Abstract

The present invention relates to a door of the type comprising a frame (110) made from wood or the like, two panels (120, 122) fixed on either side of the frame, and an armouring metal sheet (130) embedded at the periphery in the inner faces of the frame. According to the invention, the door furthermore comprises reinforcing means consisting of profiled metal elements (150, 160) fixed to the frame and each comprising two essentially parallel and spaced flanges (150c, 150d; 160a, 160b) straddling the edges of the sheet (130) at least over a substantial part of its periphery. <IMAGE>
