Description

The invention relates to a belt conveyor device according to the preamble of independent patent claim 1.

In the prior art, EP-A-0005766 discloses a belt conveyor device which has two uniformly driven conveyor belts which are arranged in parallel next to one another and with which the distance between laterally offset longitudinal conveyor devices is bridged. Only a product flow can be conveyed with this belt conveyor device. This device is also not suitable for conveying products with different formats and in particular the usual widths of 150 mm to 500 mm. Rather, this device is limited to a few formats. With this known device, there is also the risk that, in certain formats, the products may become jammed at the transfer points and the system may be blocked and damaged.

The belt conveyor device according to DE-A-27 21 138 is driven by drive rollers which are connected to belt rollers. These rollers are driven by the subsequent belt conveyor elements via intermediate shafts and drive belts. Here, too, both conveyor belts connected to each other can only be pivoted parallel to one another. Although the two pairs of bans can be swiveled independently of one another, they cannot be folded together without the need for extensive conversion to convey very wide print products.

The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a belt conveyor device of the type mentioned at the outset, with which one or two product streams can optionally be conveyed further, the products being essentially all of them can have the usual formats and the risk of blocking the system is lower.

The object is achieved by the invention according to claim 1. For products with a very large format, a belt group with, for example, four conveyor belts can be put together. Since there are more conveyor belts than previously with regard to the format width, the risk is significantly lower that a product is jammed at a transfer point and the storage is blocked. Correspondingly fewer tapes are used for products with smaller format widths. If two shingled streams deposited, for example, by a folder are to be conveyed, the two belt groups are arranged in a V-shape, each belt group having the number of belts which is suitable for the width of the respective shingled stream. It is essential that the directions of the front edges of the products do not change in both shingled streams and thus the lateral displacements of the downstream shingled streams can be precisely adjusted and adjusted by pivoting the conveyor belts.

The invention makes it possible to arrange the individual conveyor belts close to one another and even together with a larger number of conveyor belts to drive. The now possible short distance between the conveyor belts has the essential advantage that two scale streams can also be conveyed without interference if the distance between them is very small. A common drive works with cardan shafts with which the conveyor belts are coupled. So that the cardan shafts have the necessary length, they are attached between two feeders provided in the region of the flanks of the conveying members facing away from each other. In principle, such an arrangement of feeders would not be possible with three conveyor belts. The development according to claim 2, however, can be implemented in a structurally simple manner, a belt conveyor device with eight or more comparatively narrow and closely spaced conveyor belts that can be pivoted up to 25 degrees or more.

Through the development according to claim 2, it is possible to pivot each band group independently of the other and thus to ensure optimal further conveyance of the product streams in adaptation to the folder and the downstream organs.

According to the further developments according to claims 3 to 5, an inexpensive drive is created due to its simple and robust design, which is also very reliable in operation.

Through the development according to claim 6, it is possible in a structurally simple manner to set each swivel position precisely and continuously at least from -25 degrees to +25 degrees. In addition, a conveyor belt from one belt group can be assigned to the other belt group in a few simple steps.

Through the development according to claim 7, a kind of "waterfall" is formed in the product flow at the entrance and exit of each belt group, which separates the products from one another and improves their lateral displaceability. It has been shown that this measure also further reduces the risk of blocking after a backflow.

  • Fig. 5 eine Schnitt entlang der Linie V - V in Fig. 3.
An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
  • 1 is a plan view of a belt conveyor device according to the invention and schematically a first and two longitudinal conveyor devices,
  • 2 is a side view of the belt conveyor in the direction of arrow II in FIG. 3, but without a side cover,
  • 3 shows a plan view of a part of the belt conveyor device according to the invention,
  • Fig. 4 is a section along the line IV - IV in Fig. 3 and
  • 5 shows a section along the line V - V in FIG. 3.

