Abstract

The invention relates to a device for camouflaging military targets, in which a basic material consisting of a fabric, a foil or the like, is interrupted by incisions. The incisions (1) extend along mutually parallel wavy lines, incision (1) of each wavy line being interrupted at every second wave crest by a web (4), the interruptions of each wavy line being offset laterally by the amount of one wave crest in relation to the interruptions of each adjacent parallel wavy line. This cutting pattern leads to a considerably improved erection of the camouflaging device under tensile load and to an increase of the spring elasticity. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a camouflage means for camouflaging military targets according to the preamble of claim 1.

In the production of camouflage agents, the base material present as a fabric, film or the like is usually provided with incisions according to a certain pattern, so that the tensile forces act transversely or obliquely to the incisions to form a three-dimensional structure in the manner of a three-dimensional foliage sets up. Such a cutting pattern is known from DE-PS 1 088 843.

Although this cut enables the camouflage means to be set up three-dimensionally, the set-up effect does not after a long period of use, ie the elasticity decreases, so that an optimal camouflage effect is no longer guaranteed.

The object of the invention is to improve a generic camouflage net so that its elasticity is increased and is retained even after prolonged use.

This object is achieved by the features mentioned in the characterizing part of claim 1. Appropriate developments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

The cutting pattern according to the invention leads to a considerably improved installation of the camouflage under tensile load. Even with a little stretch, the slats of the camouflage material form an irregular three-dimensional structure like a foliage. Larger tensile forces, such as can occur at any time in everyday military life when camouflage means are laid out, are readily absorbed by the camouflage means according to the invention, the slats of the camouflage means only increasing more strongly when stretched. The high elasticity of the camouflage agent is retained even after long use.

The webs between the slats are set up according to claim 2 randomly in different directions or kink in the middle. As a result, the surface of the camouflage means that is placed under tensile load is even more irregular trained, whereby the impression of an artificial surface is reduced and the camouflage effect is further improved.

In addition to an optically camouflaging coating, the camouflage agent can expediently also have other coatings which have camouflaging properties in particular in the radar range and, if appropriate, in the UV range and in the near and far infrared range. In an advantageous development, one or more of the coatings of the base material has a higher hardness than is normally the case when coating camouflage agents. For example, a larger amount of hardener can be added to a coating based on a polyacrylic lacquer, which improves the erection of the slats when the camouflage agent is pulled apart and the elasticity of the jump is further increased.

The invention is explained below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawings. Show it :
  • FIG. 1 shows a top view of the camouflage agent in the untensioned state,
  • FIG. 2 shows a longitudinal section through the camouflage means according to FIG. 1,
  • FIG. 3 shows a top view of the camouflage means when tensile forces act in the direction of the arrow (section A according to FIG. 1),
  • Figure 4 is a perspective view of the camouflage when subjected to tensile forces in the direction of the arrow (section A according to Figure 1) and
  • 5 shows a longitudinal section along the line BB through the camouflage means according to FIG. 1 under the action of tensile forces transverse to the wavy lines (2).

The camouflage consists of a polyamide fabric with plain weave L1 / 1. This is the simplest weave of a fabric in which there is a thread in the longitudinal direction, i.e. in the warp, and in the transverse direction, i.e. in the weft. An electrically conductive coating containing metal pigments is applied to the base material. This ensures the camouflage effect of the camouflage agent even when using radar devices. A second coating is applied to this first coating on the basis of a polyacrylic lacquer, which contains active additives in the infrared range and which is colored accordingly in order to achieve the desired optical camouflage effect. A relatively large amount of hardener is added to the polyacrylic lacquer, so that the coated fabric has high rigidity.

According to FIG. 1, the coated fabric is provided with incisions 1 which run along mutually parallel wavy lines 2, the incision 1 of each wavy line 2 being interrupted by a web 4 at every second wave crest and the interruptions of each wavy line compared to the interruptions of each adjacent one parallel wave line laterally offset by a wave crest are. In order to identify complete wave trains 2, the incisions 1 of the wave trains are connected to one another by points in FIG. The cutting pattern according to the invention, in conjunction with the high rigidity of the coated material, leads to a particularly good positioning of the slats of the camouflage agent and to a high level of resilience which is retained even after years of use.

The irregular erection of the slats under tensile load can be seen particularly clearly in FIG. 4. Under tensile load, the webs 4 between two wave crests lying one behind the other in the loading direction partly as flat surfaces 4 ', 4 ‴, which protrude partly at an acute angle, partly at an obtuse angle against the loading direction. In some cases, the webs 4 also set up as surfaces 4˝ which are bent in the middle between two wave crests. This different, accidental placement of the webs 4 increases the irregularity of the three-dimensional structure in the manner of a foliage, whereby the camouflage effect is still considerably improved.

Das Tarnmittel kann an seiner Ober- bzw. Unterseite unterschiedlich eingefärbt sein (Sommerseite bzw. Winterseite). The camouflage agent can be colored differently on its top or bottom (summer side or winter side). Depending on the season, either the summer side or the winter side is camouflaged. In addition, Velcro fasteners 3, 3 'can be attached to the outer edge of the camouflage, whereby the camouflage can be particularly quickly and easily attached to tubular objects such as gun barrels or masts.
