Abstract

The weather-protection door has an upper (1) and a lower (2) horizontal door frame component which can be swung open outwards about vertical axes (3) in the housing frame (4-7) surrounding the air inlet orifice. Arranged between the two horizontal door frame components (1, 2), there are vertically extending lamina-like droplet collector sections (8) located next to one another which have a profile bending directed laterally in the same direction between the outside and the inside of the door. The height of the bending is at least as large in the horizontal direction as the horizontal inner diameter of the air vents between the droplet collector sections. The lower horizontal door frame component (2) is provided with a water outlet on the air vents. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a weather protection door for the air inlet opening of ventilation systems according to the preamble of claim 1.

A weather protection door of this type is known from GB-A-1 363 094. A weather protection grille which is firmly inserted into a wall opening and in which vertically running droplet separator profiles have a curved profile profile between the outside and the inside of the weather protection grille is known from US Pat. No. 3,771,430.

In ventilation systems with an air inlet exposed to the weather, e.g. B. in the roof ventilators installed on building roofs, the arranged in the air inlet opening, preventing the passage of rain weather protection grille must often be designed as a door to through the air inlet opening access for maintenance work on the ventilation system components, such as. B. filters, flaps, blowers or actuators and the like. Due to the ever more compact design of the ventilation units, there are increased demands on such rainproof weather protection doors for air intakes. The previously used weather protection doors, which are formed with the conventional blind-like weather protection grille from horizontal separating lamellae and are accordingly sealed at the door edges with door gap seals against the installation frame surrounding the air inlet opening, do not meet the increased requirements. The space for these conventional weather protection doors for those behind the Doors in the interior of the ventilation unit require water collecting trays, is not available in most cases with the increasingly compact ventilation units. The negative pressure prevailing on the inside of the air inlet additionally increases the requirements for the rainproof design and sealing of the weather protection doors for the air inlets of ventilation systems.

The invention has for its object, especially for the air intake of such ventilation systems, in which due to the compact design of the air inlet and the ventilation system components are close together and the provided in connection with the conventional weather protection grilles behind the door can not be used due to space reasons To create weather protection doors that reliably and safely separate the rainwater from the air sucked in by the ventilation system in any wind direction, even in heavy rainfalls with gusts of wind or whirlwinds, with only a small flow resistance for the air flow passing through, and even without the conventional ones Weatherproof doors for sealing the door edges with respect to the installation frame surrounding the air inlet opening required door seals z. B. reliably prevents penetration of rainwater through the separation point between the door and the mounting frame in the form of elastic rubber sealing profiles.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the features contained in the characterizing part of claim 1. The use of the vertical droplet separator profiles as a weather protection door ensures that the separated water at each droplet separator profile is drained directly vertically to the water drainage of the door, even with high separating capacities and the profile shape or profile curvature of the droplet separator profiles can be chosen so that even the most unfavorable wind directions have no influence on the completeness and reliability of the separation performance. With the further design measures specified in claim 1 according to Invention can be ensured that without a tightly fitting contact between the door and the mounting frame containing the air inlet opening, no rain water penetrates through the two vertical and on the two horizontal door edges. The invention is described in more detail with reference to the drawing, in which a preferred embodiment of the weather protection door according to the invention is shown. Show it

Each door leaf of the two-leaf weather protection door in the illustrated embodiment consists of an upper horizontal door frame part 1 and a lower horizontal door frame part 2. The horizontal door frame parts 1 and 2 are around vertical door hinge bolts 3 in a housing frame surrounding the air inlet opening, which consists of the two horizontal housing frame parts 4 and 5 and the two vertical housing frame parts 6 and 7, pivoted outwards. Between the two horizontal door frame parts 1 and 2, the weather protection door consists of vertically running and lamella-like droplet separator profiles 8. These droplet separator profiles 8 are formed between the outside of the door and the inside of the door with a profile curvature which is directed sideways in the same direction. The profile curvature has a height of curvature in the horizontal direction that is at least as large as the horizontal clear width of the air passages between the droplet separator profiles, so that in every wind direction, in the worst case, water drops on the outside of the door enter the air passages, the water drops from the Mist eliminator profiles collected and separated and cannot escape from the air outlets on the inside of the door. In a particularly preferred manner, the droplet separator profiles not only consist of a strip of lamella curved between its two longitudinal edges or in another form having the same effect, but are the droplet separator profiles 8 following their profile edge pointing towards the outside of the door, initially with a flat profile wall part 9 which is essentially at right angles to the door plane formed with which adjacent droplet separator profiles form a straight calming section of the air passage and then adjoins the wall part of the droplet separator profile having the profile curvature in the direction of the inside of the door. This profile wall part, which has the profile curvature, preferably also runs out again with a profile edge strip 10, which is at right angles to the door plane, and runs to the inside of the door. With this profile shape, air flows entering the air passages are initially calmed down in order to further increase the reliability and effectiveness of the water droplet separation at the profile curvatures of the droplet separator profiles. In a further advantageous embodiment, the droplet separator profiles have a vertically extending lip 11 at the highest point of their convex profile curvature and preferably also at the end of their concave profile curvature pointing towards the inside of the door, which protrudes into the air passage and forms a vertical separating channel which is open in a U-shape to the outside of the door. These separators prevent water drops from flowing after the separation on the profile curvature lying in front of the lip 11 on the surface of the drop separator profiles to the profile edge on the inside of the door. The droplet separator profiles 8 can contain built-in heating wires of a deicing heater and, for. B. made of aluminum as a good heat conductor, thereby ensuring in winter that the separators formed by the lips 11 remain free of ice and snow.

