Abstract

This concerns the installation, between the floor (10) and the ceiling (11) of any room, perpendicularly to a sole rail (29) previously mounted on the floor (10), of a partition panel (12) whose core (15) can be at least partly removed along its edge. According to the invention, a U-section is chosen as the sole rail, the partition panel (12) is brought laterally, inclined or lying, into contact with this sole rail (29) by an edge along which its core has previously been at least partly removed, and it is raised to the vertical until, straddling the particular flange of the sole rail (29), it is installed partly inside this sole rail (29) and partly outside the latter. Application, in particular, to composite partition panels. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates generally to the establishment, between floor and ceiling, of a partition panel, with a view for example to the production of a partition by placing such partition panels end to end, and it aims more particularly the case where the partition panel or panels thus to be used are partition panels whose core is capable of being at least partially stripped on their edge.

This is the case, in particular, for composite partition panels sold under the commercial designation "PLACOPAN".

As is known, these are panels formed, on the one hand, of a core of honeycomb structure, and, on the other hand, of two facing plates, which, each arranged respectively on the side and d 'other of this soul, are suitably secured to it.

To date, for the establishment, between floor and ceiling, of a partition panel of this type, a sole is used, which is previously attached to the floor, and to the right of which is then vertically erected this partition panel.

In practice, this sole is in the form of a simple wooden plank, and there is associated with it, on the ceiling, another wooden plank, of smaller width, than each partition panel, once erected vertically, overlaps by its plates, its core having been suitably stripped for this purpose, and which is intended to form for it a guide rail when it is then slid, in one direction or the other, to bring it to its final place, split against a wall or in continuity with another partition panel already installed.

The set is completed by keys, also made of wood, which are brought from place to place on the sole and guide rail, on either side of the partition panels successively laid, being overlapped by them, and to which these partition panels are then secured by nailing.

Such a process is satisfactory, but, in addition to the risk of bursting, when installed, of the sole, of the guide rail, and of the wooden keys, thus implemented, it has the disadvantage of requiring relatively delicate handling. , and relatively painful, partition panels to be installed, these partition panels having to be worn at arm's length for their engagement on the guide rail present on the ceiling and their installation on the sole corollarily provided on the ground.

The present invention generally relates to a process making it possible to simplify and facilitate these operations and also leading to other advantages.

More specifically, it firstly relates to a process for the establishment, between floor and ceiling, of a partition panel whose core is capable of being at least partially stripped on its edge, of the kind according to which, a sole being previously attached to the ground, said partition panel is erected in line with said sole, this process being generally characterized in that, having chosen for the sole a profile generally having a cross section in U, with a middle part and two lateral wings, the partition panel is brought laterally, inclined or lying, in contact with one of the wings of this sole, by a slice of this partition panel on which the core has been previously partially stripped, and it is straightened vertically until, spanning the wing concerned of said sole, it is established partly inside this sole and partly outside it this ; it also relates to the sole suitable for the implementation of such a process.

Thus, according to the invention, instead of carrying at arm's length the partition panel to be installed, advantage is taken of the lever arm which such a device can constitute by itself. partition panel, by buttressing this partition panel with the sole to the right of which it must be established.

The effort to deploy for the installation of such a partition panel is advantageously reduced, to the benefit, in particular, of productivity.

In addition, the sole implemented according to the invention is advantageously capable of ensuring by itself an excellent guidance of the partition panel thus posed when the latter is to slide to bring it into its final place, so that it is not necessary to do this to provide any rail on the ceiling.

All that is needed on this ceiling are keys arranged from place to place.

In addition to the resulting saving of material, the initial layout on the ceiling is advantageously simplified, this layout no longer requiring taking into account the thickness of the plates of the partition panels to be laid.

In addition, taking into account the particularly precise guidance provided by the sole implemented according to the invention, it is advantageously obtained better alignment of the successive partition panels, to the benefit of the overall appearance of the assembly.

This sole further providing by itself a relatively notable mechanical resistance at the foot of these partition panels, the overall mechanical resistance of these is advantageously increased in proportions which can reach in practice 25%, and this is the case. all the more so since this sole is advantageously suitable for screwing, rather than simply nailing, these partition panels.

