Dies setzt aber - wie gesagt - voraus, daß die Schenkelendabschnitte in der Lage sind, die Schließriegel beim Einführen der Schenkelendabschnitte in die Schenkelaufnahmen durch Nockenwirkung zurückzudrücken. Diese Voraussetzung läßt sich aber nur mit verhältnismäßig primitiver und vom Sicherheitsstandpunkt aus ungünstiger Eingriffsgestaltung zwischen den Schließriegeln und den Schenkelendabschnitten erreichen. Dagegen wird bei der erfindungsgemäßen Lösung dank des Vorhandenseins des Riegelsteuerungsglieds die Verbindung von Schließbügel und Schloßkörper einschließlich der Sperrung völlig unabhängig von einer Nockenwirkung zwischen dem Schenkelendabschnitt des Schließbügels und dem Schließriegel. Nach einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform der Erfindung ist vorgesehen, daß der Schließriegel mit dem Riegelrückzugswerk in zwangsläufiger Getriebeverbindung steht derart, daß das Riegelrückzugswerk nur dann in den Grundzustand zurückkehren kann, wenn der Schließriegel in die Riegeleingriffsstellung zurückkehrt. Durch diese zusätzliche Maßnahme wird erreicht, daß der Schlüssel erst dann gezogen wird, wenn Schließbügel und Schloßkörper in Schließstellung zusammengesteckt sind und der Schließriegel in Eingriffsstellung getreten ist. Es ist damit ausgeschlossen, daß der Schlüssel gezogen wird, ohne daß Schloßkörper und Schließbügel ordnungsgemäß zusammengesteckt und miteinander versperrt sind. Claims (17)

  1. A shackle-type lock, especially a long shackle-type lock, comprising a lock body (10) and a locking shackle, the leg end portions (40) of this locking shackle each being insertable into a leg receptacle (42) until a locking position (40 in Figure 1) is reached and said locking shackle being completely separable (40 in Figure 8) from the lock body (10) by removal of the leg end portions (40) out of the leg receptacles (42), at least one locking bolt (32) furthermore being movably guided in the lock body (10) and biased by biasing means (36) in the direction of an engaged position (32 in Figs. 1 and 2) in order to move into the engaged position (32 in Figs. 1 and 2) upon entry of the leg end portions (40) into their locking position inside the leg receptacles (42), thereby catching in a bolt engagement surface (48) of at least one leg end portion (40) and thus blocking withdrawal of this leg end portion (40) from the associated leg receptacle (42), a key-operable bolt withdrawal mechanism (20) further being accommodated inside the lock body (10) and being in geared (28,34) connection with the locking bolt (32), which can be transferred by means of the key from a normal state (32 in Figs. 1 and 2) permitting key insertion and withdrawal and corresponding to the engaged position of the locking bolt (32) against the action of the biasing means (36) into a lock opening state (32 in Fig. 9) forcing the locking bolt (32) into a disengaged position, characterized in that a bolt control member (46) is mounted in the leg receptacle (42), which member (46) adjoins the leg end portion (40) under spring pressure (44) and acts (40 in Figs. 8 and 9) on the leg end portion (40) in the sense of displacement of the leg end portion (40) out of the locking position in the direction of separation from the lock body (10) upon transfer of the locking bolt (32) out of the engaged position (32 in Figs. 1 and 2) into the disengaged position (46 in Figs. 8 and 9), moving from a bolt release position (32 in Figs. 1 and 2) into a bolt influencing position (32 in Figs. 8 and 9), in which it prevents (46 in Figs. 8 and 9) the return of the locking bolt (32) into its engaged position (32 in Figs. 1 and 2).
  2. A shackle-type lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the locking bolt (32) is in forced geared connection (28, 34) with the bolt withdrawal mechanism (20) in such a way that the bolt withdrawal mechanism (20) can only return to the normal state (20 in Figs. 1 and 2) when the locking bolt (32) returns to the engaged position (32 in Figs. 1 and 2).
  3. A shackle-type lock according to either one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the locking bolt (32) crosses the axis of the associated leg end portion (40) at a distance therefrom and engages in a bolt engagement face (48) parallel with the longitudinal extension of the locking bolt (32) and constructed as a tangential groove of the leg end portion (40).
  4. A shackle-type lock according to any one of claims 1 - 3, characterized in that the bolt withdrawal mechanism (20) consists of a lock cylinder (20) with a lock cylinder core (22) rotatable in a lock cylinder housing, which lock cylinder core (22) is prevented from rotating in the normal state (22 in Figs. 1 and 2) when the key is withdrawn by pin tumblers or the like and is rotatable when the key is inserted by throwout of the pin tumblers, and in that a pinion (28) or the like is mounted on the locking cylinder core (22), which pinion (28) is connected with the locking bolt (32) via a rack (34) or the like.
