Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for drilling soils making square or rectangular holes.
Known for drilling soil intended for foundations, the use of augers adapting to the lifting coupling of tractors or any other coupling fitted on vehicles, as well as portable augers, said augers are rotated either by means a bevel gearbox coupled to the PTO of the tractors or are driven in rotation by means of a hydraulic or pneumatic rotor or by means of an internal combustion engine, this kind of augers allows drilling of sections circular which requires to transform the circular section into a square section to intervene manually and this to correspond to certain standards, this said transformation is not always carried out over the entire height of the drilling and it is laborious and long.
The invention aims to overcome the drawbacks described above.
The subject of the invention is a device adaptable to augers intended for drilling the soil supported by the lifting hitch of tractors or any other hitch or mobile support fitted on vehicles as well as on portable augers driven in rotation by mechanical means, said device for performing square or rectangular section drilling is characterized in that it comprises a parallelepiped frame whose four vertical angles delimiting the section of the hole to be made are uprights in angles their wings facing two by two, the latter in the lower part are connected to each other by horizontal crosspieces and are extended by removable knives, in their upper part and intermediately each upright has spacers aligned with the diagonals of the chassis allowing each to maintain a vertical support in the upper part of which is fixed at least one bearing support axis and in the lower part a collar intended to enclose the central rod of the auger. The bearings integral with the axis or axes arranged in a quadrangular manner are either sandwiched between two horizontal circular plates in the case of a single bearing at each angle or in the case of two bearings at each angle, the latter enclose a horizontal circular plate, the or the circular plates in their center are extended in the upper part by a hollow sleeve of square section intended to fit into the outlet square of the auger drive unit and in the lower part by a square axis receiving the sleeve of the tail auger.
The concentric rolling surface at the periphery of the plate or plates has on each face of the plate or plates corrugations according to sinusoidal curves, said corrugations having the effect of causing during the rotation of the auger a vertical reciprocating movement of the chassis in order to generate a buffering and shearing effect of the soil around the hole when the auger penetrates and thereby squaring said hole.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a device adaptable to an auger,
- - Figure 2, a variant of the device support circular plate.
As shown in Figure 1, the device adaptable to augers comprises a parallelepiped frame 1 whose four vertical angles delimiting the section of the hole to be made are
In the upper part 6 and intermediate 7 of the
According to the variant shown in Figure 2, it is easy to design for each vertical support 9 the fixing of two
Without departing from the scope of the invention, it is possible to produce the chassis so as to be able to vary the spacing of the vertical faces and this by means of
