Definitions
- the invention relates to a lamp for liquid fuel, which consists of a liquid container into which a wick is suspended from an overhead wick opening, the liquid container being made of plastic and a metal holder with a nozzle for receiving the wick opening on the upper part of the wick for fixing the wick Liquid container is placed, and on the collar of the metal holder the tapered nozzle is arranged, the interior of which is a longitudinal tube tapering from the bottom up and at the connection point to the metal holder on the upper part of the liquid container a guide groove is narrowly formed, which seals with the collar of the metal holder and is permanently pressed.
- US Pat. No. 4,464,109 shows a multi-part oil lamp which has a complicated bulge formation in the liquid container.
- This bead must be manufactured with precise tolerances, which on the one hand results in high tool costs and on the other hand also requires high quality control.
- the slot must also be milled. Wrapping the bead with the band-shaped seal requires precise positioning. If this seal slips, the entire lamp is thrown away because it is no longer possible to repair it. Such a risky and expensive production or manufacturing is actually not conceivable for mass articles.
- DE-GM 84 26 3422 Another lamp is described in DE-GM 84 26 342. These lights are used to replace candles because they burn longer and there is no risk of contamination from dripping wax.
- the container is manufactured as a metal cartridge using the extrusion or deep-drawing process.
- the wick is held in the opening by bent tips of the container. Since this opening is very small, the container must first be filled from below when the luminaire is manufactured and then the bottom must be inserted. Care must be taken when punching the opening and inserting the wick not to spill the fuel.
- the metal cartridge in particular is complex and expensive to produce.
- the US 4,025,290 shows a lamp, the container is closed by a multi-part cap. First, a tube-like burner is placed, through which a wick is threaded and fastened by an attached wick holder. An additional operation is therefore necessary in order to insert the wick and mount it with the holder after the burner has been installed on the liquid container.
- the invention has for its object to facilitate the manufacture and assembly of the lamp, and to prevent contamination of the wick and / or leakage of the fuel during transport or when not in use.
- the inventive design of the metal bracket has a serious advantage. An excellent cooling effect is guaranteed by the direct arrangement of the nozzle on the collar. The wide collar training contributes to this. Furthermore, there is no risk of contamination or easy cleaning.
- a screw-on cover sleeve that closes off the upper burner opening is provided.
- the conical nozzle shape or one Conical shape of the cover sleeve ensures a particularly good seal when reclosing.
- a metal cover sleeve can also be used to dampen the flame.
- the liquid container with the metal holder is surrounded in a manner known per se by a decorative cover. This serves to improve the visual impression of the lamp. Furthermore, even after the fuel has been used up, only the liquid container is changed, and an expensive and elaborately designed decorative cover can continue to be used. To extend the burning time of the lamp, the wick is thin.
- the cost of the lamp can be reduced by using a plastic container. If the luminaire is handled improperly, especially in public premises, the risk of fire is limited, as when using a metal cartridge.
- the lamp can be assembled in such a way that the metal bracket is manufactured in an independent process and the wick is inserted. This unit is only to be inserted and sealed in the filled liquid container.
- the fitting and welding or pressing of the metal holder with the liquid container is facilitated in that a push-on catch or a guide groove is formed on the upper part of the liquid container at the connection point to the metal holder.
- the wick can be fixed better in that the nozzle is conically tapered and through its interior a longitudinal tube tapering from bottom to top.
- the tapered shape of the longitudinal tube creates a chimney effect during firing, which improves the wicking behavior of the wick.
- the flame flickers less and produces less soot.
- the flicker-free light is easier on the eyes.
- the figure shows a lamp that consists of a liquid container FB, in which a liquid fuel is filled.
- a specially cleaned fuel oil is used as fuel, in which a wick D is immersed.
- the wick D is inserted into the socket S of a metal holder MH which is welded onto the liquid container FB at the top.
- the metal bracket MH is made of aluminum and has a conical longitudinal tube tapering towards the inside of the connector S. It serves to accommodate the wick D.
- the metal holder MH is made in one piece and the burner opening on the top of the nozzle S is initially closed. A cross recess is punched through for inserting and fixing the wick D. Ventilation holes are also made in the quadrants formed by the cross recess. To form the opening, the corners are bent open at the center of the cross recess.
- the socket S has a thread G in its lower part so that a cover sleeve can be screwed on. It is conical and closes both the burner opening and the ventilation holes.
- the socket S is surrounded by a bead-like collar K and a depression from which any fuel drops or dirt particles, for example a matchstick, are collected.
- this also increases the surface area of the metal bracket MH. This creates an additional cooling effect and the metal bracket MH cannot be overheated when the lamp is burning.
- the liquid container FB is cylindrical. A transparent plastic is used as the material. So the user of the lamp can easily determine how much fuel is still in it.
- the metal holder MH is placed on a neck of the liquid container FB, which has a bead adapted to the shape of the collar K. The collar K is pressed tightly with the bead.
- a candle-like decorative cover ZH can be put over metal holder MH and liquid container FB.
- the liquid container FB cannot be refilled and must be replaced by a new one when the fuel is used up.
- the decorative cover ZH which can be artistically designed, is retained and is slipped back over the new liquid container FB.
- the liquid container FB is not visible when the luminaire is in use and no importance has to be attached to its optical design. It can be made from cheap material and glued together from one or more parts.
- the opening for receiving the metal holder MH can be located in a funnel-shaped depression. The wick D is not consumed by burning and does not have to be retightened. It is pushed through to the upper end of the metal bracket MH and extends to the bottom of the liquid container FB.

