Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum selektiven, bereichsweisen Beschichten einer transparenten, ggf. aus klaren Acrylglas bestehenden Trägerplatte mit einer insbesondere metallischen Prägefolienbeschichtung, bei dem auf die Trägerplatte zunächst im Siebdruckverfahren eine Abdeckfolie aufgebracht wird, welche lediglich die nicht zu beschichtenden Bereiche der Trägerplatte abdeckt, daraufhin im Rollenprägeverfahren die Prägefolie auf die gesamte die Abdeckfolie tragende Fläche der Trägerplatte aufgebracht wird, daraufhin die Abdeckfolie von der Trägerplatte abgezogen wird, und im Siebdruckverfahren auf die Trägerplatte eine die mittels der Prägefolienbeschichtung bewirkte Farbgebung unterstützende Farbschicht aufgebracht wird.The invention relates to a method for the selective, area-wise coating of a transparent carrier plate, which may consist of clear acrylic glass, with a metallic stamping foil coating in particular, in which a cover film is first applied to the carrier plate in a screen printing process, which only covers the areas of the carrier plate which are not to be coated, then use the roll embossing process to stamp the entire foil the cover sheet-carrying surface of the carrier plate is applied, then the cover sheet is pulled off the carrier plate, and a screen coating process is used to support the color layer provided by the embossing film coating.

Der Erfindung liegt die überraschende Erkenntnis zugrunde, daß es gelingt, das gattungsgemäße Verfahren noch dadurch zu verbessern, daß die Farbschicht auf die die Prägefolienbeschichtung tragende Beschichtungsseite der Trägerplatte aufgebracht wird. Dies kann entweder die Vorderseite, aber auch die Rückseite der Trägerplatte sein. Der Herstellungsaufwand läßt sich in beiden Ausführungsformen deutlich senken, wobei hinsichtlich der Witterungsbeständigkeit insbesondere Vorteile erzielt werden, wenn die gesamte Beschichtung, vorzugsweise auch unter Verwendung einer Konterfolie, auf die Rückseite der Trägerplatte aufgebracht wird, da dann ja nur die Vorderseite den Witterungseinflüssen ausgesetzt ist, die jedoch keine Beschichtung trägt.The invention is based on the surprising finding that it is possible to improve the generic method still further by placing the color layer on the layer bearing the embossing film Coating side of the carrier plate is applied.
