Abstract

In the ski boot, which is adjustable in size, the length and/or width can be adjusted. The shell of the boot is divided up into at least two parts, preferably into four parts (1,2,3,4). The multi-part shell is individually adjustable at the front and at the rear and has mainly a support function. The insulation and sealing against moisture is carried out by a special extensible inner boot which is adapted to the size of the foot at the same time as the adjustment of the shell. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a size-adjustable ski boot, which can be adjusted in length and width.

The well-known ski boots have to be provided in different sizes so that every skier can find the right shoe number. This means that a number of different tools are required in the manufacture and that the retailer has to keep a relatively large stock in order to meet the customers' demand. In many cases, the skier has to choose the shoe model or brand based on the shape of the foot and may be very limited in his choice. From US-A-4 083 128 an adjustable ski shoe is known, which is built on a sole platform, the front part of the shoe telescopically engaging in the rear part and being adjustable according to the foot size. In a special embodiment, the width of the front part can also be adjusted. The length of this shoe can be adjusted precisely, but the shaft and in particular the heel part of the shoe are not adjustable. A precise adjustment of the shoe on the shaft, especially on the heel, is therefore not possible. The shoe also requires a complex seal so that no water penetrates into the inside of the shoe. The present invention is intended to remedy this problem by providing a ski boot which is adjustable in length and width and can therefore be precisely adapted to a wide variety of foot sizes and shapes.

The present invention accordingly relates to the objects defined in the claims.

The ski boots according to the invention are shell ski boots which are intended to cover the requirements of the all-round skier as well as the racer.

The ski boot according to the invention has a shell which is divided into four parts in the longitudinal and transverse directions to the longitudinal axis of the shoe. The adjoining boundary lines of these four shell parts are generally designed so that they are displaced with respect to one another overlap in a certain adjustment range. The abutting or overlapping surfaces are designed so that the ingress of snow and water is largely prevented. If the sole is integrated into the shell parts, there may be a gap between the front part of the sole and the heel, which is wider or narrower depending on the length setting. In this case, however, the overlying parts of the shell of the ski boot must be connected to one another in a sufficiently stable manner. Adjustment means, such as set screws or guide elements in guide channels, are used to connect and adjust the shell or sole parts, by means of which the distance between the individual parts can be precisely determined and fixed.

In the longitudinally adjustable embodiment, the shell consists of a front part and a heel part, preferably overlapping. The overlap point can be designed such that it contains a seal that prevents water from penetrating. Furthermore, the two shell parts in the width-adjustable embodiment can be designed so that they contain a seal that prevents water from penetrating. Furthermore, the two shell parts in the width-adjustable embodiment can be designed such that they can be deformed in the adjustable area. The deformability can be brought about by an overlap point, by folding, by a bellows-like configuration or by a variable intermediate space.

Since the position of the joint between the shell and the shaft should also be adapted in the case of a size-adjustable ski boot, the ski boot according to the invention preferably has a height-adjustable joint. When customizing the The size of the ski boot has to be adjusted according to the anatomical requirements. Once the height has been correctly adjusted, this joint no longer needs to be adjusted by the skier. As a result, such a shoe can be brought onto the market in which the joint is only mounted in the correct place when it is adapted. The shoe is factory-prepared so that the joint can be easily installed in various convenient positions.

The ski boot according to the invention also has a special inner boot which enables the boot to be adapted to a specific foot size. The liner is preferably made of a stretchable and waterproof material. It is fixed at the tip of the foot, at the heel and at the edge of the shoe on the shell or on the shaft. This can e.g. by snapping a suitable plastic part of the liner into an opening on the shell. When adjusting the length, the liner is stretched, avoiding pressure on the toes. The width of the liner must be chosen so that the pressure on the foot is acceptable in the possible size ranges.

