Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for cleaning and filling containers, in particular of barrels such as kegs, with the barrel fitting pointing downward, with a plurality of treatment stations located one behind the other and with an adjoining filling station, with connection head arrangements in the individual stations and connected valve-controlled feed and discharge lines for the treatment and filling media, with counter-holding means for holding the barrels at the connection head arrangements and with a common transport device for the gradual transfer of the individual barrels from station to station.
  • barrels such as kegs
  • a barrel cleaning and filling system for cylindrical barrels such as kegs is known, in which the barrels are cleaned, sterilized and isobarometrically filled with beer in successive treatment stations.
  • the barrel to be cleaned and filled, with the screwed barrel fitting pointing downwards, is gradually moved by means of a swinging arm continued from station to station using supporting beams.
  • the barrel is coupled to the spring-mounted connection head arrangement by pressure elements acting on the barrel from above, as a result of which automatically closing valves for through-openings are actuated.
  • the drums pass through the treatment stations one after the other, starting with cleaning stations, in which the drum is charged with cleaning liquid and then with warm water. There follows a steaming station, in which the drum is sterilized, and then a treatment station, in which the drum CO2 is supplied with the back pressure required for the isobarometric filling process. At the subsequent last station, the barrel is filled with beer.
  • the performance is known to be determined by the filling station, which only provides half the throughput of barrels compared to the upstream stations, since the fixed fitting cross sections do not permit faster filling .
  • DE-OS 1 557 580 it is further provided in DE-OS 1 557 580 to arrange individual treatment stations several times and to connect the filling elements in the form of a circular filler, furthermore several filling elements can be connected in a line arrangement to the drum cleaning machine and the drums via transport devices be fed to the individual filling stations.
  • these two designs require a multiple construction effort and a considerable amount of space to increase performance.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a device for cleaning and filling containers, in particular of barrels such as kegs, with a downward-facing barrel fitting, of the generic type with which a doubling of the filling performance compared to conventional line machines can be achieved with approximately the same space requirement , relatively little additional technical effort and gentle beer handling.
  • the object is achieved according to the invention in that two alternate in time with the gradual transport of the barrels from a common position lying in the line of alignment of the treatment stations, in which a filled barrel is dispensed and then an empty barrel is taken into a left one and right side position and back movable filling stations are provided and that the media feed and discharge are controlled in time with the movement of the filling stations so that the barrels after being taken over by a filling station and coupled to a connection head arrangement during the movement from the takeover position be filled in the side position and back, preferably starting immediately after coupling the drum to the connection head arrangement, and there is no interruption of the filling flow.
  • An advantageous embodiment is that the media feed and discharge are controlled in time with the movement of the filling stations so that the barrels are filled one after the other during the movement in the side position.
  • the invention has the advantage that the performance of the device is doubled compared to a conventional line machine. As a result of the constant use of the filling head arrangements, there is no interruption in the filling flow, so a continuous flow in the lines can be maintained with the result of the best possible pressure adjustment and gentle beer treatment.
  • the device shown is intended for cylindrical containers 1 such as kegs with a barrel fitting remaining in the barrel bottom with a riser pipe projecting into the barrel and automatically closing valves for through-openings, the barrel being connected to media supply and discharge lines via the barrel fitting.

Description

    • Fig. 1 eine Ausführungsform der Vorrichtung in einer schematischen Seitenansicht;
    • Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht der Vorrichtung gemäß Fig. 1 unter Fortlassung der oben liegenden Gegenhaltemittel.
