The uppermost layer (in the drawing) of the hot stamping foils of the embodiments in each case forms an only partially applied adhesive layer 7, the adhesive layer 7 is provided substantially only in the areas where decorative or security elements, that in the illustrated embodiments, the spatial structures 4 , available.

The adhesive layer 7 is usually applied in a layer thickness from 3.0 to 10.0 microns, preferably from 4.0 to 6.0 microns.

The individual exemplary embodiments, of which in practice, the embodiment of Figure 3 is likely to have the greatest importance, differ mainly by the different mounting areas of resist layer 3 and the release layer. 2

In the embodiment of Figure 1, the release layer 2 is provided only in some areas, in the areas in which the spatial structure 4 to form the Dekorations¬ or securing elements of the resist layer 3 and the adhesive layer are provided. 7 Here, Figure 1 shows that the release layer 2 by an amount a which should be at least 0.2 mm, on all sides projects beyond the spatial structure 4 and the adhesive layer. 7

The production of the hot-stamping foil according to the embodiments is carried out in such a manner per se known from the production of hot-stamping foils manner that the release layer 2 and the protective lacquer layer 3 are applied in a printing process in an appropriate layer thickness and distribution on the support film. 1 The protective lacquer layer 3 is either thermoplastic or consists of a lacquer which hardens completely only under the influence of certain radiation or after a certain time after crosslinking. 2. Stamping foil according to claim 1, characterized in that between the carrier film (1) and transfer layer (8) has a release layer (2) is provided.

7. Stamping foil according to claim 6, characterized in that the spatial structure (4) comprising side (5) the protective lacquer layer (3) has a coating (6) whose optical properties are different from those of the protective lacquer layer (3).
8. Stamping foil according to claim 6 or 7, characterized in that the coating (6) of a reflecting material, preferably metal is formed.
9. Stamping foil according to one of claims 6 to 8, characterized in that the coating (6) is provided over the entire surface.
10. Stamping foil according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the protective lacquer layer (3) and / or the