The removal of keys at the foot of these partition panels makes it possible as a corollary to create between them and the soleplate with which they are engaged, a construction void, which, if desired, can be used for the passage of electric cables or any other pipes.

Current, unlike the previous keys, over the entire length of the partition panels that it concerns, the sole implemented according to the invention also improves the sealing between these partition panels and the underlying floor, to the benefit acoustic performance.

Preferably, the sole used according to the invention is made of metal or synthetic material

Any risk of bursting during implementation is thus ruled out, for the benefit of greater reliability in the fixing of the partition panel or panels concerned and of a more secure durability of this fixing.

A sole thus made of metal or synthetic material. being also less sensitive to moisture than a wooden sole, any risk of subsequent deformation by swelling is eliminated, to the benefit of the durability, here too, of the appearance and regularity of the whole, without that it is necessary, for this, to provide, as is the case to date, between the sole and the ground, any other sole suitable for isolating from the ground the previous one and thereby protecting it from moisture.

In short, the sole implemented according to the invention facilitates and simplifies the installation of partition panels to be installed, it makes it possible to reduce the number of elements necessary for this installation, and it leads to better quality of presentation and increased mechanical strength for the partition panels thus installed.

In German patent application No. DE-A-2,823,216, it is not actually implemented, at the base of the panels, of soles comparable to that which is the subject of the present invention, that is to say - say soles capable of isolating these panels from the ground.

Indeed, in this German patent application, the panels are attached laterally on the side of high and low rails, instead of being placed between such rails, and these rails, which are made of wood, thus intervene rather at the way of the keys cited, to illustrate the prior art, in the very preamble of the present application.

If, in the American patent No US-A-4,567,699, it is well implemented, on the other hand, a sole, it is not a U-shaped sole, but an inverted T-shaped sole.

Nothing suggests that such a sole can serve as support for a vertical straightening of panels, initially presented at an angle against it.

On the contrary, the engagement of the tenon and mortise type provided between it and these panels can only oppose such a process.

As in the German patent application No. DE-A-2,823,216, there is no use, in American patent No. US-A-4,361,994, of a sole within the meaning of the present invention.

In fact, if, in this American patent, a low U-shaped rail is used, the panels are applied laterally to this low rail, and not at least partially engaged in it.

Only there are from place to place engaged elements, which are not at all constituted by the panels, but which are pillars, arranged, for example, at the junction of these panels.

Nothing suggests either, in this American patent, that the panels are presented at an angle against such a low rail, before being straightened vertically.

As illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, it is, overall, the establishment, between the floor 10 and the ceiling 11 of any room, of at least one partition panel 12, and, by example, and as shown, of an alignment of such partition panels 12, for the constitution of a partition 13 extending in split from one of the walls 14 of the room in question.

In practice, each of the partition panels 12 thus to be drawn up is a partition panel whose core is capable of being at least partially stripped on its edge.

For example, and as shown, it is a composite partition panel comprising, on the one hand, a core 15, of honeycomb structure, itself made up of strips of cardboard 16 intersecting two by two at right angle along a gridded network, and, on the other hand, two covering plates 17, which themselves each consist of a layer of plaster taken between two sheets of cardboard, are suitably secured, for example by gluing, to the previous 15 soul.

Due to its cardboard constitution, this core 15 can easily be stripped.

According to the prior art, and as illustrated in FIG. 1, for the establishment, vertically, between the floor 10 and the ceiling 11, of a composite partition panel 12 thus formed, it is first reported, on the ground 10, a sole 19, constituted, in practice, of a simple wooden board.

As a corollary, it is reported, on the ceiling 11, and following a layout like that of the sole 19, a guide rail 20, itself also made up in practice of a simple wooden board.

The width of the flange 19 is greater than the thickness, overall, of the partition panels 12 to be laid, while that of the guide rail 20 is less than the distance separating, internally, from one another, their two cover plates 17.

It is then proceeded to the partial stripping of the core 15 of these partition panels 12, on their upper edge, over the entire length of this edge, on their lower edge, at the only ends thereof, and, place in place, on their side edges.

Carried at arm's length, each partition panel 12 is then erected vertically in line with the sole 19, after prior engagement, at an oblique angle, of its upper edge on the guide rail 20.

