Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a section member structure of assembly for making window and door frames in general.
  • As is known, there are commercially available several types of aluminium section members which are used for making window and door frames: more specifically, in order to make these frames, several types of different section members must be used with consequent great problems during the assembling operations.
  • Moreover, known section members for the intended uses have a rather poor assembling flexibility, mainly as it is necessary to replace existing window and door frames, which require to carry out complex fitting operations susceptible to greatly increase the installation costs.
  • Another drawback of known section members is that the assembling of several componente elements as well as fittings and the line, such as gaskets, handles, hinges and so on is rather complex and of poor reliability.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Accordingly, the task of the present invention is to overcome the drawbacks thereinabove mentioned, by providing a section member structure or assembly, for making window and door frames, which affords the possibility of easily and quickly making all of the types of required window and door frames, by using a very reduced number of component elements, susceptible to be quickly assembled.
  • Within the scope of the mentioned task, a main object of the present invention is to provide a section member assembly affording the possibility of easily and quickly replacing an existing window or door frame.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide such a section member assembly which is very reliable and safe in operation and which, moreover, can be quickly and easily made starting from easily available materials and elements and which has a competitive making cost.
  • According to one aspect of the present invention, the above task and objects, as well as yet other objects, which will become more apparent hereinafter, are achieved by a section member structure or assembly, for making window and door frames in general, characterized in that it comprises fixed frame section members, consisting of a box-like body, therefrom at least an abutment leg extends, as well as movable frame section members, consisting of a box-like body provided, on a side, with a seat for housing a plate-like element, and at least a seat for coupling a section member adapted to restrain said plate like element and, on the other side, with an abutment leg.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • Further characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent hereinafter from the following detailed description of a preferred, though not exclusive, embodiment of the invention being illustrated, by way of an indicative but not limitative example, in the accompanying drawings, where:
    • Figures 1 to 6 schematically show several possible embodiments of the fixed frame section members according to the invention, specifically designed for the contingent uses;

      and
    • Figure 31 shows a further cross-sectional view taken along the line XXXI-XXXI of Figure 29.
    DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • With reference to the Figures of the accompanying drawings, the section member assembly for making window and door frames in general according to the invention comprises fixed frame section members which, substantially, include a box-like body 1 therefrom at least an abutment leg 2 extends.
