Definitions
- the invention relates to a straight connector for hollow spacing profiles of a multi-pane insulating glass, with a flat, elongated body, the cross section of which is adapted to the cavity cross section of the two spacing profiles to be connected in a straight line, and which consists of two parts, one of which is part of a spacing profile and the other part can be inserted into the other spacer profile and the surfaces of which are provided with at least two spring bodies which can be brought into frictional contact with the inner walls of the spacer profiles.
- a known straight connector of the type mentioned (DE-OS 28 09 822) arc-shaped, outwardly curved strips of material are used as the spring body, which extend in the longitudinal direction of the body of the straight connector and are inseparably connected at both ends to the sides of the body.
- the insertion of the straight connector into the profile cavity is only about halfway ben length of the body can take place, i.e. only one part can be inserted into one of the distance profiles, while the other part of the body is available for the other distance profile, a stop is attached to the body, which is in the middle of the body length is located and is formed as a rib extending around its circumference, which can be brought into contact with the opposite end faces of the spacer profiles.
- this rib can also be a cuboid center body, which at the same time serves as a stop and a spacer for the end faces of the two spacer profiles to be connected by the straight connector.
- a disadvantage of this construction is that the spring body to be provided on the side or on the surface of the straight connector and the stop rib or the middle body serving as a stop require a considerable use of tool costs and also use in production technology, since they complicate the construction of the straight connector.

- the latter occurs to an extent that corresponds approximately to the wall thickness of the spacer profiles 4, 5 at least at their front, mutually facing front ends 15, 16.
- the spring bodies 6, 7 fulfill a double function, namely that of a locking body, in that they act with the inner walls of the spacer le 4, 5 come into frictional contact, as can be seen in the illustration of FIG. 3 on the right, and on the other hand with their front end sections 13, 14 form a stop for the front ends 15, 16 of the spacer profiles against which these ends abut when the spacer profiles are pushed onto the straight connector or this is inserted into the cavity 17, 18 thereof.
- This stop function is also shown in FIG. 3 for the right spacing profile 4.
- the spring bodies 6, 7 are of the same length and width and the same distance from the opposite ends 11, 12 of the straight connector 1. Their front ends 13, 14, which face each other, as can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, have a distance of only about 1 mm.
- the spacing profile 5 to be pushed onto the straight connector 1 from the left can no longer abut the spring body 6, because this is already in the surface 8 or the cavity 19 the water surface from the right-hand spacer profile 4 is pressed.
- the front end 15 of the spacer profile 4 itself then serves as a stop for the left spacer profile 5 to be pushed on.
- spring bodies 6, 7 instead of only two spring bodies 6, 7, a plurality of such bodies can be arranged on the surface of the straight connector, although this is not shown in the drawing.
- spring bodies of the type described can sit on all four sides of this rectangle, the width of which would then be adapted to the dimensions of the rectangular sides.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a straight connector for hollow spacing profiles of a multi-pane insulating glass, with a flat, elongated body, the cross section of which is adapted to the cavity cross section of the two spacing profiles to be connected in a straight line, and which consists of two parts, one of which is part of a spacing profile and the other part can be inserted into the other spacer profile and the surfaces of which are provided with at least two spring bodies which can be brought into frictional contact with the inner walls of the spacer profiles.
In a known straight connector of the type mentioned (DE-OS 28 09 822) arc-shaped, outwardly curved strips of material are used as the spring body, which extend in the longitudinal direction of the body of the straight connector and are inseparably connected at both ends to the sides of the body. The insertion of the straight connector into the profile cavity is only about halfway ben length of the body can take place, i.e. only one part can be inserted into one of the distance profiles, while the other part of the body is available for the other distance profile, a stop is attached to the body, which is in the middle of the body length is located and is formed as a rib extending around its circumference, which can be brought into contact with the opposite end faces of the spacer profiles. In the known construction, this rib can also be a cuboid center body, which at the same time serves as a stop and a spacer for the end faces of the two spacer profiles to be connected by the straight connector.
A disadvantage of this construction is that the spring body to be provided on the side or on the surface of the straight connector and the stop rib or the middle body serving as a stop require a considerable use of tool costs and also use in production technology, since they complicate the construction of the straight connector.
The object of the invention is therefore to simplify the straight connector of the type mentioned. According to the innovation, this is done in that the two spring bodies are designed as stop springs and form tongues which protrude from the surface and which at their rear end sections pointing towards the opposite ends of the straight connector merge smoothly into the surface and with their front ends towards the center of the straight connector Pointing end sections rise above the surface to an extent that corresponds approximately to the wall thickness of the spacer profiles at least at their front, mutually facing front ends, and that the spring body when inserting the straight connector into the cavity of the respective spacer profile from the front ends of these spacer profiles on the one hand in the surface of the straight connector can be pushed in elastically and, on the other hand, serve with their front ends as an insertion stop for the spacing profile which abuts the tongue of the spring body in question, which tongue rises above the surface.
This construction combines the spring system of the straight connector with the stop system, since each of the at least two springs serves as a stop at the same time, by preventing the straight connector from being inserted too far when inserted into the cavity of the respective spacing profile or by being in contact with one End protrudes from the surface of the straight connector, makes it possible that the spacing profile advancing against it strikes against it with its front end.
Advantageous refinements of the innovation are characterized in the subclaims.
- Fig. 1 eine längsgeschnittene Seitenansicht des neuerungsgemäßen Geradverbinders,
- 1 is a longitudinal sectional side view of the straight connector according to the innovation,
- Fig. 2 is a plan view of the straight connector of Fig. 1, and
- Fig. 3 is a longitudinally sectioned side view similar to that of Fig. 1, wherein on both sides a portion of the spacer profiles is also longitudinally sectioned, shown fully or partially pushed onto the straight connector.
The straight connector 1 shown in Fig. 1 consists of a known plastic material and has a right angular cross-section, which is otherwise adapted to the cavity profile of the
The straight connector consists of two
In this way, the
The
It goes without saying that instead of only two