The first partition panel 12 thus laid is then slid along the sole 19 and the guide rail 20, until it is applied against the wall 14, with engagement of its corresponding lateral edge on a key 21, forming starting rail. , previously fixed for this purpose on this wall 14, and engagement of its lower edge on a key 22 itself previously reported for this purpose on the sole 19 in contact with the wall 14.

The same procedure was successively carried out for the various partition panels 12 to be laid, with the establishment, from place to place, between them, on their lateral edge, of connecting keys 23.

Like the sole 19 and the guide rail 20, the keys 21, 22 and 23 thus used are usually made of wood, and the partition panels 12 are then joined to it by nailing.

According to the invention, a sole 29 is chosen for the sole, formed of a profile having a generally U-shaped cross section, with a central part 30 and two lateral wings 31.

In practice, the wings 31 extend substantially perpendicular to the middle part 30, and they both have the same height H.

Preferably, and as is the case in the embodiments illustrated in FIG. 3 and in FIGS. 6 to 13, the sole 29 thus formed has, longitudinally, between its lateral wings 31, parallel to these, in projection on its middle part 30, on at least a portion of the length of this middle part 30, at least one rib 32.

In the embodiment more particularly shown in FIG. 3, only such a rib 32 is provided, and, for reasons which will appear below, it is closer to one of the lateral wings 31 than to the other.

In the embodiment shown, the rib 32 has a triangular cross section.

At least one of its flanks is thus generally oblique on the middle part 30.

In practice, the cross section of the rib 32 being an isosceles triangle, this is the case for both of these flanks.

As is the case in the embodiment shown in Figure 3, the sole 29 according to the invention can advantageously be made of metal, for example by folding.

Its rib 32 is then simply formed by a simple local deformation of its middle part 30.

Anyway, by construction, it is made so that, measured at the foot of this rib 32, the distance D1 separating the latter from the nearest lateral wing 31 is substantially equal to the thickness D2 of the covering plates 17 of the partition panels 12 to be installed.

Jointly, it is made so that, measured under the same conditions, the distance D3 separating from the other lateral wing 31 the flank of the rib 32 facing the preceding wing 31 is less than the distance D4 separating, internally, the one from the other, these two covering plates 17.

Finally, it is arranged that the height H of the lateral wings 31 is less than the distance D5 separating the internal face of one covering plate 17 from the external face of the other.

However, for the establishment, between the floor 10 and the ceiling 11, of the partition panels 12 to be laid, the procedure is as follows for each of them.

The sole 29 having, as previously, previously attached to the ground 10, and suitably secured thereto, by its median part 30, it is brought, first, laterally, in contact with that of its lateral wings 31 which is the most distant from its rib 32, such a partition panel 12, by presenting it lying, or inclined, as shown in FIG. 5A, the corresponding contact between the soleplate 29 and this partition panel 12 being made by the lower edge, concerned, of the latter, on which the core 15 has been previously at least partially stripped over its entire length, over a height at least equal to the height H of the lateral wings 31 of the sole 29.

As illustrated by the arrow F in FIG. 5A, the partition panel 12 is thus straightened vertically during installation, by rotation of the latter around its support on the sole 29, this support then being done by the inner edge of that of its covering plates 17 which is the farthest from the rib 32 of the sole 29, until, spanning, after having bypassed it, the lateral wing 31 concerned with this sole of support 29, this partition panel 12 is partly established inside this sole 29, by one of its covering plates 17 and its core 15, and partly outside thereof, by its other cover plate 17, as shown in Figure 5B.

As will be understood, due to the obliquity of the side of the rib 32 of the sole 29 facing the side wing 31 of the latter, that of the covering plates 17 of such a panel. partition 12 which engages between this rib 32 and this lateral wing 31 is guided in the direction of the latter, until it comes into application against it at the end of the vertical straightening of this partition panel 12.

The lateral wing 31 of the sole 29 against which the partition panel 12 being laid is then thus applied advantageously serves as a reference for its location, and therefore for its alignment with the other partition panels 12 concerned.

As before, after each of these partition panels 12 have been placed vertically, they are slid along the sole 29, to bring them to their final position.

