Description

The invention relates to a double-joint hinge according to the preamble of the preceding patent claim 1.

Such a double-joint hinge is known from DE-Gbm 8429357. At least two double-jointed hinges of this type are provided at an axial distance from one another for the articulation of a hinged door to the structure of a commercial vehicle.

A disadvantage of the known double-joint hinges is that the manufacturing and assembly costs are relatively high because of the total number of double-joint hinges required to link a wing door. Furthermore, the known double-joint hinges have the disadvantage that they do not allow the gullwing door to be guided exactly when it is opened, so that it sags during the opening process. Due to unavoidable wear and tear over a long period of use, the door sags more and more when it is opened, which leads to excessive wear of the hinge components.

The invention was based on the object of developing the generic double-joint hinge in such a way that a single, few parts double-joint hinge per wing door is sufficient for permanent articulation of the door on the wall, the sagging of the door being avoided when opening.

The object is achieved according to the invention in a generic hinge in that it is changed by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1 above.

Further developments of the hinge according to the invention result from the preceding subclaims.

A double-joint hinge according to the invention, as shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, has a first hinge part 1 and a second hinge part 2, which is connected to the first hinge part 1 in an articulated manner by two connecting elements 3, 4 arranged at an axial distance from one another is. When installed, the first hinge part is attached to a wing door 5 of a commercial vehicle body. The wing door 5 is shown broken away in Figure 2. In the installed state, the second hinge part is fastened to a fixed wall 6 of the commercial vehicle body, which in the example shown is a stanchion 7, on which a U-profile 8 is fastened on one side with ends of the legs bent inwards. The second hinge part 2 is fastened to the U-profile 8, which represents a side edge of the fixed wall 6.

In the closed position of the wing door 5, in which it runs at right angles to the fixed wall 6, the two hinge parts 1 and 2 also form a right angle to one another. The wing door 5 can be opened by 270 ° to the fixed wall 6, so that in the open position it runs parallel to the fixed wall 6 on the outside thereof. When the wing door 5 is opened, the first hinge part 1 is first pivoted relative to the connecting members 3 and 4 about a first axis of rotation 9 passing through the center through one end of the connecting members 3, 4. After a rotation of about 90 ° about the first axis of rotation 9, the first hinge part 1 takes the connecting links 3, 4 along with the further pivoting movement into the open position of the door 5, the connecting links 3, 4 moving around a second one through the other end of the Turn links 3, 4 rotating axis of rotation 10. The rotational movement of the connecting members 3, 4 about the second axis of rotation 10 is approximately 180 °, based on the second hinge part 2. This is the first hinge part 1 together with the wing door 5 by about 270 ° about the second hinge part 2 and the wall 6.

Each hinge part 1, 2 consists of an elongated piece of a light metal profile, preferably an aluminum profile. As can be seen from FIG. 2, each hinge part 1, 2 has an essentially U-shaped cross section with two parallel legs 11 pointing away from the respective axis of rotation 9 and 10 and an end part 12 connecting the two legs 11, but this is much thicker than the leg 11 is. In the installed state, as shown in FIG. 2, the first hinge part 1 engages around a side edge of the hinged door 5, the side edge of the hinged door 5 lying between the two legs 11 of the hinge part 1 and fastening means (not shown) on the legs 11 of the first hinge part 1 engage in a groove 39 and on the side edge of the wing door 5 lying between them in order to fasten the first hinge part 1 to the wing door 5. The second hinge part 2 engages around a side edge of the fixed wall 6, this side edge being formed by the U-profile 8 fastened to the stanchion 7 and lying between the two legs 11 of the second hinge part 2 and fastening means, not shown, on the legs 11 of the second hinge part 2 engage in a groove 39 and on the U-profile 8 in order to attach the second hinge part 2 to the fixed wall 6.

The hinge parts 1 and 2 are of equal length, their length corresponding to the height of the wing door 5 and the hinge parts 1 and 2 are arranged with respect to the wing door 5 so that their ends are flush with the top and bottom of the door 5.

