Description

The invention relates to a counter according to the preamble of claim 1.

In order to guarantee comprehensive customer advice, bank counters must also increasingly be equipped with computers or computer terminals. If these devices are simply placed on the existing work surface of the bank counter, they take up part of the available usable space. The cabling of the devices also creates considerable difficulties both at the counter workstation and in the supply area.

From DE-A-3 603 465 a counter is known, with an operator-side work surface for sitting and standing operation and with a raised in comparison to the work surface, a storage structure open to the operator side and closed to the customer side by a boundary wall and with an in Area of the storage space arranged, adjustable intermediate floor for receiving a monitor. The height and inclination of the intermediate floor can be adjusted in relation to the work surface. The actual work surface is provided next to the footprint for the monitor. A closed cable duct is attached to the inside of a customer's vertical wall. A counter is known from EP-A-0 248 100 in which an intermediate floor can be raised at least in partial areas over the height of the working surface. This counter is intended for currency traders and is therefore completely open on its side facing away from the user. Means for cable routing are not provided.

In the workplace table known from EP-A-0 226 862, the monitor is arranged in a fixed position in a structure which is closed by the user. The cable ducts below the worktop and below the structure are difficult to access. Invisible laying of the cables is not possible.

In the counter known from US-A-4 712 842, a storage space for receiving screen devices is closed at the back with a flap. The display units can be set up on a fixed intermediate plate in the storage space at a fixed height and at a fixed angle of inclination. On the underside of the fixed intermediate floor there is a cable duct that is completely closed except for an insertion slot. Here too, the cable laying is uncomfortable, since the volume of the cable duct is limited and cannot be viewed freely. The position of the cable duct is also dependent on the position of the fixed intermediate platform, only display devices of a predetermined maximum height can be used and an ergonomically favorable orientation of the display device to the viewer is ruled out.

The invention has for its object to provide a counter of the type mentioned, which is more suitable for the accommodation and cabling of screen devices largely any equipment in an ergonomically favorable arrangement and orientation.

To achieve this object, the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1 are proposed.

The invention is based on the idea that an adjustable intermediate floor is arranged in the area of the storage space within the counter structure, to give the possibility to be able to set up screen devices of any type and size in an optimal arrangement and orientation, without thereby noticeably reducing the usable area available to the operator and the customer, or having to accept unfavorable working heights. On the other hand, the duct space creates a sufficiently large and easily accessible space for the cabling.

Since the loading of the storage space with the display devices and their cabling from the operator side can lead to difficulties, it is particularly advantageous in the case of counters with a lowerable intermediate floor in the storage space that the storage space and / or the channel space by opening the customer-side boundary wall from the customer side is accessible from here.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the height of the intermediate floor can be adjusted, preferably lowered below the height of the work surface, so that relatively high display devices can also be set up.

Furthermore, the inclination of the intermediate floor relative to the work surface can be adjusted, in particular lowered and / or raised to the rear, so that, depending on the type of screen on the one hand and the operator's height on the other hand, optimum readability is ensured. The adjustment can be carried out either by hand with a suitable locking mechanism or by means of a remote-controlled electric motor.

In order to be able to record a screen, the intermediate floor only has to extend over a part of the storage space width, while the rest of the storage space area has an unadjustable, preferably flush with the work surface Floor and / or a plurality of form compartments can be equipped.

Particularly in terms of design, it is advantageous if the storage space is delimited downwards by a base area that is lowered relative to the work surface, preferably inclined from the operator to the customer side, and extends over the entire width of the storage space.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the lateral support supports or cheeks of the counter are connected to one another by at least one continuous cross member that supports the upper cover plate of the counter construction. According to a further particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, a separate box-like intermediate floor insert is provided which can be releasably inserted into the storage space from the customer side when the boundary wall is open and which contains both the intermediate floor and its adjustment mechanism. The intermediate floor insert is advantageously narrower than the storage space width and preferably takes up a third to half of the storage space width. The storage space 16 is designed in terms of its shape and size such that it is suitable for receiving a preferably box-shaped intermediate floor insert 34 with an adjustable intermediate floor 36 and a screen 38 of a computer or a computer terminal set up on the intermediate floor 36. As indicated in dash-dotted lines in FIG. 2, the storage space 16 can be enlarged by displacing or obliquely opening the folding walls 24, 26.

When the customer's boundary wall 24, 26 or 24 'is open, the intermediate floor insert 34, which can be inserted into the storage space 16 from the customer side, lies with its lower surface or lower edge 40 on the base surface 18 or the floor 18' of the storage space. Pins protruding from the operator-side intermediate floor edge engage in the first grid arrangement, while the latching into the second grid arrangement 46 takes place by means of latching cams 49 arranged on pivoting levers 48, which are automatically held in their latching position in the interdental spaces by tension springs 50 acting on the pivoting levers 48. In this way, both a height adjustment parallel to the work surface and an inclination adjustment of the intermediate floor 36 with respect to the work surface 10 are possible upwards and downwards. As a result, depending on the type and size of the screen 38 and the height of the operator, the intermediate floor 36 can be adjusted so that optimum readability is ensured.

The wiring of the VDU workstation can be done from the customer side when the folding walls 24, 26 and 24 'are open.