Der Abstand B (Fig.1) zwischen der Produkten 1 kann auch sehr klein sein.1 has a first group 3 of four conveyor belts 5 and a second group 4 of likewise four conveyor belts 5, which convey two scale flows from a first longitudinal conveyor device 2 to two second longitudinal conveyor devices 8 and 9 in a V-shaped arrangement. The shingled streams are formed by flat products 1, in particular printed products, for example newspapers, which are released by a folder (not shown here). The front edges of the products 1 remain parallel, as shown, and the products 1 are only displaced laterally by an amount A on the conveying members 3 and 4, and are displaced again when they are transferred to the second conveying devices 8 and 9. If large-format and very wide products 1 are conveyed, they are shown as shown on all four or possibly more than four conveyor belts, while for smaller products these rest on fewer, but at least three, conveyor belts 5. The distance B (FIG. 1) between the products 1 can also be very small.

The first group and the second group of the conveying members can be interlocked independently of one another in the conveying plane by means of adjusting devices. Here, each conveyor belt 5 is entangled by its own shaft, which is arranged at the rear end when viewed in the conveying direction. The actuators can be operated on handwheels 12 or 12 'or by motor. The angles of the conveying members 3 and 4 to the conveying direction of the conveying device are infinitely adjustable over a range of at least - 25 to + 25 degrees.

As shown in FIG. 2, the conveying plane of the conveying members 3 and 4 is somewhat lower than that of the longitudinal conveying device 2 and that of the longitudinal conveying device 9 is again arranged somewhat lower. At the transfer points near the deflection rollers 15 and 17, a "waterfall" is thereby formed, which separates the products 1, which are often stuck to one another, and thereby enables the products 1 to be displaced without interference.

The belt groups 3 and 4 each have a plurality of endless conveyor belts 5 which are driven either directly by the folder or by a collected gear motor. An endless, horizontally running roller chain 11 is provided as the drive element, which is driven by a drive 14 and tensioned by means of a chain tensioner 5 and is deflected on a roller 37. Between the drive 14 and the deflection roller 37, the roller chain 11 is in engagement with chain wheels 36 and deflection rollers 33 arranged between them.

As can be seen from FIG. 4, each sprocket 36 is firmly connected to a shaft 32 oriented vertically to the conveying plane, which on the one hand transmits the movement of the roller chain 11 via a gear 34 to the conveyor belt 5 and on the other hand the conveyor belt 5 is pivotably supported and supported . The shaft 32 is supported by two bearings 18 and 41 on two bearing plates 38 and 48 which extend over the entire roller chain 11 and protect them in particular against the ingress of paper dust. Further bearings 40 and 41 of the shaft 32 are inserted into a housing 25 and allow the housing 25 to pivot about the axis of the shaft 32.

Das Band 5 läuft um eine am anderen Ende des Gehäuse 25 angeordnete Umlenkrolle 16 (Fig. 2).In the housing 25 two further bearings 24 are inserted, in which the horizontal shaft 23 of a narrow belt roll 22 is rotatably mounted. The belt roller 22 is driven via a bevel gear 20 which is fixedly connected to the shaft 32 and which meshes with a ring gear 21 which is fixedly connected to the conveyor roller 22. As FIG. 4 further shows, the axis of rotation of the shaft 32 lies outside the center of the conveyor belt 5, which is much narrower than the housing 25. The belt 5 runs around a deflection roller arranged at the other end of the housing 25 16 (Fig. 2).

The actuating device for pivoting the conveying members 3 and 4 each have a spindle 13 or 13 ', which are arranged parallel to one another and perpendicular to the conveying direction and which are each supported and held in the frame 38 at their two ends.

Jede Spindel 13 bzw. 4 einstellen. Each spindle 13 or 13 'can be operated on a handwheel 12 or 12'. The spindles 13 'and 13 engage in each conveyor 3 or 4 that they should adjust, in a threaded bore 26 of a body 31 which is attached by means of a rotary connection 27 on the underside of a body 30. The body 30 is preferably made of plastic and is slidably guided on two plates 43 and 44 and in a slot 46 on two sleeves 45 which are fastened to the housing 25 by means of screws 28 and 29, respectively. Since the body 30 thus rotates about the vertical axis of the rotary bearing 27 and can also be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the housing 25, any inclined position of the corresponding conveying element 3 or 4 can be set without any problems.

The above information thus results in a belt conveyor device which, despite its high variability and adaptability, consists of comparatively few and simple individual parts and which also otherwise satisfies the conveyor requirements to a high degree and which is also extremely reliable in operation.