In the end part 12 of each hinge part 1, 2 there is a cylindrical recess 13 which extends over the entire length of the respective hinge part 1, 2, the axis of the recess 13 coinciding with the respective axis of rotation 9, 10. The respective end of the corresponding connecting member 3, 4 is rotatably mounted in each recess 13, as is described in more detail below. In the wall delimiting the recess 13, a slot 14 is provided for each hinge part 1, 2 and extends over its entire length and extends in the radial direction through the wall delimiting the recess 13 to the outside. The slot 14 of the first hinge part 1 is arranged with respect to a plane in which the two axes of rotation 9 and 10 are in the closed position of the hinged door so that its plane of symmetry forms an angle of 45 ° with the plane of the two axes of rotation 9 and 10 and the slot 14 of the first hinge part 1 lies in the closed position of the hinged door on the side of the hinge part 1 facing away from the interior of the commercial vehicle body. In contrast, the slot 14 of the second hinge part 2 is arranged with respect to the plane of the two axes of rotation 9 and 10 so that its plane of symmetry forms a right angle with the plane of the two axes of rotation 9 and 10. The width of the slots 14 is dimensioned such that the webs 15 (FIG. 3) connecting the ends of the connecting links can be passed through when the double-joint hinge is assembled.

The outside of the end part 12 of the first hinge part 1 is of circular cross-section in the area which moves past the second hinge part 2 when the first hinge part rotates around the connecting members 3, 4. The circular-arc-shaped area of the outside of the end part 12 of the first hinge part 1 is thus in the closed position of the wing door 5 on the side of the hinge part 1 facing away from the interior of the commercial vehicle body and extends over an arc angle of 90 °. The outside of the end part 12 of the second hinge part 2 is likewise designed in the form of a circular arc in cross-section in the area around which the first hinge part 1 moves when the connecting members 3, 4 rotate relative to the second hinge part 2. The Arc-shaped area of the outside of the end part 12 of the second hinge part 2 extends over an arc angle of 180 °. The circular arc shape of the outside of the end part 12 of the respective hinge part 1, 2 makes it possible to make the distance between the two axes of rotation 9 and 10, and thus the length of the connecting members 3, 4, extremely small.

The ends of each connecting link 3, 4 are formed by two parallel rod-shaped parts 16, 17 with a circular cross section. The two rod-shaped parts 16, 17 are connected to one another by two webs 15 which are arranged at a distance from one another and over which the ends of the rod-shaped parts project in the axial direction, as a result of which the ends of the rod-shaped parts 16, 17 can be referred to as pins, of which two each point in opposite directions. The rod-shaped parts 16, 17 are rotatably supported with their ends referred to as pins and in the area between the two webs 15 in the respective recess 13 of the corresponding hinge part 1, 2. Each connecting member 3, 4 is axially supported by support rods 18 fixedly arranged in each recess 13 of the respective hinge part 1, 2. The support rods 18, like the rod-shaped parts 16, 17, are of cylindrical design with the same diameter and are arranged in each recess 13 between the connecting links 3 and 4 and between the connecting link 3 and the adjacent end of the hinge parts and between the connecting link 4 and the adjacent end of the hinge parts . Bearing disks 19 are arranged between the respectively opposite ends of the rod-shaped parts 16, 17 of the connecting members 3, 4 and the support rods 18. The support rods 18 are non-rotatably and axially immovably connected to the respective hinge part 1, 2.

Die Länge der Wandausschnitte 20 ist im wesentlichen gleich der Breite der Stege 15 der Verbindungsglieder 3, 4.The wall of the end part 12 of the first hinge part 1 delimiting the recess 13 is cut out in the region of the webs 15 of the connecting members 3, 4. The wall cutouts 20 of the first hinge part 1 have an arc angle of 90 ° and a length which is substantially equal to the width of the webs 15 of the connecting members 3, 4. The wall of the end part 12 of the second hinge part 2 delimiting the recess 13 is likewise cut out in the region of the webs of the connecting links 3, 4, but the wall cutouts 21 of the second hinge part 2 have an arc angle of 180 °. The length of the wall cutouts 20 is essentially equal to the width of the webs 15 of the connecting members 3, 4.

The inside of the webs 15 of the connecting links 3, 4 facing the interior of the commercial vehicle body in the closed position of the wing door 5 has a pair of first stop faces 22, 23 lying next to one another in the longitudinal direction of the respective connecting link 3, 4, of which the stop face 22 on a first stop face 24 of the second hinge part 2 and of which the stop surface 23 bears on a first stop surface 25 of the first hinge part 1 in the closed position of the wing door 5, as can be seen in FIG. 3. This abutment of the abutment surfaces 22 and 23 on the abutment surfaces 24 and 25 is necessary in order to prevent the closed double door from shifting in time. When the wing door 5 is closed, the first stop surfaces 23 of the connecting members 3, 4 and the first stop surfaces 25 of the first hinge part 1 are already in contact, as a result of which the connecting members 3, 4 are carried along by the first hinge part 1 when the door 5 is closed. Each first stop surface 25 of the first hinge part is formed by a longitudinal edge of the respective wall section 20.

