It is possible to fit a horizontal cable channel (40) with a hinged cover (44) at the back of one of the bearers which is accessible only when the desk top is pulled forward and has a set of brushes (46) for taking cables out between the edge of the closed hinged cover (44) and the rear edge of the cable channel (40).

Description

The invention relates to a kit for producing an office work table, with the features mentioned in the preamble of claim 1. A kit of this type is known from FR-A-2 490 941.

According to the above-mentioned document, different types of connecting pieces are required for differently designed office work tables. According to the present invention, however, the same connectors should be used in many ways. On the one hand, they should serve to connect supporting beams with vertical supports. The same connectors should also be used to attach support arms that support the table tops. This should enable the table tops to be set at different heights. Furthermore, the same connecting pieces are intended to be able to accommodate structures which protrude upward above the table top, in different ways as well: on the one hand through the engagement of support arms which support the structures; on the other hand, cover plates of the connecting pieces should be able to be used to support other structures.

All of this is achieved by the invention according to claim 1.

A channel running transversely to the longitudinal direction of the associated supporting beam is formed by two side walls of the lower part of the connecting pieces and is open at the bottom. This channel can optionally be used to receive the upper end of a support and thus establish the connection between the support and the support beam. On the other hand, the channel can receive the end section of a support arm for other parts at other connecting pieces of the same type.

With the kit according to the invention, tables of various sizes and shapes can be produced. The tables can be combined with one another by means known per se, in a straight continuation or at angles.

A kit for producing an office work table is also known from DE-A-8 619 968. According to this, two supporting beams are used for a table top. Corresponding wing-shaped support arms, which are to be fastened to these support beams, keep their mutual distance and carry the table top. However, these support arms have no other meaning, they are not used to receive the upper ends of the supports and also not to receive support arms for additional parts and / or structures. In contrast to the present invention, connecting pieces are therefore not provided, the lower parts of which can be used in many ways.

Weiterbildungen der ErfindungDevelopments of the invention

The profile tube forming the supporting beam preferably has a rectangular cross section. The result is a profiled tube which, on the one hand, has no protruding ribs and the like, thus looks better, but on the other hand has the necessary rigidity against twisting and can secure the parts to be attached against twisting.

A connecting piece, which is located outside a table top, for example above a support, can in turn be used to support structures, for example a swivel arm for a shell or the like.

A horizontal cable duct can be provided, which is arranged on the back of a supporting beam and has a gutter as the main part, which can be closed by a hinged cover, but not entirely, so that a gap remains, which is closed by a series of bristles. Cables can be led outside through the bristles from the cable duct.

The cable duct can be attached to the back of the lower parts of the connecting pieces.

The table tops can be slidably arranged from the front to the rear in such a way that when the table top is pulled forward the flap of the cable duct can be opened and that on the other hand the table top can be pushed over the closed hinged cover, but the row of bristles remains accessible. Telescopic rails can be provided for low-friction movement of the table top.

By means of stop angles which are attached to the underside of the table top, on the one hand the backward movement of the table top can be limited so that the row of bristles remains accessible, and on the other hand prevent the table top from tipping forward under a load.

An embodiment of the invention is described with reference to a work table with a rectangular table top 2, the table top having a width which, according to FIG. 11, is somewhat smaller than the length of an associated support beam 4.

Support beams can be placed at angles, and accordingly table tops other than rectangular can be used, polygonal shape, trapezoidal shape and other things which are known per se and are therefore not described here.

Figures 1, 3, 4 and B show the table top 2, the associated support beam 4 in the form of a tube of rectangular cross-section, and supports 6, also in the form of rectangular tubes and foot brackets 8 attached below. The support beam 4 is with the supports 6 firmly connected by a connector 10 each. The connecting piece, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, has a lower part 12. The lower part has a recess 14, here rectangular, which is open at the top and is adapted to the cross-sectional shape of the supporting beam, into which a supporting beam 4 just fits with play. The lower part can be covered by a flat rectangular cover plate 16 which can be screwed to the lower part 12, for which purpose threaded holes 18 are provided. Instead of the cover plate 16, the rear end of a support beam 20 can be screwed to the lower part, as shown in FIG. 7. The support beam 20 in turn receives the table top. Leave to change the height of the table top insert flat spacer plates 56 of different heights between the rear end of the support beam 20 and the lower part 12, as shown in FIG.

