Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a toy component with a connecting pin according to the preamble of the main claim.
From DE-OS 20 56 230 a toy building element is known, which is a building block of a toy building set. This known toy component has a connecting pin on one end face, which can be inserted into a substantially rectangular opening of an adjacent component and can be locked by turning through 90 °. The toy component itself likewise has openings of this type on two longitudinal sides, into which a connecting pin can be inserted. The connecting pin has at its protruding end two mutually opposite projections which secure the connecting pin against slipping out of the opening after insertion into an elongated opening and after being rotated through 90 °.
The shaft length up to the base of the projections can be slightly smaller than the wall thickness of the adjacent component to be connected in the region of its opening in order to achieve a certain clamping effect. Such a clamping effect can be obtained in particular in the case of plastic toy building blocks due to its elasticity, but this clamping effect often represents insufficient protection against unintentional twisting.
The invention has for its object to provide an anti-rotation device for toy components in the area of the connecting pin.
The solution to this problem is obtained in a toy component of the type mentioned by the features specified in the characterizing part of the main claim. A protrusion against rotation is obtained by a protrusion slightly protruding on the outer surface next to the connecting pin, which can be detachably latched into the opening of an adjacent component. The elongated openings are namely on Shaft, which has a substantially circular cross section, laterally over, so that after the connecting pin is rotated by 90 °, the elevation engages in the protruding or free part of the opening. The elevation is preferably designed as a surface whose shape is adapted to the projecting opening part. The elevation thus fits exactly into the free opening part and thus forms a correspondingly precise anti-rotation device.
The elevations are preferably raised surfaces arranged symmetrically on both sides of the shaft, but other elevations are also suitable. A good anti-twist protection was achieved with raised surfaces that protruded 0.2 to 0.4 mm from the outer surface.
The projections, which give the connecting pin a T-shape, preferably merge into the shaft over an inclined surface. The inclined surface has the advantage that the desired clamping effect between the connecting pin and the adjacent component occurs at the base of the inclined surface and thus existing manufacturing tolerances are less problematic with regard to the clamping forces that occur.
Advantageous developments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.
The invention is explained below with reference to the drawing.