Each first stop surface 24 of the second hinge part 2 is formed by a longitudinal edge of the respective wall section 21. The other longitudinal edge of the respective wall section 20 forms a second stop surface 26 rotated by 90 ° with respect to the first stop surface 25, the second stop surface being formed on the outside of the respective web 27 comes into contact when the wing door 5 is opened. If the second stop surfaces 26 of the first hinge part are in contact with the second stop surfaces 27 of the connecting members 3, 4, when the wing door 5 is opened, the connecting members 3, 4 are carried along by the first hinge part 1 during the further movement into the open position.

The other longitudinal edge of the respective wall section 21 of the second hinge part 2 forms a second stop surface 28 lying in the same plane as the first stop surface 24, against which a further second stop surface 29 of the connecting members 3, 4 abuts in the open position of the hinged door 5. The second stop surfaces 27 and 29 represent a pair of stop surfaces lying next to one another in the longitudinal direction of the respective connecting member 3, 4, both of which are formed on the outside of the respective web 14.

The axially facing boundary surfaces of the wall cutouts 20 and 21 represent bearing surfaces with which the webs 15 of the connecting members 3, 4 are in contact in the closed position and in the open position of the door 5 and over the part of the pivoting movement which is not in the area of the slots 14 is. As a result, each connecting member 3, 4 is axially supported not only at the ends of the rod-shaped parts 16, 17, but also at the webs 15.

The double-joint hinge shown in section in FIG. 2 is equipped with a customs lock, which is formed by a projection 30 running along the entire length of the first hinge part 1 with a convexly curved outer surface and a groove 31 running along the entire length of the second hinge part 2 with a concave curved wall is, with the projection 30 engages in the groove 31 in the closed position of the wing door 5. An inwardly widening groove 32 is provided in the projection. Between the concave curved wall of the groove 31 and the convex curved A spacing approximately corresponding to the width of the groove 32 is provided on the outer surface of the projection 30. The projection 30, the groove 31 and the groove 32 together form a labyrinth in the closed position of the hinged door, which prevents 5 objects, such as a wire, from being inserted or pulled out between the two hinge parts 1 and 2 in the closed position of the hinged door .

According to FIG. 3, the customs security can be supplemented by a seal which is formed by a sealing strip 33 which extends over the entire length of the hinge parts 1, 2 and which has a mushroom-shaped cross section with a foot 34 widening towards its end and a convexly curved outer surface having head 35. The foot 34 of the sealing strip 33 is arranged in the groove 32, which is formed in the first hinge part 1. The convexly curved outer surface of the head 35 of the sealing strip 33 lies against the concavely curved wall of the groove 31, which is formed in the second hinge part 2, in the closed position of the hinged door 5. The inner surface of the head 35 of the sealing strip 33 has a concave shape and lies against the convexly curved outer surface of the projection 30.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, a sealing strip 33 with a mushroom-shaped cross section is fastened to the second hinge part 2 by the foot 34, which widens towards its end, being arranged in the inwardly widening groove 32 which is formed in the second hinge part 2. The convexly curved outer surface of the head 35 of the sealing strip 33 engages in the closed position of the wing door 5 in the concavely curved wall of the groove 31, which is formed in the first hinge part 1. The inside of the end part 12 of the first hinge part 1 is set back from the outer surface of the inner leg 11. Likewise, the inside of the end part 11 of the second hinge part 2 is set back from the outer surface of the inner leg 11 of the second hinge part 2. This results in between the inside of the end part 12 of the second hinge part 2 and the outer surface of the inner leg 11 of the second hinge part a step 36 which, like the labyrinth formed in the embodiments according to FIGS. 2 and 3, has the effect that between the two hinge parts 1 and 2 in no object can be inserted or pulled out in the closed position.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 5, the ends of the rod-shaped parts 16 and 17 of the connecting members 3 and 4 formed as pins are fixedly arranged in bearing bushes 37 which are rotatably mounted in the respective recess 13 of the corresponding hinge part 1, 2. Also between the two webs 15 of the respective connecting member 3, 4, a bearing bush 37 is arranged around this section of the rod-shaped part 17, 18 and can be rotated in the recess 13.

In the embodiments shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, two channels 38 extending in the axial direction are arranged in each recess 13 of the respective hinge part 1, 2 and are open towards the recess 13. The channels 38 are used to store and supply lubricant to the bearing points between the connecting members 3, 4 and the hinge parts 1, 2. These bearing points can also be cleaned, if necessary, via the channels 38.