Description
The invention relates to a lamp for liquid fuel, which consists of a liquid container into which a wick is suspended from an overhead wick opening, the liquid container being made of plastic and a metal holder with a nozzle for receiving the wick opening on the upper part of the wick for fixing the wick Liquid container is placed, and on the collar of the metal holder the tapered nozzle is arranged, the interior of which is a longitudinal tube tapering from the bottom up and at the connection point to the metal holder on the upper part of the liquid container a guide groove is narrowly formed, which seals with the collar of the metal holder and is permanently pressed.
No. 4,464,109 shows a multi-part oil lamp which has a complicated bulge formation in the liquid container. This bead must be manufactured with precise tolerances, which on the one hand results in high tool costs and on the other hand also requires high quality control. Furthermore, the slot must also be milled. Wrapping the bead with the band-shaped seal requires precise positioning. If this seal slips, the entire lamp is thrown away because it is no longer possible to repair it. Such a risky and expensive production or manufacturing is actually not conceivable for mass articles.
Another lamp is described in DE-GM 84 26 342. These lights are used to replace candles because they burn longer and there is no risk of contamination from dripping wax. The container is manufactured as a metal cartridge using the extrusion or deep-drawing process. The wick is held in the opening by bent tips of the container. Since this opening is very small, the container must first be filled from below when the luminaire is manufactured and then the bottom must be inserted. Care must be taken when punching the opening and inserting the wick not to spill the fuel. The metal cartridge in particular is complex and expensive to produce.
The US 4,025,290 shows a lamp, the container is closed by a multi-part cap. First, a tube-like burner is placed, through which a wick is threaded and fastened by an attached wick holder. An additional operation is therefore necessary in order to insert the wick and mount it with the holder after the burner has been installed on the liquid container.
The invention has for its object to facilitate the manufacture and assembly of the lamp, and to prevent contamination of the wick and / or leakage of the fuel during transport or when not in use.
This is achieved according to claim 1 in that there is a thread in the lower part of the connecting piece for screwing on a cover sleeve.
The inventive design of the metal bracket has a serious advantage. An excellent cooling effect is guaranteed by the direct arrangement of the nozzle on the collar. The wide collar training contributes to this. Furthermore, there is no risk of contamination or easy cleaning.
In order to prevent the wick from becoming dirty and / or the fuel from escaping during transport or when not in use, a screw-on cover sleeve that closes off the upper burner opening is provided. The conical nozzle shape or one Conical shape of the cover sleeve ensures a particularly good seal when reclosing. A metal cover sleeve can also be used to dampen the flame.
According to a special embodiment of the invention, the liquid container with the metal holder is surrounded in a manner known per se by a decorative cover. This serves to improve the visual impression of the lamp. Furthermore, even after the fuel has been used up, only the liquid container is changed, and an expensive and elaborately designed decorative cover can continue to be used. To extend the burning time of the lamp, the wick is thin.
Since the metal holder of the wick forms a non-flammable covering, the cost of the lamp can be reduced by using a plastic container. If the luminaire is handled improperly, especially in public premises, the risk of fire is limited, as when using a metal cartridge. The lamp can be assembled in such a way that the metal bracket is manufactured in an independent process and the wick is inserted. This unit is only to be inserted and sealed in the filled liquid container.
The fitting and welding or pressing of the metal holder with the liquid container is facilitated in that a push-on catch or a guide groove is formed on the upper part of the liquid container at the connection point to the metal holder. The wick can be fixed better in that the nozzle is conically tapered and through its interior a longitudinal tube tapering from bottom to top.
The tapered shape of the longitudinal tube creates a chimney effect during firing, which improves the wicking behavior of the wick. The flame flickers less and produces less soot. The flicker-free light is easier on the eyes.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown. The figure shows the elevation of the embodiment.
The figure shows a lamp that consists of a liquid container FB, in which a liquid fuel is filled. A specially cleaned fuel oil is used as fuel, in which a wick D is immersed. The wick D is inserted into the socket S of a metal holder MH which is welded onto the liquid container FB at the top.
The metal bracket MH is made of aluminum and has a conical longitudinal tube tapering towards the inside of the connector S. It serves to accommodate the wick D. The metal holder MH is made in one piece and the burner opening on the top of the nozzle S is initially closed. A cross recess is punched through for inserting and fixing the wick D. Ventilation holes are also made in the quadrants formed by the cross recess. To form the opening, the corners are bent open at the center of the cross recess. The socket S has a thread G in its lower part so that a cover sleeve can be screwed on. It is conical and closes both the burner opening and the ventilation holes. Furthermore, the socket S is surrounded by a bead-like collar K and a depression from which any fuel drops or dirt particles, for example a matchstick, are collected. In addition, this also increases the surface area of the metal bracket MH. This creates an additional cooling effect and the metal bracket MH cannot be overheated when the lamp is burning.
The liquid container FB is cylindrical. A transparent plastic is used as the material. So the user of the lamp can easily determine how much fuel is still in it. The metal holder MH is placed on a neck of the liquid container FB, which has a bead adapted to the shape of the collar K. The collar K is pressed tightly with the bead. For embellishment, a candle-like decorative cover ZH can be put over metal holder MH and liquid container FB. The liquid container FB cannot be refilled and must be replaced by a new one when the fuel is used up. The decorative cover ZH, which can be artistically designed, is retained and is slipped back over the new liquid container FB. As a result, the liquid container FB is not visible when the luminaire is in use and no importance has to be attached to its optical design. It can be made from cheap material and glued together from one or more parts. In order to facilitate the factory filling of the liquid container FB, the opening for receiving the metal holder MH can be located in a funnel-shaped depression. The wick D is not consumed by burning and does not have to be retightened. It is pushed through to the upper end of the metal bracket MH and extends to the bottom of the liquid container FB.
