Description

The invention relates to a washing drum with folded or embossed drivers in the course of the drum jacket, each having an insert by which they absorb washing liquor from a low position in the tub and after further rotation of the washing drum from a higher position by in the driver flanks or Pour the openings arranged at the top onto the laundry and the plate which extends at least approximately in the lateral surface and fills the outer surface of the carrier cavity except for at least one scoop slot which points in the scooping direction and is arranged transversely to the scoop direction, and at a location opposite the slot of the driver has a lye deflector which extends into the cavity of the driver and at least one wall which extends into the cavity of the driver.

Such a washing drum is known from EP-A-242 737, in which, however, the inserts in the drivers cannot be permanently attached. The wall extending into the cavity also extends in the ridge direction of the driver, so that it forms a T together with the plate in cross section.

This well-known use can meet the requirements of a scoop insert, which is to be installed in an existing washing drum with drivers drawn into the drum jacket, does not meet: The known insert is unstable in the direction of rotation of the drum and cannot be fixed in a simple manner. Already fastening with screws would be too expensive and would possibly have a deleterious influence on the laundry. The slotted over the entire drum width against the driver pulling edges protrude far beyond the imaginary chord between the driver pulling edges and will therefore clap clapping in the lye when turning the drum and to a considerable extent beat undesirable foam. In addition, all conceivable forms of fastening would prove unsuitable in the known Schöpf application, because the strong transverse load during "foaming" would loosen any fastening. Since a jacket-loading laundry drum is normally turned by hand into the operating position after it has been stopped, the scooping inserts are gripped for turning and also loaded in the transverse direction. Such loads also gradually loosen the fastenings.

The invention has for its object to develop the state of the art in a washing drum mentioned at the outset, in particular to design the driver inserts in such a way that their fastenings are safe in the long term under all alternating loads and their shape has no harmful effect on the effect of the laundry treatment.

The invention solves this problem in that the wall is penetrated by a tie rod extending in the ridge direction of the driver through its cavity, by means of which the insert is held in the driver cavity. Such Tension anchors are part of washing drums anyway, the drum shell of which is clamped between two base plates by means of drivers folded or embossed in its course. The attachment of the driver inserts is simple and cheap at the same time and guarantees a stable hold over a long period of time.

Since the wall extending into the driver is penetrated by the tie rod during assembly, the constructive representation of such a driver insert is extremely simple and its hold in the assembly position is unmatched.

The scoop slot is advantageously part of a hood of the plate which at least slightly rises from the lateral surface. This serves to increase the amount of lye drawn, since the hood brings more lye into the carrier than a slot without a hood, and moreover, the plate can be made stiffer.

The wall can advantageously extend transversely to the ridge direction of the driver and thereby forms at least two chambers. At least two such walls can form even more chambers, the outer ones of which are delimited by the drum bottoms. In this case, the lye deflector extending into the cavity of the driver is intended as a support for two walls delimiting a chamber and also stabilizes these walls against damage when threading onto the tie rod. A scoop slot is assigned to each chamber.

If, according to another development of the invention, the slots of adjacent chambers in different scooping directions point, a scooping and sprinkling effect can be achieved with every direction of drum rotation.

According to another embodiment of the invention, the wall also forms the lye deflector, extends in the ridge direction of the driver and thereby divides the interior of the driver into two. chambers extending in the ridge direction. This is the safest and most gentle way to attach the driver insert in the driver. The scoop slots can be located on both sides of the insert plate.

In order that the unbalance caused by the doors or flaps at the loading opening can be compensated, it is provided according to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention that the compensating counterweight is combined with the insert.

This embodiment can be developed in a particularly advantageous manner in that the counterweight is embedded as a special part in the wall extending in the ridge direction of the driver.

So that the washing drum can be rotated more easily, e.g. for setting the washing drum in the loading position, it is provided according to a further feature of the invention that a handle recess is formed in the plate.

A tie rod 7 is guided through the tips of the triangular walls the drum bases of the washing drum pulls against the cylinder jacket 16. At the same time, the scooping device is held in the driver trough 8. If the washing drum now rotates in the direction of arrow 9, liquor flows into the space 11 of the scooping device in the direction of arrow 10 when the driver passes through the lower part of the tub (not shown) surrounding it. After turning the washing drum further, the space 11 under the plate 2 releases the lye onto the laundry from a higher position of the driver through the openings 12 in a flank 13 of the driver or in its ridge. A lye deflector 14 on the one hand gives the scooping device 1 a hold in the driving trough 8 and also prevents the lye from flowing out of the space 11 to the outside of the drum prematurely. In the plate 2, a recess 15 is made, which serves as a recessed handle for moving the washing drum by hand. This means that the loading opening in the drum jacket can easily be raised by hand. The one for attaching the scoop in the driving trough 8 serving tie rod 7 can also be used by a filling as a mass balance for the loading opening of the washing drum.

Figure 3 shows the operation of the scoop. The washing drum 27 rotates here, for example, in the direction of arrow 9, so that when the scoop device 1 is immersed in the liquor 17 located in the bottom of the tub 28, liquor 3 flows into the space 11 of the scoop device through the slot 3. When the washing drum continues to rotate, this lye is lifted up and rained on the laundry from a higher position through the openings 12 in the driver. The scoop devices shown in Fig. 3 are effective only in one direction of rotation of the washing drum. If the washing drum is to be operated in a reversing manner and scooping in both directions of rotation, the scooping devices are to be inserted into the drivers in such a way that some scooping devices are effective in one direction of rotation and the other scooping devices in the other direction of rotation.