  5. A shackle-type lock according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the bolt control member (46) is biased in the direction of the bolt influencing position (44 in Fig. 8) by a helical compression spring (44) supported on a base (14) of the recess (42).
  6. A shackle-type lock according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the bolt control member (46) is formed of a control sleeve (46), into which the leg end portion (40) penetrates upon insertion into the recess (42).
  7. A shackle-type lock according to either one of claims 5 and 6, characterized in that the helical compression spring (44) encloses the bolt control member (46) over part of its length.
  8. A shackle-type lock according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the control member (46) in the bolt influencing position (46 in Figs. 8 and 9) closes the mouth of a bolt guide channel (30), guiding the locking bolt (32), in the leg receptacle (42).
  9. A shackle-type lock according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that a stop shoulder (50) is provided in the leg receptacle (42), which stop shoulder (50) fixes the bolt influencing position (50 in Figs. 8 and 9) of the bolt control member (46).
  10. A shackle-type lock according to any one of claims 4 to 9, characterized in that a locking cylinder (20) is arranged, as a bolt withdrawal mechanism, in the lock body (10) between the two leg receptacles (42) with an axis (A) approximately parallel with the leg end portions (40), in that two locking bolts (32) associated with each of the two leg end portions (40) are guided in a guide plane approximately perpendicular to the leg end portions (40) and substantially parallel with the shackle plane (B) in guides (30) staggered with respect to each other perpendicularly to the shackle plane (B), in that the engagement surfaces (48) of the leg end portions (40) are arranged on opposite sides of the shackle plane (B) and in that the racks (34) are engaged with the pinion (28) at diametrically opposed points of the pinion (28).
  11. A shackle-type lock according to claim 10, characterized in that the racks (34) are mounted axially displacedly on the locking bolts (32) and in that the return means (36) are formed of at least one helical compression spring (36), said means being supported at one side on ends of the locking bolt (32) facing the lock cylinder (20) and at the other end on abutments (38) near the lock cylinder and fixed to the lock housing.
  12. A shackle-type lock according to any one of claims 1 - 11, characterized in that the lock body (10) consists of two partial bodies (16) abutting in a central lock body plane (A) perpendicular to the shackle plane (B) and parallel with the leg end portions (40), which partial bodies (16) each comprise a leg receptacle (42), a locking bolt guide (30) and half of a receptacle (60) for the bolt withdrawal mechanism (20), for example a lock cylinder (20).
  13. A shackle-type lock according to claim 12, characterized in that the partial bodies (16) are of like form and are assembled in positions displaced by 180° with respect to each other and with respect to the locking cylinder axis (C).
  14. A shackle-type lock according to claim 13, characterized in that the partial bodies (16) are accommodated by a partial body enclosing housing (12, 14).
  15. A shackle-type lock according to claim 14, characterized in that the partial body enclosing housing (12, 14) is formed of a U-shaped basic housing (12), whose web wall (12a) is arranged perpendicularly to the leg end portions (40) at the one side face of the partial bodies (16) into which the leg receptacles (42) open, and whose leg walls (12b) adjoin side faces of the partial bodies (16) parallel with the shackle plane (B), and in that this basic housing (12) is closed by a base plate (14).
  16. A shackle-type lock according to either one of claims 14 and 15, characterized in that the partial bodies (16) consist of zinc diecast material and the partial body enclosing housing (12, 14) consists of sheet steel.
  17. A shackle-type lock according to any one of claims 1 - 16, characterized in that the lock body (10) is accommodated in a covering housing (52, 52') of plastics material,
    in that the covering housing (52, 52') is divided approximately along the shackle plane (B),
    and in that the parts (52, 52') of the covering housing are of like form and displaced with respect to each other by 180° with respect to a central lock axis (A) parallel with the leg end portions (40), each partial housing (52, 52') comprising a passage eyelet (62, 63, 62', 63') for a shackle end portion (40) and the passage eyelets (62, 63, 62', 63') on each partial housing (52, 52') being displaced with respect to each other by their wall thickness in the longitudinal direction of the shackle end portions (40),
    or in that the covering housing (54, 54') is divided in a central plane (A) perpendicular to the shackle plane (B) and parallel with the leg end portions (40) and the housing halves (54, 54') are connected together by a lap joint.
