Description

The invention relates to a holding device for an inlet valve in a cistern, in particular in a ceramic one.

Ceramic cistern bodies have an average lifespan that is significantly longer than that of the inlet valves built into them. Since the inlet valve is usually molded onto the float housing in this type of cistern, this had to be replaced together with the drain valve in the event of a repair. If the suitable fitting was missing, the entire cistern often had to be replaced. Since a ceramic cistern body usually lacks a suitable opening for attaching a single inlet valve, the new one was Inlet valve sometimes temporarily glued to the box wall. When it comes to repairs to ceramic cisterns, there is generally the difficulty that they occur in very many and very different versions.

The invention has for its object to provide a device of the type mentioned, which avoids these disadvantages. In the event of a defective inlet valve, the device should make it possible to carry out a permanent and cost-effective repair without great assembly effort in essentially any configuration of the box body. The device should also be inexpensive to manufacture from plastic. The object is achieved by the invention according to claim 1.

In most cases, the holder is attached to the bottom of the box body where the line leading to the inlet valve leads through the box bottom. In the case of a box body with an opening in the side wall, the holder can also be attached there. In both cases, thanks to the mobility of the carrier, the inlet valve can be arranged at a suitable location without obstructing the drain valve. The previous drain valve can remain in the box, only the defective inlet valve having to be removed.

According to a development of the invention, at least one Link of the carrier on an opening through which the connecting piece of the inlet valve is inserted for its attachment. For example, the connector is attached to the link by means of a nut. This creates a stable, yet detachable connection in a structurally simple manner. Further advantageous developments result from the remaining dependent claims.

As shown in FIG. 1 a, an opening 2 is arranged on the bottom 1 of a ceramic cistern body, through which the threaded connector 5 of a hose piece 3 is inserted and fixed by means of a nut 4. On the inside of the base 1, the threaded connector 5 engages through an opening 6 in a foot 7 of a holder 8 extending parallel to the base 1 and fixes it with a flange 9 attached to the threaded connector 5. The holder 8 extends vertically from the base 1 above and has at the upper end a pin 10 on which a member 12 of a carrier 24 is pivotally mounted.

The carrier 24 consists of a plurality of plate-shaped and articulated members 11, 12, 13, one end member 12 being pivotally mounted on the holder 8 and the inlet valve 14 shown only schematically being attached to the other end member 13. One end of the connecting hose 3 is screwed onto a threaded connector 16 of the inlet valve 14. Through the connection hose 3 is fed to the cistern via the inlet valve 14 water. The links 11, 12 and 13 are preferably identical and made of plastic.

Jedes Glied 11, 12 bzw. Each link 11, 12 or 13 has an opening 15 through which the threaded connector 16 can be inserted as shown in FIG. 1 a and fixed with a nut 17. The threaded connector 16 has a square cross section in the area lying in the opening 15 and is dimensioned such that the threaded connector 16 cannot rotate in the rectangular opening 15. The opening 15 is preferably made wider than it is wide, so that the socket 16 with the inlet valve 14 can be moved in the vertical direction after the nut 17 has been loosened.

As shown in FIGS. 3a and 3b, the links 11, 12 and 13 have two perforated bearings 19 and 20 which run parallel to one another and a molded-on journal 21. 1 and 2 show, with the exception of the end member 13, each journal 21 is rotatably supported in the bearing 19 of the next member 11 and 12, respectively. The pin 10 of the holder 8 is inserted into the hole bearing 19 of the end member 12. The links 11 can also, as shown in Fig. 1a, stepwise are arranged, here the pins 21 each engage in a hole bearing 20. This gradual arrangement of the members 11 makes it possible to arrange the inlet valve 14 higher than the pin 10. The number of links 11 depends essentially on the distance that the inlet valve 14 should take in the intended position from the holder 8. In the limit case, an end member 12 is sufficient, on which the inlet valve 14 is then attached directly.

So that the links 11, 12 and 13 can no longer move against one another and with respect to the holder 8 in the arrangement provided, teeth 22 are formed on the pins 21 and 10, which engage in corresponding gaps 23 in the bearings 19 and 20, respectively. In this way, essentially any horizontal course of the carrier 24 can be set up and fixed, the configuration shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 being only an example. In any case, the links can be stretched as shown in FIG. 1a or arranged in steps according to FIG. 1b. This makes it possible to keep the inlet valve 14 in its optimal position. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3b, the links 11, 12 and 13 each have a projecting tooth 33 at one end and at the same height and at the other end a corresponding groove 34. A corresponding groove can also be provided on the holder 8. In the assembled state, a tooth 33 of one link engages in the groove of another link, whereby the support 24 is additionally stabilized.

If an unused opening 26 is present in a side wall 25 of the box body, the carrier 24 can be fastened to the holder 27 shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. This holder 27 engages with an integrally formed pin 28 with an internal thread 30 in the opening 26 and is fixed to the box wall 25 with a cap screw 31 screwed in from the outside. On the holder 27 a vertically upwardly projecting journal 32 is formed, which corresponds entirely to the journal 10. The holder 27 also has a groove 36 into which the tooth 33 of the end member 12 engages. It has been shown that the holding device is sufficiently stable even if it is made entirely of plastic.

Despite the considerable advantages of the holding device according to the invention, it can be realized with a few, simple, yet robust plastic components, so that a holding device was created according to the invention, which not only takes the sanitary requirements into account in an excellent manner, but is also inexpensive due to its workability in plastic and extremely reliable in use.
