substructure by means of fixed rabbets and connected by simple transverse folds lying on their sides, have a rhombic or square shape and the cross folds are provided on the building side in the upper half of the sheet and on site in the lower half of the sheet.

Because of the good corrosion resistance to weathering and / or because of the aesthetically satisfactory appearance and a sufficiently good workability, rolled zinc, copper, aluminum and lead sheets have been used for roof coverings and facade cladding for a long time, especially in the form of narrow strips and boards. These are fastened to a corresponding substructure or on a formwork with fixings and connected to one another by lying or standing folds. In the present, such sheets are used particularly for the design of facades and, due to their color and shape, represent an optical enrichment in building construction (DE-B-1 509 114; company lettering: RHEINZINK (R) IM HOCHBAU, Rheinzink GmbH, Datteln, 1986, pp. 17-47).

Also known from DE-B-2 702 939 is a roof covering made of sheet metal, which has a bent edge and a bent connecting strip at a distance therefrom, which is encompassed in the roof covering by the bent edge of the neighboring plate and forms a cavity together with the latter, which is filled with a hollow connecting profile. The metal sheets are braced against each other by adhesions that attack them and the roof structure. By using circular or polygonal cross-section Connection profiles are the roofing work associated with a not inconsiderable effort. In addition, the surface design of the roof covering offers numerous areas of attack to wind forces.

In DE-C-2 908 892 sheets for roof coverings are provided which have an essentially rhombus-shaped shape and whose angled edge regions are designed in sections to overlap the edge areas of an adjacent sheet and in sections to be received in an angled edge area of an adjacent sheet. These sheets, which can only be produced with a comparatively considerable effort by extrusion, deep drawing or similar forming measures, can no longer be changed in their shape during processing on the building, so that connections to walls, roof parts, chimneys, roof openings etc. are only very difficult are producible.

Die aus derartigen Deckplatten hergestellte Deckung ist mit einem relativ groben Materialaufwand verbunden und unterliegt wegen ihrer Oberflächenausbildung einer erhöhten Windlast.DE-C-3 700 595 describes a metallic cover plate for covering roofs and walls, which are divided by a double acute-angled, Z-shaped fold into two parallel, overlapping in the area of the fold, in the use position upper and lower plate parts. The lower plate part is provided with a simple acute-angled stop bend at the lower edge and the upper plate part is extended by a fastening edge, so that the upper bend can be used as a stop bar for the lower edge-side bend of the cover plate of the next higher row of cover plates and thus only the bottom row of cover plates must be aligned horizontally. The cover made of such cover plates is associated with a relatively large amount of material and is subject to an increased wind load due to its surface formation.

Also known (FR-A-427 360) is rhombic or square sheets suitable for roofing and facade cladding to be used, which are laid on a substructure by means of fixed rabbets and are connected to one another by simple transverse folds which are bent on their sides and which are provided on the building side in the upper half of the sheet and on site in the lower half of the sheet. Since the folds are over the edge of the sheets, the sheets that adjoin at the top left and right cannot be pushed onto the cross folds of the upper sheet half of the previous sheet without hindrance.

Das untere Ende der Verstärkungszunge bildet eine einspringende Ecke und greift in eine als nach unten vorstehender Bordwinkel ausgebildete Wassernase der diagonal anschließenden Platte ein.DE-B-1 035 342 relates to rhombus-shaped roof tiles with folds running around the entire length of the side edges, which are directed upwards on the upper sheet metal half and downwards on the lower sheet metal sheet, one from the blank at the upper corner of the roof sheet the plate punched out tab is provided, on the top of which a reinforcing tongue provided with a nail hole for attachment to the substructure is attached. The lower end of the reinforcing tongue forms a recessed corner and engages in a water lug of the diagonally adjoining plate, which is designed as a protruding flange angle.

It is the object of the present invention to carry out rolled non-ferrous sheets for roofing and facade cladding of the form described at the outset in such a way that the water drainage and the sheet's ability to be improved is improved.

The solution to this problem is that the corner located in the direction of the fall on the lower half of the sheet metal is bent on site to form an eaves edge and the long sides of the transverse folds provided on the upper sheet metal half each have a recess, the depth of which is at least the wall thickness corresponds to the bending zone of the foldable that can be pushed onto the leg of the transverse fold.

The sheets thus formed can be laid in a template covering with the diagonal running in the direction of fall so that a symmetrical pattern with a rhythmic change from obliquely upward to one side and to the other side step-shaped lines is created. Such a stencil covering offers only slight possibilities of attack to wind forces. The NE sheets, which are diagonally to the left and right at the top, can be pushed onto the cross folds of the upper sheet half of the previous sheet with one of their cross folds on the lower sheet half. The eaves edge enables an optimal distribution of the dripping moisture.

In the context of the preferred embodiment of the invention, the circuit board for producing the non-ferrous metal sheets has a rhombic or square outline with corner cuts, which has a rhombic or square codiagonal shape in the area of one diagonal and an arrowhead-shaped shape with the axis of symmetry in the area of the other diagonal Have shape and are so large that the cross folds to be bent do not overlap in the corner areas.

In order to enable a crack-free and unbreakable formability, in particular cold deformation of the blank or non-ferrous metal sheets, according to a further feature of the invention, the rolling direction of the blank runs parallel to two parallel sides.

The invention is illustrated by way of example in the drawing and is explained in more detail below.

Fig. 1 shows a plan view of a stamped from band-rolled titanium zinc according to DIN 17770 board (1) of 0.7 mm thickness of rhombic outline with corner cuts (2,3), which in Area of the smaller diagonal has a rhombic, codiagonally arranged shape and, in the area of the coarser diagonal, an arrowhead-shaped shape with the axis of symmetry attached codiagonally. In the corner points of the meeting sides of the inner corners created by the corner cuts (2) in the area of the smaller diagonal, the bend lines (4) of the legs (5,5 ′) of the transverse folds to be molded intersect with dash-dotted lines, on the upper half of the plate (6) extending sides each have a recess (7) is provided.