Durch diese Anordnung kann ebenfalls eine individuelle Verstellung der Vorder- und Hinterhälfte vorgenommen werden.2 shows a further embodiment of a ski boot according to the invention. On the one hand, this ski boot has a two-part sole with the front part 21 and the heel part 22. The two sole halves are connected to one another by the guide rods 23. The set screws 24, which can be arranged either in the heel half or in the front half, are used to determine the sole length. On the upper side of the sole there are fastening holes 25, which are preferably provided with internal threads. Next are in the two Half of the sole, the guide grooves 26 and 27 are present. They serve to accommodate the set screws 30, 31 on the shell, including the corresponding fastening means 32, 33 provided with opposite internal threads Guide grooves 34 and 35 serve. The mentioned guide means 28 and 29 and the matching guide grooves 34 and 35 in the adjusting means 30 and 31 also serve to center the shell with respect to the shoe sole. This arrangement also allows the front and rear halves to be individually adjusted.

The shell mainly consists of four parts 36 - 39. The mutual displacement of these shell parts can be used for correct length or side adjustment. These shell parts are fastened to the sole by means of screws or rivets through the elongated holes 40, 41, 42, 43 and the corresponding bores 25. This attachment should be just enough that the shell parts can still be moved in the width direction with respect to the sole. The width of the ski boot is adjusted by means of the set screws 30 and 31 already mentioned, and by the additional set screws 44 and 45. At the end, the cover plates 46 can be screwed onto both sides of the shell, for example by means of screws through the elongated holes 47. Alternatively, the side cover plates can can also be attached with special plastic pins with barbs.

Since a waterproof and elastic inner shoe is provided for the special embodiment of the ski boot according to the invention, the shell does not need to be used specifically To be sealed wet. For fastening the inner shoe, opening 48 is provided on the shell in the toe area and opening 49 in the heel area. Special plastic end pieces are provided for the inner shoe, which can be received through openings 48 and 49. The inner shoe is additionally fixed by the edge of the shaft. The shaft is fastened to the shell by a joint which is anchored in the openings 50. An adjustable or a fixed joint can be used for this. An adjustable joint is preferred to adapt to special foot shapes. The shaft, not shown in FIG. 2, can be adjustable in height so that the shoe can be completely adapted to the size of the user. The ski boot also has fastening devices for attaching a flap. This closure flap is preferably attached to the shaft and the shell at the same time. This closure flap, not shown, is preferably designed in such a way that it can be perfectly adapted to the user's foot. This can be achieved, for example, by means of a double-walled flap, the distance between the two walls being individually adjustable.

The principle shown in Fig. 2 can of course also be applied to ski boots whose shell parts are mutually sealed. A thin shell material is preferably used for this. For example, plastic shells or shell parts made of light metal, for example made of a plastic-coated aluminum alloy.

A special inner boot is required for the ski boot according to the invention, which is stretchable and which none uncomfortable pressure on the foot. Such an inner shoe can be made from a textile, elastic material. The material is preferably made up of multiple layers, the outer layers consisting of knitted or knitted fabric and interposed between them a cotton-like, insulating material, such as cotton, polyester or the like. The material is preferably quilted. The liner made from this material is at least partially coated with a waterproof material. It is preferably coated only up to the ankle. There are plastic flaps on the toe part and on the heel part, which can be accommodated in the openings 48 and 49 of the shell and remain in the same position even during the adjustment. In addition, the liner is attached to the upper edge of the adjustable shaft. In addition, the liner in the upper part of the upper has padding which is customary in the field. The inner boot preferably has no flap, since the closure flap of the ski boot has the necessary, adjustable padding.

Fig. 3 zeigt die Seitenansicht, Fig. 4 eine Ansicht von hinten und Fig. 5 eine perspektivische Darstellung.3 to 5 show a further embodiment of a ski boot according to the invention. 3 shows the side view, FIG. 4 shows a view from the rear and FIG. 5 shows a perspective illustration.

