Description

The hanging files with lateral or vertical access consist of pockets each formed by a folded sheet of cardboard or similar material and into which documents to be filed can be introduced. The files are supported by hooks placed at the end of rods to which are fixed the upper edges of the sheet constituting the file, these hooks resting on side rails belonging to a storage unit.

Thus there is known from French patent No. 1,330,836 and its first certificate of addition No. 93 346 and the French patent 78 10729 published under No. 2422508, hanging folders comprising a rod constituted by a thread rigid round section retained by gluing in a fold of each of the upper edges of the sheet forming the pocket of the hanging file, this rigid wire being associated with attachment end pieces which are fitted at its ends and have a flat tongue engaged in said folded back and made integral therewith, either by riveting or by gluing.

The various known embodiments of the suspended files thus require the production of various elements, the assembly of which must be done in the factory and which cannot be offered in kit form to the customers.

The object of the present invention is in particular to simplify the manufacture and mounting of the files, by allowing the use for the rod and the hook, of a piece of injected plastic material which, by folding back on itself, traps the upper edges of the pocket of hanging file, pocket in which perforations have been provided allowing its irreversible attachment to the plastic part.

This system makes it possible to use any kind of material to constitute the pocket, since no gluing or welding process is necessary.

In addition, it makes it possible to sell the product in kit form to consumers, since the plastic part and the pocket can be very easily mounted manually by the buyer so as to produce a hanging file.

According to the invention, the hanging file consisting of a folded sheet forming a pocket and two hanging rods mounted on the upper edges of the folded sheet is characterized in that the sheet has perforations at least on its upper edges and in that the suspension rod is made up of two bands linked together on an area delimiting a fold line, the first of these two bands comprising tenons and the second of the eyelets facing the tenons, the number of tenons being at most equal the number of perforations of said upper edges and the arrangement of the tenons corresponding to at least some of said perforations, so that the tenons of the first strip can, after folding the rod around one of said upper edges, penetrate into eyelets of the second strip passing through said perforations.

Various other characteristics of the invention will also emerge from the detailed description which follows.

In fig. 1, a hanging folder 1 is illustrated, which is constituted, in a known manner, by a pocket 2 formed by a folded sheet 3 and into which documents of the letter or similar type can be introduced laterally or vertically.

The sheets 3 are generally made of cardboard but, for reasons of strength, it may be preferable to manufacture them, for example, from plastic and, at least their upper edges 4 as well as possibly one of their side edges 5, have perforations 6 whose role will be better understood from the description below.

Similarly, the suspension rods 7 are fixed to the upper edges 4 of the sheet 3 and have at their ends notches 8 directed downwards and constituting hooks for mounting the hanging files on the side rails of a storage unit. , not shown.

In accordance with the invention, and as appears more particularly in FIGS. 2 and 3, the suspension rod 7 which is generally formed of a piece of injected or molded plastic, and in particular of polypropylene, comprises two adjacent strips 10, 11 and connected together by a zone 12 of lower resistance and delimiting a fold line. In addition, the strip 10 comprises at least one male piece or tenon 13 to which a female piece or eyelet 14 formed in the strip 11 corresponds.

Thus, and as is clear from FIG. 3, when the rod 7 is folded by pivoting on the fold line 12 and the strip 10 is therefore folded over the strip 11 around the upper edges 4 of the sheet 3, the tenons 13 each penetrate into a corresponding eyelet 14 while crossing a perforation of the upper edges 4 of the sheet 3.

In this regard, and although the files with seven perforations have been shown in the drawing, a different number of perforations can be provided, in particular according to the length of the upper edges 4. For example, for files whose upper edges 4 have a length between approximately 30 and 35 cm, preferably ten perforations are provided.

1).One thus obtains, in all cases, a practically irreversible attachment of the suspension rod 7 with the pocket 2 of the suspended file (see fig. 1).

It would obviously not go beyond the scope of the invention to provide that the strip 10 of the suspension rod 7 has a succession of tenons 13 and / or eyelets 14 to which the same number of eyelets 14 and tenons 13 would correspond respectively. of band 11.

It should however be noted that the number of studs 13 cannot in any event be greater than that of the perforations 6 provided in the upper edges 4, and that each stud must have a perforation 6 and an eyelet 14 corresponding.

1.The hanging file 1 according to the invention may, in addition, include labels 15 (fig. 4a) and 16 (fig. 4b) making it possible to index the hanging files both horizontally and vertically as can be seen from the fig. 1.