With regard to the first partition panel 12, and as before, it is engaged, by its relevant lateral edge, on a key 34 previously fixed for this purpose on the wall 14, after a suitable stripping of its core 15 on this side slice.

But, according to the invention, and as it is better visible in FIG. 4, the key 34 is also a profile generally having a U-shaped cross section, with a middle part 35 and two lateral wings 36, and made of preferably metal.

In their current part, the lateral wings 36, which have the same height, extend substantially perpendicularly to the middle part 35, but, at their ends, they approach one another, to facilitate engagement, on them, a partition panel 12.

It is, of course, through its central part 35 that the key 34 is attached to the wall 14.

For the first partition panel 12, a key 34 is also used on the ceiling 11, at the connection of the wall 14 with the latter.

It is the same for the other partition panels 12, at their junctions.

Thus, the preceding continuous guide rail 20 is, according to the invention, replaced by keys 34 installed from place to place on the ceiling 11.

As before, keys 34 are also arranged from place to place on the height of the partition panels 12, for their connection.

However, these are the same keys as above, so that, according to the invention, one and the same type of accessory, the key 34, is sufficient for all of the necessary connections, in addition to the sole 29.

The fastening of the partition panels 12 to the sole 29 is made, from place to place, by screwing, it being understood, however, that, when, as in the present case, this sole 29 has a rib 32 which is already clean by itself to ensure sufficient holding by cooperation with the side wing 31 closest, this connection by screwing is not essential.

Taking into account the increased mechanical resistance brought to the assembly by the sole 29, it is not essential, either, to ensure a joining of the partition panels 12 to the keys 34.

If, however, this joining is practiced, it is also provided by screwing.

In the variant embodiment illustrated in FIG. 6, the sole 29 is made of synthetic material.

Its rib 32 is then for example massive, as shown.

In the alternative embodiment shown in FIG. 7, the middle part 30 of the sole 29 extends, on one side of its rib 32, at a level higher than that to which it extends on the other side of that -this.

In practice, this is the case on the side of the rib 32 facing the nearest side wing 31.

In other words, on the side of this lateral wing 31, the middle part 30 then forms, in elevation relative to the base of this lateral wing 31, a heel 38.

However, in view of the above, it is on this heel 38 that the partition panels 12 come to bear when they have been erected vertically in line with the sole 29.

It follows that these partition panels 12 are then raised relative to the ground 10, and that thus isolated from the latter, they are advantageously removed from the effects of the humidity possibly affecting this soil 10.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 7, only the side of the rib 32 facing the nearest side flange 31 is oblique on the middle part 30, the other side of this rib 32 being on the right, extending substantially perpendicularly to this middle part 30.

Of course, and as before, one and the other of the sides of the rib 32 could be oblique on the middle part 30.

This rib 32 can also have very diverse cross sections.

For example, Figure 8, its cross section is curved, for example semi-circular.

As a variant, FIGS. 9 to 12, it is generally quadrangular, one and the other of its flanks being straight, either that these flanks are spaced from one another, as is the case in FIGS. 9 at 11, with, for example, a flat top surface, FIG. 9, curve, FIG. 10, or in facets, FIG. 11, either that they are substantially contiguous with each other, as is the case in FIG. 12.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 13, these flanks are also contiguous, but the corresponding rib 32 is slightly laid obliquely relative to the middle part 30.

In the embodiments shown in FIGS. 14 and 15, and as in FIG. 7, the flank of the rib 32 furthest from the nearest lateral wing 31 is straight.

In FIG. 14, and as in FIGS. 3, 6 and 7, the flank of the rib 32 turned towards the nearest lateral wing 31, which is oblique on the middle part 30, is flat; in figure 15 it is curved.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 16, the rib 32 is used to make, by a puncture, from one of its flanks, and for example that facing the nearest lateral wing 31 , which is oblique, with a tab 39, which, folded back in the plane of the middle part 30, is suitable for being used for fixing the sole 29 concerned.

In the foregoing, it has been assumed that the rib 32 extends longitudinally over the entire length of the sole 29.

But, in reality, this is not imperative, this rib 32 being able to intervene only locally, and for example from place to place.

This is the case in the variant embodiment illustrated in FIG. 17.

In this variant embodiment, the rib 32 is in fact formed by a simple tongue coming from the middle part 30 by a simple puncture 40 thereof.

