Zur Erzielung einer Pufferwirkung innerhalb der Aufbewahrungsbereiche 201, 202, welche ermöglicht, daß die Bewegungen durch die Schienen im Bereich der Darstellungsebene 208 einerseits und die Schienen im Bereich der Darstellungsebene 209 andererseits nicht genau aufeinander abgestimmt zu sein brauchen, sind die Schautafeln 203 in einem Randbereich mit in Fig. 6b) schematisch dargestellten Federelementen 234, 235 versehen. Gegen die Kraft dieser Federn wird durch die oben erwähnte Drehung der Teilschiene 223 die Schautafel 233 in den Aufbewahrungsbereich 202 geschoben.

An dem umlaufenden Element 251 ist ein Mitnehmer 256 befestigt, der an den Rand der sich im Bereich der Teilschiene 221 befindlichen Schautafel 203 anstößt und diese nach rechts bewegt. Erreicht die Schautafel 203 ihre vorgesehene Position, wird der Mitnehmer 256 durch eine geeignete Schräge 257 aus der Darstellungsebene herausgeklappt und kann beim nächsten Umlauf des umlaufenden Elementes eine weitere Schautafel verschieben. Claims (27)

  1. System for exchanging and storing display panels, in which there are provided two storing areas (10, 11; 201, 202) in which the display panels (1 to 6; 203) are movably stored perpendicularly to their surfaces, adjacent to the storing areas (10, 11; 201, 202) are two planes (208, 209) in which takes place the transport of the display panels (1 to 6; 203) between the storage areas (10, 11; 201, 202), at least one of the planes (208, 209) is provided for displaying several display panels (1 to 6; 203), and means are provided for transporting the display panels (1 to 6; 203) to the planes (208, 209) or from the planes (208, 209) and for guiding the display panels (1 to 6; 203) during the movement within the planes (208, 209), characterised in that the display panels (1 to 6; 203) are provided with spring elements (10; 34, 35) which act perpendicularly to the surface of the display panels and which cause the display panels to be pushed away from one another when a plurality of display panels are situated in one storage area (11, 12; 201, 202) respectively.
  2. System according to claim 1, characterised in that the spring elements constitute leaf springs (10).

System according to claim 1, characterised in that for transporting the display panels (1 to 6; 41 to 44) the display panels are provided with toothed racks (21, 22; 51 to 54) which during transport engage with gear wheels (26; 71 to 74), and that means are provided which during the transfer of the display panels from the storage areas to the planes bring the gear wheels (26; 71 to 74) into engagement with the toothed racks (21, 22; 51 to 54).
  4. System according to claim 3, characterised in that the means constitute cams (27) which engage in recesses (34) of the display panels (1 to 6).
  5. System according to claim 4, characterised in that the cams (27) are provided on the gear wheels (26) which are arranged in the end regions of rails (14, 15) which serve to guide the display panels (1 to 6) within the storage areas (11, 12), that one circular surface of the gear wheels (26) in each case forms the extension off the surface of the rails (14, 15) and that the display panels (1 to 6) are movable on the rails (14, 15) by means of rollers (23).
  6. System according to claim 5, characterised in that the rollers (23) in each case have a peripheral groove (34) which serves as the recess for the cam.
  7. System according to claim 5, characterised in that the cam (27) is adjustable in such a way that it disengages from the gear wheel (26) only for a given angle of rotation.
  8. System according to claim 1, characterised in that the means are formed by rotating discs (60) whose shafts (65) extend essentially parallel to the display planes, that the rotating discs (60) are provided in each case with at least one slot (61 to 64), emanating from the circumference, in which a gear wheel (71 to 74) is arranged in such a way that during entry in the slot (61 to 64) a toothed rack (51 to 54) arranged on the display panel (41 to 44) engages with the gear wheel (71 to 74).
  9. System according to claim 8, characterised in that the rotating disc (60) is intermittently rotatable.
  10. System according to claim 8, characterised in that apart from the spur gearing, the gear wheels (71 to 74) arranged in the slots (61 to 64) in each case also have a bevel gearing which is engaged by a bevel gear (75) which is mounted on the same shaft as the rotating disc (60).
  11. System according to claim 1, characterised in that devices (121; 127, 128) are provided which, during the movement of in each case one display panel ( 1 to 6) within the display plane, push into the storage area (11, 12) a further display panel (1 to 6) situated in the display plane.