To this end, the label 15 has the shape of a pair of pliers with two branches 15a, 15b which can be formed on a part of the label 15, as shown, or over the entire length of the latter, and at least the one of the branches has a hole and preferably two holes 15c. It is thus possible to clip the label 15 onto the suspension rod 7, the head of one of the studs 13 entering the hole 15c of the label (fig. 1). If more than one hole 15c is provided on the branches of the label, it is necessary for the interval between the holes 15c to correspond to that between two studs 13 of the rod.

1). La protubérance 16c de l'étiquette 16 joue ainsi le même rôle d'accrochage que le trou 15c de l'étiquette 15 et les mêmes remarques s'appliquent en ce qui concerne tant le nombre et l'emplacement des protubérances que la disposition des branches 16a, 16b.Likewise, the label 16 also has the shape of a clamp with two branches 16a, 16b similar to the branches 15a, 15b of the label 15, and at least one protuberance 16c is provided on one of the branches, this protuberance penetrating into a perforation 6 of the side edges of the pocket 2 when the label 16 is clipped onto these side edges (fig. 1). The protrusion 16c of the label 16 thus plays the same attachment role as the hole 15c of the label 15 and the same remarks apply with regard to both the number and the location of the protrusions and the arrangement of the branches 16a, 16b.

In order to allow a connection of two adjacent files side by side, provision can be made for the suspension rods 7 to have hooking elements at their ends.

Thus, and as shown schematically in FIG. 5, a female element or eyelet 17 similar to the eyelets 14 of the preceding figures is provided for example above one of the hooks 8 at one end of the suspension rod 7 whose other end is provided with a male element 18 similar to tenon 13 and also provided for example above the other hook 8 of the suspension rod 7.

1. Ainsi, l'élément mâle 18a de la tringle de suspension 7a d'un des dossiers suspendus pénètre dans l'oeillet 17b de la tringle de suspension 7b de l'autre dossier, et, de même, l'élément mâle 18b de la tringle de suspension 7b du dossier adjacent pénètre dans l'oeillet 17 de la tringle de suspension 7a.Fig. 6 shows a connection using the hooking elements of the invention of two hanging files produced according to FIG. 1. Thus, the male element 18a of the suspension rod 7a of one of the hanging files enters the eyelet 17b of the suspension rod 7b of the other file, and, likewise, the male element 18b of the hanging rod 7b of the adjacent backrest enters the eyelet 17 of the hanging rod 7a.

The hooking elements thus described allow a connection, preferably removable, of several hanging files placed adjacent to each other side by side, and these hooking elements which are thus of the so-called "press button" type, are formed either directly by molding of the suspension rod at the same time as the pins 13 and eyelets 14, or are incorporated into the suspension rod by any suitable process after manufacture of this part.

In fig. 7 there are shown two other ways, in accordance with the invention, of connecting two by two of the adjacent hanging files.

In A, two rods similar to those of the preceding figures are placed astride the opposite edges of two adjacent files 1a, 1b, one of the rods being placed below and the other above by trapping the two upper edges of them files 1a and 1b.

Thus, the pins of the bar 10a of the lower suspension rod 7c penetrate into the eyelets of the bar 11b of the upper suspension rod 7d passing through perforations 6 of one of the upper edges 4 of the first suspension file 1a. Likewise, tenons of the bar 10b of the upper suspension rod 7d penetrate into the eyelets of the bar 11a of the lower suspension rod 7c passing through perforations 6 of one of the upper edges 4 of the second file 1b.

In B, a single rod 7 ′ has likewise been provided connecting together two adjacent hanging files 1 a and 1 c, the rod 7 ′ then being placed astride the upper adjacent edges 4 of the files 1 a and 1 c whose perforations 6 are arranged the one in front of the others.

In this embodiment, the tenons of the bar 10 ′ of the rod 7 ′ penetrate into the eyelets of the bar 11 ′ passing through at least some of the perforations 6.

The system according to the invention makes it possible to use any kind of material to constitute the folder pocket, since no gluing or welding process is necessary. It suffices to fold down on itself the plastic part forming the hanging rod.

In addition, the components of the hanging file can be sold as a kit to consumers, because the plastic part and the pocket can be very easily mounted manually by the buyer.

The invention is not limited to the embodiments shown and described in detail since various modifications can be made thereto without departing from its scope.
