- the present invention relates to the application of labels to articles from a continuous strip consisting of a non-stick support of the silicone type on which the labels are placed. It relates more particularly to an automatic labeling machine, in which the label support strip is unwound and passes over a distribution plate at a sharp angle, so that the label detaches from the strip when the strip passes over the edge of the plate and can be affixed to an article.
- Labeling machines of this type include not only means for unwinding the strip coming from the supply reel but also means for winding the strip free of labels, after passing over the distribution plate.
- the formation of the sharp angle at the level of the distribution plate is obtained by passing the strip over at least two detour rods placed near this plate and which deflect the strip in its path from the reel of supply and extending towards the receiving coil.
- All of these means of moving the belt are controlled as a function of the presentation of the articles, generally by means of a mechanical or opto-electronic sensor, placed at the level of the conveyor belt on which said articles move.

- This braking assembly comprises a brake shoe capable of being applied to a drum integral with the axis of the supply reel, a pivoted bent lever having at one end the brake shoe and at the other a guide roller for the strip, and finally a return spring which is integral with the lever and which tends to apply the pad on the drum.
- the movement of the strip by a toothed wheel creates tension on the strip and, correspondingly, the movement of the guide roller and the pivoting of the lever. This pivoting unlocks the shoe which was in contact with the drum, allows the reel to rotate around its axis and therefore the strip to advance.
- the braking of the supply coil and the tensioning of the strip in its path between the detour rods and the distribution plate are obtained by means of a double pivoting, on the one hand that of the part on which is mounted the first detour rod and on the other hand that of the lever which causes the application or the release of the stop blocking the rotation of the axis of the supply reel.

Claims (1)
- Etikettiermaschine mit einer Rolle (3) zum Abwickeln eines Trägerbandes (1) für Etiketten (2), einer Aufnahmerolle (12) für das Band, nachdem die Etiketten abgelegt worden sind, einer Verteilerplatte (6), die in der Nähe zweier Ablenkstifte (5, 7) angeordnet ist, die das Band (1) derart umlenken, daß dieses auf seinem Weg zwischen dem ersten Umlenkstift (5), der Platte (6) und dem zweiten Umlenkstift (7) spitze Winkel einschließt und einem Antriebssystem (8, 9) für das Band, das hinter dem zweiten Umlenkungsstift (7) angeordnet ist, gekennzeichnet durcha) einen Arm (16), an dessen Ende der erste Umlenkungsstift (5) befestigt ist, wobei der Arm schwenkbar um eine erste Achse (17) ist,b) einem Teil (18), auf dem einerseits ein Anschlag (20) und andererseits die erste Achse (17) angebracht sind, wobei dieses Teil (18) selbst bezüglich einer zweiten Achse (21) schwenkbar ist, die auf dem Rahmen (15) der Maschine befestigt ist,c) einem ersten Rückholorgan, das mit dem schwenkbaren Teil (18) und dem Rahmen (15) der Maschine fest verbunden ist, welches das Teil (18) up eine zweite Achse (21) derart verschwenken kann, daß der Anschlag (20) direkt oder indirekt gegen die Drehachse der Rolle zur Förderung des Bandes (3) andrückt, undd) einem zweiten Rückholorgan, das an dem schwenkbaren Teil (18) und dem Arm (16) befestigt ist, welches den Arm (16) um die erste Achse (17) derart verschwenken kann, daß der erste Umlenkstift (5) sich dem Anschlag (20) nähert.
