Zur Lösung dieser komplexen Aufgabe schlägt die Erfindung jene Maßnahmen vor, die Inhalt und Gegenstand des kennzeichnenden Teiles des Patentanspruches 1 sind. Dank der Kombination dieser Maßnahmen ist die erwähnte Anpassung in großem Umfang möglich, so daß mit der erfindungsgemäßen Einrichtung nicht nur einzelne, dünne Blätter von einem Stapel abgezogen und vereinzelt werden können, sondern auch gefaltete Bögen, die über ihre Breite oder Länge unterschiedliche Stärken aufweisen, weil sie evtl. Einlagen beinhalten, oder auch mehrseitige und gebundene Broschüren, die in Längs- und Querrichtung eine unterschiedliche Steifigkeit aufweisen, bedingt durch die an ihrem Rücken vorgesehene Bindung und deren jeweils obere, während des Durchlaufes durch den konvergierenden Spalt entlang des Leitorganes gleitende Oberfläche dazu neigt, unmittelbar nach dem Passieren dieses Spaltes sich aufzubiegen. Claims (13)

  1. A device for separating folded sheets, in particular sewn booklets from a stack formed by these sheets or booklets, wherein the sheet or the booklet lying at the bottom in the stack in each case can be withdrawn laterally, with at least one essentially horizontal endless conveyor belt (1), a driven ejector roll or roller (4) being arranged at the delivery end of the said conveyor belt (1) and at a distance therefrom, and a freely rotatable pressing roller (13) is arranged above the said ejector roll (4), and a guide member is provided which with the conveyor belt (1) defines a gap (27) converging in the circulating direction of the said conveyor belt (1) above the delivery end of the said conveyor belt (1), and at least the portion of the guide member forming the converging gap (27) is curved, and in particular circular, wherein the guide member is constructed in the form of a separating roll (8) or roller, and one guide plate (7, 14) is arranged in each case between the guide member and the pressing roller (13) on the one hand and between the delivery end of the conveyor belt (1) and the ejector roll (4) on the other hand, and the said two guide plates (7, 14) bound a through duct (24), characterized in that the guide member constructed in the form of a separating roll (8) and the pressing roller (13) are mounted on a support (12) and the said support (12) is in at least two parts, wherein one part (120) comprises the spring-loaded pressing roller (13) and the other part (121) comprises the vertically adjustable separating roll (8), and the separating roll (8) or roller forming the guide member is mounted so as to be rotatable contrary to the circulating direction of the conveying strand of the conveyor belt (1), but the rotatability of the said separating roll (8) or roller is blocked in the other direction, and belts (31) circulating between the separating roll (8) and the pressing roller (13) are provided.
  2. A device according to Claim 1, characterized in that a freewheel (10) is arranged between the separating roll (8) or roller and the shaft (9) supporting it.
  3. A device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the support (12) as a whole is vertically adjustable and is supported by means of a spring (29).
  4. A device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the diameter of the curve of the belt (31), which is guided in the region of the separating roll (8) by way of a reversing roll mounted so as to be freely rotatable on the shaft (9), is smaller in the reversing region of the separating roll (8) than the external diameter of the separating roll (8), and the diameter of the curve of the belt (31) in the reversing region of the pressing roll (13) is the same size as the external diameter of the pressing roll (13).
  5. A device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the separating roll (8) is mounted so as to be vertically displaceable in a resilient manner by means of a spring (30) with respect to the part (121) of the support (12) carrying it.
  6. A device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the part (121) of the two-part support (12) carrying the separating roll (8) is made L-shaped, wherein the separating roll (8) is situated in the apex area of the two arms forming the L-shape, and the horizontal arm of the L-shaped part (121) is mounted so as to be pivotable in a vertical plane about the axis of the pressing roll (13).
  7. A device according to Claim 6, characterized in that a compression spring (32), the pre-stressing of which is adjustable by means of a setting screw (33) traversing it, is provided between the two parts (120, 121) of the support (12).
  8. A device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the rear portion of the conveyor belt (1) is mounted so as to be capable of being raised and lowered.
  9. A device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the conveyor belt (1) is provided with a profiled support face, or a support face with a high coefficient of friction with respect to paper.
  10. A device according to Claim 1, characterized in that at least one light barrier (23) is arranged in the longitudinal median region of the through duct (24) or downstream of the ejector roll (4).
  11. A device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the rolls reversing and/or driving the conveyor belt (1) are provided at their edges with a roll ring, the diameter of which is larger than the reversing diameter of the conveyor belt by a slight amount, or at the side of the rolls driving and/or reversing the conveyor belt (1) the said rolls (3, 3') are arranged with increased diameters, and the said rolls (3, 3') have a support face with a high coefficient of friction with respect to paper.
  12. A device according to Claim 1, characterized in that an ejector roll (4), which is connected to its drive shaft (5) by way of a freewheel (6), is arranged below the spring-loaded pressing roll (13).
  13. A device according to Claim 11, characterized in that the drive shaft (21) carrying the rolls (3, 3') is connected to a drive motor (20) by way of a freewheel (22).