The rainproof, special door seals in the According to the invention, the formation of the vertical separation points between the weather protection door and the housing frame surrounding the air inlet opening to avoid door gaps consists in that a fixed drop separator profile 12 is arranged on the two vertical housing frame parts 6, which fits in the profile curvature to the drop separator profiles 8 of the door and with the neighboring one , the vertical door edge forming droplet separator profile of the door forms an air passage as a door gap, which is impermeable to rain in the same way as the air passages that form the droplet separator profiles 8 of the door between themselves. Just like the air passages of the door, the air passage between the fixed droplet separator profile 12 of the housing frame and the adjacent droplet separator profile 8 of the door is connected to a water drain, which will be described in more detail. On the vertical door edge containing the door hinges, the two adjacent profiles 12 and 8 pivot apart or into one another about the door hinge axis 3 when the door is opened or closed. At the swinging out other vertical door edge, the two similar adjacent droplet separator profiles can be brought past one another in a simple manner when opening or closing the door, that the door, as the illustrated embodiment shows, has two leaves and the two door leaves interacting drop separator profiles on their opposite vertical edges 8 have and at the same time be opened from the closed position or pivoted back into the closed position.

The rainproof, special door seals in the door gap avoiding the formation of the horizontal separation points between the weather protection door and the housing frame according to the invention consists in that the lower horizontal housing frame part 5 consists of a substantially U-shaped upward open hollow profile and the upper horizontal housing frame part 4 from a substantially U. -have a hollow profile open at the bottom. The lower frame hollow profile 5 has a door-outside profile wall 13, via which the lower door frame part 2 can be pivoted out of the air inlet opening and which forms a narrowed door gap with this lower door frame part 2, preferably via an edge 14 of the profile wall 13, which is angled in an approximately U-shaped manner. The profile floor 15 of the lower hollow frame section 5 then forms a wide space with the lower door frame part 2, which adjoins the narrowed door gap and in which the air flow entering through the narrowed door gap calms down in such a way that water drops carried along by the incoming air flow to the floor of the direct formed as a collecting pan and serving lower frame hollow section 5 and are separated from the air and do not reach the separation point between the lower door frame part 2 and the inside wall 16 of the lower frame hollow section 5. The inside wall of the profile wall 16 of the lower hollow frame section 5 expediently overlaps in height the lower door frame part 2 in order to form a door stop for the inwardly pivoted lower door frame part. In the water catchment space formed by the lower frame hollow profile 5, the water outlet opens out, through which the water separated on the droplet separator profiles of the door and the fixed droplet separator profiles of the housing frame and drains down. The upper horizontal frame hollow profile 4 has in an analogous manner a profile wall 17 on the outside of the door, which forms a narrowed door gap with the upper door frame part 1, a profile wall 18 on the inside of the door, which forms a door stop for the inwardly pivoted upper door frame part 1, and a profile floor 19, which with the Upper door frame part 1 forms a wide space adjoining the narrowed door gap and calming the incoming air flow. Also in this space occurs such a calming of the air flow entering the outside profile wall 17 through the narrowed door gap that water droplets entrained on the The top of the upper door frame part should fall down and be separated and in no case be carried along from the air to the point of separation between the inside wall 18 of the profile and the door frame part 1. The upper door frame part 1 is provided with water passages 20 in the form of longitudinal slots through which the separated water accumulating on the upper side of the upper horizontal door frame part 1 can flow to the air passages between the droplet separator profiles 8 of the door, in order then to pass through the droplet separator profiles Drain the drain pan of the lower hollow frame section 5. The lower horizontal door frame part 2 can have similar longitudinal slots as a water outlet through which the water flowing down the droplet separator profiles flows into the lower hollow frame profile 5.
