An die Rasterwalze an- und abstellbar sind eine oder mehrere Farbauftragsleisten angeordnet. An den Farbauftragsleisten sind ein oberes Rakelmesser und ein unteres Abstreifmesser befestigt. In angestellem Zustand liegen das Rakelmesser und das Abstreifmesser an einer Mantelfläche der Rasterwalze an. Die Farbauftragsleiste ist mit einer der Mantelfläche gegenüberliegenden, sich über die gesamte Länge der Farbauftragsleiste erstreckenden Ausnehmung versehen. Diese Ausnehmung steht über eine Durchgangsbohrung mit einer Farbzuführeinrichtung in Verbindung. Die Rasterwalze färbt die Druckplatten auf Kunststoffbasis, z. B. Claims (2)

Method of substantially preventing the clogging of screen surfaces of a printing plate, inked with water-based inks, of a web-fed rotary printing machine for printing a print carrier, preferably of paper, characterized in that water-based ink is continuously supplied to an inking unit at a preselectable temperature between 9 and 14 degrees Celsius, in that the unconsumed water-based ink is continuously conveyed away from the inking unit, and in that the surface temperature of the screen roller of the inking unit is kept constant at a temperature which is preselectable between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius.
  2.