The ski boot has four sole blocks, namely the rear sole blocks 101 and the front sole blocks 102, on which the four shell pieces 103, 104, 105 and 106 are arranged. The front and rear parts of the shell pieces are connected by the shell intermediate pieces 107 and 108, which are connected to the shell pieces by adjustable fastening means. The shaft 109 is by means of the hinge 110 is pivotally connected to the shell. As a special feature, it should be noted that the shaft is extended laterally towards the front. The well-padded tongue 111, which is pressed against the foot by the tongue bracket 112, is located in the entry opening. The tongue bracket is connected to the shell so that it can be tilted forward through the bore 113. Several adjustment and fastening strips for the tongue are arranged in the transverse direction on this fastening bracket. These strips 114 are preferably provided with a Velcro fastener made of a nylon material. This makes it possible for the tongue bracket, together with these adjustment and fastening strips, to exert pressure on the tongue 111. By tightening the strips 114, the pressure on the foot, in particular on the instep area, can be increased. The mounting bracket has a cam 115 on which the locking lever can engage. The ski boot has at least one locking lever 116 which can engage in the cam 115 of the tongue bracket by a partial rotary movement. The locking lever is fastened by the fastening screw 117, which also serves as the axis of rotation for the locking.

The adjusting lever 118 is additionally attached to the locking lever 116 at its rear end. This lever is fastened by means of the hinge 119, the adjusting lever being able to engage in different positions when the lever is turned. In this way, two positions in particular are possible, namely a right-angled and an extended one. In the extended position, this adjustment lever has no further influence on the shoe. If this lever is folded over at right angles with respect to the locking lever 116 in the direction of the heel part of the shoe, this lever 118 engages in a device for blocking the upper in the template. This device consists of the housing 120 for the adjusting device, in which a mandrel and a helical spring are arranged in such a way that when the adjusting lever 118 is folded in, movement of the shaft with respect to the shell towards the rear is no longer possible. In this way, the adjusting lever 118 is located between the mandrel and the counter bearing 121, which has an adjusting screw 122, which, in conjunction with the adjusting lever, enables the shaft to be fixed precisely. The arrangement described enables the skier to easily unlock the shaft while driving or standing in line at a ski lift. This unlocked position also makes it easier to walk with the ski boot, while there is only limited movement in the driving position. In particular, no rearward movement is possible.

The shaft also has the bent tabs 123 for hanging the tongue bracket 112. These tabs are on both sides of the shaft next to the tongue. Spreading the tongue bracket allows it to be hung in these curved tabs. In addition, the tongue clip in combination with the bent tabs 123 results in an additional pressure being exerted on the tab 111 when the original pressure is applied, by pressing the tongue clip downward through the foremost part of the shaft. In this way, the foot gets a particularly firm fit at the moment when pressure is exerted on the ski. This enables exceptionally precise ski guidance at the right moment. The adjusting screws 124 for adjusting the width of the shoe can also be seen. The coupling surfaces 125 on the front on the sole blocks 102 and those on the rear sole blocks 101 Coupling surfaces 126 can be seen. These surfaces can be used directly for the engagement of a binding or they can be provided with coupling pieces which allow the shoe to be used in a standardized binding.

The reference numerals correspond to the parts already discussed in connection with FIG. 3. The engagement of the adjusting lever 118 between the two parts 120 and 121, which serve to block the shaft with respect to the shell, is clearly evident in FIG. 4. In the setting shown, the shaft is blocked, while in the unfolded position the shaft can be tilted slightly, so that on the one hand a relaxed driving style and on the other hand easier walking is possible.

Je nach Beschaffenheit und Dicke der Zunge kann der Schuh den Bedürfnissen des Skifahrers angepasst werden.5, which is a perspective illustration, shows in particular the arrangement of the tongue bracket 112 and its engagement in the bent tabs 123. The tongue 111 (not shown) is arranged under the bands 114. Depending on the shape and size of the shoe, the Velcro straps 114 can be tightened more or less. It can also be understood from this illustration that when the shaft is tilted, the tongue bracket is pressed down in the vicinity of its front fastening, which causes a pressure on the foremost fastening band 114, which transfers this pressure to the tongue. As in the previously described embodiments, sealing the outer shoe is not necessary, since an adaptable and waterproof inner shoe is provided for the shoe. It is expressly pointed out that additional adjustment and fastening strips for the tongue are arranged on the tongue bracket 112 can be. Depending on the nature and thickness of the tongue, the shoe can be adapted to the needs of the skier.