The washing drum shown can be loaded on the jacket side and has a loading opening 19 which can be closed by two closures 18 and 18 'through the closure 20. To compensate for these additional masses, the scoop device 1 opposite the closure can be provided with additional masses.

Zugleich dient er ebenfalls der Versteifung der Platte 2 und der Wände 4 bis 6.1, the scooping device according to FIG. 4 consists only of the plate 2 and the side wall parts 4 - and not shown here - 5. Further ribs 6 can be provided to stiffen the scooping device. The slot 3 is formed here by a hood 21 projecting beyond the plate 2. The lye deflector 14 arranged on the opposite side, together with the flank surfaces 22 of the side wall parts 4 and 5 or the ribs 6, allows a good fit in the trough of the driver 8 and prevents the lye from flowing out to the outside. At the same time, it also serves to stiffen the plate 2 and the walls 4 to 6.

As Figure 5 shows, the scooping device can also be formed so that there are several chambers 23, the hood 21 in one direction of rotation of the drum and the hood 21 'in the other direction of rotation of the drum acting as lye-extracting slots 3 and the Fill the respective chamber space 23 'or 23 with lye, depending on the direction of rotation of the washing drum.

As FIG. 6 shows, side wall parts 4 and 5 according to FIG. 5 are not absolutely necessary. If the scooping device is inserted into the trough of a driver that already has lateral boundary walls through the drum bottoms, the lateral walls 4 and 5 are unnecessary. The walls 6 are sufficient for securely holding the plate 2 on the tie rod 7. The chambers 23 can be contained in the scoop device in a freely selected number and division. Each chamber must have a slot 3 which extends from the hood 21 and the lower edge of the drum shell to the driver is formed.

Fig. 7 zeigt eine Schöpfvorrichtung mit Gegengewicht 24. Vorzugsweise ist das Teil 26 vom (Kunststoff-)Werkstoff der Schöpfvorrichtung umgeben.FIG. 7 shows a scoop device with counterweight 24. Here, the trough of the driver is divided in two by a wall 25 in its longitudinal direction. The plate 2 also contains - on both sides - hoods 21 and 21 ', so that the scoop is effective in both directions of rotation of the washing drum. The plate 2 is also provided with a handle recess 15 here. The counterweight 24 can be attached to the scoop from the same material as the scoop or as a special part 26 from a specifically heavier material. The part 26 is preferably surrounded by the (plastic) material of the scoop device.

Claims (11)

  1. Washing drum with entraining members (8), which are folded or stamped in the course of the drum casing (16) and each display a respective insert (1), by which they take up washing solution out of a low setting in the liquor container (28) and - after a further rotation of the washing drum - pour it out of a higher position through openings (12), which are arranged in the flanks (13) or ridges of the entraining members, onto the laundry and which displays a plate (2), which extends at least approximately in the casing surface (16) and fills out the area at the casing side of the entraining member cavity except for at least one scoop slot (3) pointing in, the scooping direction (9) and arranged transversely to the scooping direction, and a liquor deflector (14, 25) extending into the cavity of the entraining member (8) at a location, which is within the entraining member and opposite the slot, as well as at least one wall (4 to 6 and 25) extending into the cavity of the entraining member (8), in particular a washing drum, which is loadable at the side of the casing and the charging opening (19) of which is closable by at least one door (18) hinged at the drum casing (16), characterised thereby, that the wall (4 to 6 and 25) is penetrated by a tie rod (7), which extends in the direction of the ridge of the entraining member (8) and through its cavity and by which the insert (1) is retained in the entraining member cavity.
  2. Washing drum according to claim 1, characterised thereby, that the scoop slot (3) is component of a hood (21, 21'), which protrudes at least slightly from the casing surface, of the plate (2).
  3. Washing drum according to claim 1 or 2, characterised thereby, that the wall (4 to 6) extends transversely to the direction of the ridge of the entraining member (8).
  4. Washing drum according to one of the claims 1 to 3, characterised thereby, that the wall (6, 25) or the walls (4 to 6) bound at least one chamber (23, 23') within the entraining member (8) and a scoop slot (3, 3') is associated with each chamber.
  5. Washing drum according to claim 4, characterised thereby, that the slots (3, 3') of neighbouring chambers (23, 23') point in different scooping directions.
  6. Washing drum according to one of the claims 1, 2, 4 and 5, characterised thereby, that the wall (25) at the same time forms the liquor deflector and extends in the direction of the ridge of the entraining member (8) and thereby divides the entraining member cavity into two chambers (23) extending in the direction of the ridge (Figure 7).
  7. Washing drum, the one entraining member of which displays a counterweight to the charging door, according to one of the preceding claims, characterised thereby, that the counterweight (24) is united with the insert (1).
  8. Washing drum according to claim 6 and 7, characterised thereby, that the counterweight (24) is embedded as special part of the wall (25) extending in the direction of the ridge of the entraining member (8).
  9. Washing drum according to one of the preceding claims, characterised thereby, that the liquor deflector (14) is constructed as a fitting limb of the insert (1) formed in the manner of a housing and lies against the associated flank (13) of the entraining member.
  10. Washing drum according to one of the claims 1 to 5, 7 and 9, characterised thereby, that the liquor deflector (14) furthermore serves as support for two walls (4 to 6) bounding a chamber (23, 23').
  11. Washing drum according to one of the preceding claims, characterised thereby, that a handle cavity (15) is shaped into the plate (2).