In the above, too, only one rib 32 has been provided.

However, as a variant, the sole 29 can equally well comprise, parallel to one another at a distance from each other, at least two ribs 32 projecting from its central part 30.

This is the case in the embodiment shown in FIG. 18, on which two ribs 32 of triangular cross section, with isosceles profile, are thus provided.

Let D′1 be the distance of this second rib 32 with respect to the lateral wing 31 which is the closest to it.

Preferably, this distance D′1 is made different from the distance D1 separating the other rib 32 from the opposite lateral wing 31.

The sole 29 can therefore be used indifferently for two different types of partition panels 12, one for which the thickness D2 of their covering plates 17 corresponds to the distance D1, the other for which it corresponds to the distance D ′ 1.

A similar result can be obtained using a single rib 32 of sufficient transverse extension and suitably arranged.

It follows from the above that, in the embodiments shown, the sole 29 has no longitudinal plane of symmetry.

But it would not go beyond the scope of the present invention to give this sole 29 a longitudinal plane of symmetry, its rib (s) 32 then extending symmetrically on either side thereof.

It would not go beyond the scope of the present invention either to remove any ribs, as is the case in the embodiment shown in FIG. 19.

Indeed, even in this case, the implementation of the method according to the invention remains possible.

But it is then imperative to secure by screwing the partition panels 12 to the sole 29 thus devoid of rib.

In the embodiments shown in FIGS. 7 to 19, the sole 29 is assumed to be made of metal, as was already the case for the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 5.

But it goes without saying that they can just as easily be made of synthetic material, as is the case in the embodiment shown in FIG. 6.

It is the same for the keys 34 implemented.

The present invention is moreover not limited to the embodiments described and shown, but encompasses any variant embodiment and / or combination of their various elements.

Claims (14)

1. Method for the establishment, between floor and ceiling, of a partition panel (12) whose core (15) is capable of being at least partially stripped on its edge, of the kind according to which a sole (29) being previously attached to the ground, said partition panel (12) is erected in line with said sole (29), characterized in that, having chosen for sole (29) a profile having a generally U-shaped cross section, with a middle part (30) and two lateral wings (31), the partition panel (12) is brought laterally, inclined or lying, in contact with one of the lateral wings (31) of this sole (29), by a slice of this partition panel (12) on which the core (15) has been previously at least partially stripped, and it is straightened vertically until, spanning the lateral wing (31) concerned said sole (29), it is partly established inside this sole (29) and partly outside of the latter. 2. Sole suitable for implementing the method according to claim 1, characterized in that, formed of a profile having generally a U-shaped cross section, it has a middle part (30) and two lateral wings (31). 3. Sole according to claim 2, characterized in that, between its lateral wings (31), and parallel to these, it has longitudinally, projecting from its median part (30), over at least a portion of the length thereof, at least one rib (32). 4. Sole according to claim 3, characterized in that at least one of the sides of its rib (32) is generally oblique on its median part (30). 5. Sole according to claim 4, characterized in that its rib (32) has a triangular cross section. 6. Sole according to claim 4, characterized in that its rib (32) has a curved cross section. 7. Sole according to claim 3, characterized in that its rib (32) has a quadrangular cross section. 8. Sole according to any one of claims 3 to 7, characterized in that its rib (32) is closer to one of its lateral wings (31) than the other. 9. Sole according to any one of claims 3 to 8, characterized in that on one side of its rib (32) its median part (30) extends at a level higher than that to which it extends from l 'other side of this rib (32). 10. Sole according to any one of claims 3 to 9, characterized in that its rib (32) is formed by a simple local deformation of its middle part (30). 11. Sole according to any one of claims 3 to 9, characterized in that, its rib (32) is formed by a simple tongue coming from its middle part (30) by a simple puncture (40) thereof. 12. Sole according to any one of claims 3 to 11, characterized in that its rib (32) is used to make a tab (39) suitable for being used for its fixing. 13. Sole according to any one of claims 3 to 9, characterized in that, its rib (32) is massive. 14. Sole according to any one of claims 3 to 13, characterized in that it comprises, parallel to one another, at a distance from each other, at least two ribs (32) projecting on its middle part (30).
