Description

The invention relates to a method for filling and emptying a container assembly for the transport and storage of liquid or powdery filling material, with a supporting outer container made of thermoplastic material and an inner container designed as a film bubble, which is adapted to the interior of the outer container. - In general, such container assemblies are very large, z. B. with a capacity of 1000 l and more. The film bubble makes it easy to use the outer container multiple times. It is also arranged for disposal reasons. The load-bearing outer container can be used several times if after each use the film bubble to be disposed of, which may contain remnants of environmentally harmful liquids, is removed and disposed of in accordance with regulations. In such a case, it is not necessary to laboriously clean or decontaminate the interior of the outer container. It is understood that precautions must be taken to ensure that the film bubble does not become leaky after it has taken up the liquid or powdered filling material.

In the known method, from which the invention is based in the preamble of the patent claim and which the person skilled in the art takes from DE-U-88 07 118, the film bubble is attached to the opening of the container lid both during filling and during transport or storage of the container assembly. When the container unit is subjected to stress during transport and storage, there is a risk that the film bubble will tear off the container lid opening and its contents will be emptied into the interior of the barrel. In addition, in the known method, a sealing plug designed as an outlet valve is inserted into a tubular extension of the film bubble and, in the exemplary embodiment, fastened to an outlet pipe socket of the outer container using complex clamping means and sealing means. This attachment is not only relatively complex, but also leaves something to be desired in terms of the tightness of the container assembly, since in particular the clamping means can wear out relatively easily. In another method, which is known from US-A-4,586,628, no attachments of the film bubble are provided on the container ceiling of the outer container. In this method, the film bubble is filled from the underside of the container assembly. The liquid must be pumped in against the action of gravity. It is expensive. An upper filling opening of the film bubble is not provided. For the rest, no information is given on how a fitting or a valve is to be attached to the outlet pipe socket on the underside of the container assembly. A container assembly is known from DE-A-22 55 299, at which the outer container is a barrel and in which the inner container is referred to as a pouch and is connected to the bung in the barrel lid. Here too there is a risk that the insert bag will tear off the bung opening and its contents will be emptied into the interior of the barrel. In a container of another type known from DE-B-12 78 335, namely a folding container with a passage opening for the outlet nozzle of an inner bag, the inner bag has an outlet nozzle which is arranged in the upper region of the folding container and passes through the opening there. It can be clamped there and consequently also tear off.

In contrast, the invention has for its object to provide a method of the type described above, which enables easy filling and emptying and at the same time ensures that both when filling and emptying the container assembly and the stresses that usually occur during transport or storage an uncontrolled Emptying the inner container into the outer container is practically no longer possible and that the inner container remains sufficiently tight.

This object is achieved by the method according to the patent claim.

The container assembly shown in the figures is intended for the transport and storage of liquid or powdery contents. The basic structure includes a load-bearing outer container 1 made of thermoplastic material and an inner container designed as a film bubble 2. The inner container is adapted to the interior of the outer container. The outer container 1 has in its container shell 3 in the area of the bottom 4 an outlet pipe socket 5 with an external thread 6 for a lid 7 or for the connection of fittings. In its container lid 8, the outer container 1 has a container lid opening 9 with a large diameter compared to the outlet pipe socket 5 of the container jacket 3, which has a collar and can be closed. The film bubble 2 can be filled with the filling material and is supported on the outer container 1 in the filled state. It therefore rests under the influence of gravity, which acts on the filling material, on the bottom 4 of the outer container 1 and lies on the inside of the container edge 3 of the outer container 1.

The film bubble 2 has a hose connector 10 which can be fixed on the outer edge of the outlet pipe connector 5 and can be closed by a valve 11 screwed onto the outlet pipe connector 5 and opened for the purpose of emptying. From FIG. 2 it can be seen that the film bubble 2, which is completely or partially filled with the filling material, is arranged with its top side free of the container lid opening 9 in the outer container 1.

The film bubble 2 has an upper filling opening 14, which can be connected to the container lid opening 9 for the purpose of filling and then closed and removed from the container lid opening 9. - It goes without saying that for the introduction of the film bubble 2 in the outer container 1 can be worked with suitable auxiliary devices, which have not been shown.
