The length e between the upper edge of the protective element 13 and the first possibility of contacting between the contact pins 6 and the contact parts 7 is greater than the length a of the contact pins 6 and the wall thickness of the protective element 13, namely by an amount that corresponds to the required safety distances corresponds. Claims (5)

  1. Illuminating equipment for domestic appliances, such as baking ovens, with a lamp holder, which consists of insulating material and comprises electrical contact parts and into which a lamp comprising a lamp base of insulating material is pluggable by its contact pins projecting from this lamp base and bringable into contact with the contact parts of the lamp holder, wherein the insertion opening of the lamp holder is associated with protective elements of electrically insulating material, which extend over a length of the plugging movement of the lamp exceeding the plug contact path or the contact pins by the required safety margin, characterised thereby, that the lamp holder (2), which consists of electrically insulating material and adequately excludes creep currents, is covered at least on the access side of the lamp holder (2) of the illuminating equipment by an electrically conducting and protectively earthed protective element (13, 17) reaching into the proximity of the lamp glass bulb (4) or its lamp base (5) consisting of insulating material and that the spacing between this protective element (13, 17) and the contact parts (7) of the lamp holder (2) in the plugging direction of the lamp (3) is greater than the length of the contact pins (6) of the lamp (3) by a required safety margin.
  2. Illuminating equipment according to claim 1, characterised thereby, that the electrically conducting and protectively earthed protective element (13, 17) is constructed in the manner of a plate, structured with a cut-out amply corresponding to the cross-section of the lamp (3) and arranged on the access side in front of the lamp holder (2) consisting of electrically insulating material.
  3. Illuminating equipment according to claim 2, characterised thereby, that the electrically conducting and protectively earthed protective element (13), which is constructed in the manner of a plate, is constructed or continued to be tubularly surrounding the lamp holder (2) consisting of insulating material.
  4. Illuminating equipment according to claim 2, characterised thereby, that the electrically conducting and protectively earthed protective element (17), which is constructed in the manner of a plate is arranged on stays leading past the lamp holder (2) consisting of insulating material.
  5. Illuminating equipment according to one of the claims 1 to 4, characterised thereby, that the electrically conducting and protectively earthed protective element (13, 17) is arranged at a spatial distance from the lamp holder (2) consisting of insulating material.
