Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a protective cover for building and painting scaffolds, which is releasably attached to at least two scaffold frames by means of cantilevered and pivoting support tubes towards the building wall, to cover the area of the scaffold frame and the area remaining between it and the building wall with a rigid, water-impermeable area Cover plates.
Construction and painting scaffolds are set up at a certain distance from the building wall. For the construction and painting trades, it is very often necessary to provide protection against the effects of the weather in order to carry out the proper execution of certain work on the building wall. This protection must be effective both in the horizontal and especially in the vertical direction, whereby the distance between the scaffolding and the building wall must also be covered.
So far, flexible tarpaulins have been used for the required coverage. The application of these flexible tarpaulins is cumbersome and does not guarantee comprehensive protection against the weather. The wind Finds points of attack relatively easily to release the tarpaulin from the fortifications. The fluttering of the tarpaulin caused by the wind is unpleasant. In addition, it can not be avoided that the tarpaulins are damaged during storage and assembly or disassembly, which affects the effectiveness in the functional position and additional points of attack are created for the incoming wind.
A scaffolding is already known from FR-A-2 221 949, the vertical supports of which are connected in the longitudinal direction by longitudinal members. The worktops arranged between the scaffold frames are provided with upstands, but they serve to hold and immovably lock the worktops on the side members. With this solution, it is not possible to protect the building wall against the effects of the weather. The upstands there serve a different purpose and in particular the problem of overlapping and controlled water drainage has not been solved.
On the outer pillar of the scaffold, a vertical holding arm, projecting above the scaffold, on the upper end of which a support is pivotally mounted, is attached in a height-adjustable manner. The individual beams are connected by cross struts to form a lattice structure, one of them with Belt attached tarpaulin is pulled. Apart from the disadvantages caused by the use of flexible tarpaulins with regard to durability during assembly, disassembly and storage as well as adverse wind influences and the higher construction and assembly costs, this protective cover can only be arranged above the scaffolding and not at any height or inclined position.
Finally, with DE-A-29 09 883 a weather protection device is known in which vertical bearing sleeves are arranged at the upper end of the scaffolding rods, in which support members with supporting elements fastened thereon for receiving rigid cover plates are rotatably mounted about a vertical axis. Although solid, water-impermeable panels are already used in accordance with this proposal, on the one hand the structural effort for the supporting elements is high and on the other hand the assembly, disassembly and intermediate storage of the cover parts and the instability of the overall construction are problematic. The main disadvantage is that the cover plates can only be pivoted about a vertical axis and can only be arranged above the scaffolding and, moreover, no controlled water drainage is guaranteed. A different height of the cover within the scaffold frame or an arrangement in an inclined position to cover a building gable side according to the roof pitch is not possible with this solution.
The invention has for its object to develop a protective cover for building and painting scaffolding on the basis of rigid, water-impermeable plates that are attached at any desired height of the scaffold and in different inclinations in the longitudinal direction to protect the gable sides of gable roofs according to the roof pitch can, and thereby creates a sufficient protective effect against weather influences and enables simple, damage to the plates largely eliminating handling during assembly and storage.
This object is achieved by the characterizing features of
The invention provides a protective cover that is easy to assemble and disassemble, that offers full weather protection after attachment to the scaffolding and is equally resistant to wind pressure and wind suction. The upstands as well as the fastening rails serve to ensure the stability of the panels, while this design enables good stackability and gentle storage of the panels. On the other hand, the rainwater drainage is controlled via the upstands and the conical shape of the plates simultaneously creates the possibility of overlapping and targeted rainwater management when the slope is inclined Longitudinal panels. Finally, the inclination or the optional height within the scaffolding is possible due to the two-part design of the plates in conjunction with the height adjustment of the support tubes on the supports of the scaffold frame and the design of the recesses in different lengths (for the inclination) with sufficient sealing against weather influences . The stability of the individual panels, which are very narrow due to the division, is ensured by the upstands and fastening rails.

On the outer support of the
Since, as can be seen from FIG. 1, the
The compensating
In a variant, the