System according to claim 11, characterised in that two oppositely arranged edges of the display panels (1 to 6) are bevelled in such a way that during the movement of one display panel (6) within the display plane one bevel (127) of this display panel glides over the bevel (128) of the other display panel (1) also located in the display plane and the further display panel (1) is pushed into the storage area (11).
  13. System according to claim 12, characterised in that the display panels (1 to 6) are provided with stops (18) which are in operative connection with deflection elements (121) and catch elements (120) which are arranged on a continuous chain (119), and that on the continuous chain (119) there are alternately arranged in each case two deflection elements (121) and two catch elements (120).
  14. System according to claim 13, characterised in that the deflection elements (121) each have a bevel which forms a pointed angle with the longitudinal direction of the chain (119) and is aligned in such a way that the deflection element (121) on reaching the stop (18) on the display panel finishes up between the chain (119) and the stop (18).
  15. System according to claim 13, characterised in that guide elements (126; 130, 131) are arranged in the area of the chain (119) in such a way as to effect a coupling and uncoupling between the deflection and catch elements (120, 121) and the stops (18), that the guide elements are formed at least partly by the guide rails (126) through which the chain (119) is at least partly guided diagonally to the display plane, and that further guide elements are formed by diagonals (130, 131) which lift the catch elements (120) over the stops (18).
  16. System according to claim 2, characterised in that on each display panel (1 to 6) on each edge (8, 9) respectively there are provided two stops, especially pins, wherein the pins (18) are arranged in each case in the proximity of one of the visible surfaces of the display panels in the proximity of that corner which during the movement of the display panels within the display plane points in the opposite direction to the direction of movement.
  17. System according to claim 16, characterised in that on two oppositely arranged edges (8, 9) of each display panel there are arranged two stops, especially pins (18).
  18. System according to claim 1, characterised in that the means for transport of the display panels comprise rotatable rails (221, 223) having a cross-shaped diameter.
  19. System according to claim 18, characterised in that the rotatable rails (221, 223) are in engagement with two oppositely arranged edges of the respective display panel (203) to be transported.
  20. System according to claim 19, characterised in that on two oppositely arranged edges of the display panels (203) are arranged guide elements (226) having an essentially triangular cross-section.
  21. System according to claim 20, characterised in that the guide elements (226) are designed to be resilient in the direction of the surface of the display panels (203).
  22. System according to claim 18, characterised in that there is space for two display panels (203) side by side in one plane (208, 209) respectively and that the rotatable rails (221, 223) are divided into two rotatable partial rails (221, 223) arranged one behind the other and rotating independently of each other.
  23. System according to claim 18, characterised in that in each of the planes (208, 209) respectively there is space for more than two display panels (203) and that the rails are in each case divided into several partial rails (221, 222, 223), wherein the outer partial rails (221, 223) are rotatable independently of each other and a centre partial rail (222) is not rotatable.
  24. System according to claim 18, characterised in that in the longitudinal shafts of the rails (221, 222, 223) are arranged spindles (242) which are engaged by corresponding teeth (243) of guide elements (226) of the display panels (203).
  25. System according to claim 18, characterised in that for moving the display panels (203) within the planes (208, 209), for each plane there is provided at least one catch (256) which can be moved linearly.
  26. System according to claim 1, characterised in that the length of the storing areas (10, 11; 201, 202) is variable.
  27. System according to claim 26, characterised in that for the moveable storage of the display panels (1 to 6; 203) in the storage areas (10, 11; 201, 202) there are provided further rails which are telescopic in design.