Die Tragbalken lassen sich durch Abdeckscheiben 50 verschließen.The supporting beams can be closed by cover disks 50.

The lower part 12 has two side cheeks 22 which project downward and run parallel to one another and, in the view according to FIG. 5, have the shape of flat triangles. Between them there is a channel 24 which is open at the bottom and has two functions. As shown in Figures 1 to 4, this channel can receive the upper end of a support 6 or, as shown in Figures 3, 4 and 7, the end portion of a support arm 26, which serves to support structures.

With supports 6, the lower part 12 is fastened by screws screwed in from above, with a support arm 26 by screws screwed in from below, for which purpose the appropriate threaded bores 18 and others are provided in the lower part.

As shown in FIG. 3 on the right, an extension arm 28 can be attached to the support arm 26, which carries a rear additional plate 30. This can be at the same height as the table top 2. In addition, the support arms 26 can carry a board 32 (Figure 2) as part of a rear structure. Further additional elements, for example a flat storage tray 34, can be attached to the board.

As shown in Figure 11, the support beam 4 can protrude from the left end of the table top 2, so that there remains space for attaching additional elements. The upper end of the left support 6 engages in the channel 24 (FIG. 6) of the lower part 12 of an intermediate element and is secured against tilting by the two side cheeks 22. The cover plate 16 here carries a short column 36 on which the rear end of a swivel arm 38 is rotatably mounted. At its right end, not shown here, the swivel arm can carry a shell for receiving a telephone, monitor or the like.

The work table can be equipped with cable ducts, but this is only one possible variant. Figures 1, 2, 3 and 8 to 10 show a rear, horizontal cable duct 40, which is formed from a groove 42 and a hinged lid 44 hinged to the front edge of the groove. The trough has a substantially rectangular cross section, but its rear underside is slightly bevelled, namely to match the shape of the support arms 26. The trough 42 of the horizontal cable duct is screwed from behind to the lower parts 12 of the connecting pieces (FIGS. 9 and 10). At its rear edge, the channel has a series of bristles 46. At its ends, it can be covered by end caps 48.

The hinged lid 44 can be opened against the rear edge of the table top 2, as shown in FIG. 9. The table top is then in a front position. The hinged lid can be folded down into a horizontal position, in which case only the row of bristles 46 remains accessible from above. These bristles allow cables 52 to be led outside. The table top can be brought into a rearward position in which it covers the cable duct up to the row of bristles, as shown in FIG. 3. The table top is mounted on telescopic rails 54 so that it can be moved from front to back. The telescopic rails 54 are located between the table top and support arms 20 (FIG. 12) (DRAWER!). Figure 12 also shows that the table top 2 is arranged relatively high above the support beam 4, which has been done by spacer plates 56 (DRAWER!), Which are inserted between the upper end of the lower part 12 of a connecting piece and the rear end of a support beam 20.

Stop brackets 58 are attached to the bottom of the table top, of which FIG. 12 shows the left one. In the rear end position of the table top 2 shown there, the vertical arm of the stop bracket 58 strikes the support beam 4 and thus limits the backward displacement of the table top. A lower horizontal section 60 engages under the stop angle the support beam 4 and thereby secures the table top 2 against the fact that its front side tilts down when it is loaded in the front by heavy equipment or a person sitting on it.

Known vertical cable ducts 62 can be provided which have a central wall 64 and cover shells 66 which can be snapped on both sides, of which the outer one is removed according to FIG. 10 and placed next to the support 6.
