Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a removable receptacle for storing coins for machines activated by the introduction of coins.
  • the receptacle is provided with a collection orifice normally closed by a shutter. To collect, simply move the shutter to clear the collection orifice.
  • the collection is done by extracting a receptacle filled with coins and replacing it with an empty receptacle.
  • the present invention relates to this second type of receptacle.
  • Such a receptacle must of course meet a number of conditions to be able to be used safely. It is necessary, during the transport of the receptacle, that the slot which allows the introduction of the parts into the receptacle is closed and can no longer be opened by the collection attendant. It is also necessary that, when the receptacle is placed in the corresponding compartment of the machine, the operation which makes it possible to clear the slot for introducing the parts also ensures the locking of the receptacle on the machine.
  • the receptacle comprises a housing provided on one of its faces with a coin insertion slot, and also mounted inside said receptacle, movable means comprising a flap d closing said slot and a rod, movable in linear translation with respect to said face of the receptacle, one end of which forms first locking means, pheasant operating means protruding from said receptacle for bringing said movable means into a first position in wherein said shutter means allow said slot to clear and said first locking means protrude from said housing to allow locking of said receptacle on said machine, or in a second position in which said shutter means close off said slot and said first means locking do not protrude from said housing; and a mechanism cooperating with said rod for initially authorizing the movement of said movable means from said second position to said first position; then in a second step from said first position to said second position, said movable assembly then being able to be brought back into said first position only after having exerte
  • the means with controlled access consist in the fact that the receptacle comprises a removable cover closed by second locking means accessible from outside the receptacle.
  • said mechanism comprises a movable lock capable of moving perpendicular to said movable means and a plate pivotally mounted on one end of said rod, said rod comprising an orifice in which said lock can penetrate when said rod is in its second position, said plate closing off said orifice under the effect of a return element, said latch being able to spread said plate to enter said orifice when said movable assembly passes from the second position to said first position.
  • FIG. 1 a to 1 c we will describe the outside of the removable receptacle. It comprises a body 10, of generally parallelepipedal shape closed at its upper part by a cover 12, articulated on the body 10 by hinges 14.
  • the cover 12 comprises an upper wall 16, a front edge 18 and two lateral edges 20 and 22
  • the cover 12 can be held in the closed position by a lock 24 mounted on a tab 26 articulated on the front edge 18 of the cover 12.
  • the lock 24 can be actuated by a key 28.
  • the storage receptacle is provided with a handle 30.
  • the upper wall 16 of the cover 12 is provided with a slot 32.
  • the accepted coins enter the receptacle by the slot 32.
  • FIGS. 2 a and 2 b we will describe the members which allow to close the slot 32 for introduction and to lock the receptacle on the machine.
  • These members include a rod 34, of rectangular cross section which is mounted on the internal face of the upper wall 16 of the cover 12.
  • the rod 34 can move in translation along the axis XX ′ and it is guided by shaped parts. of U, 36 and 38 integral with the cover 12.
  • These members also include a flap 40 integral in translation with the rod 34 and a control button 42 integral in translation with the rod 34 which passes through the front edge 18 of the lid by a longitudinal slot 44.
  • the rod 34 can be moved between a first so-called transport position, shown in FIG. 2a, in which the flap 40 closes the slot 32 and the end 46 of the rod 34 is inside the cover 12, and a second so-called service position, shown in FIG. 2b, in which the flap 40 fully releases the slot 32 and the end 46 of the rod 34 protrudes from the cover 12 passing through an orifice 48 formed in the lateral edge 22 of the cover.
  • the second end 50 of the rod 34 cooperates with a mechanism 52 partially mounted on the internal face of the upper wall 16 of the cover 12 and partly on the end 50 itself.
  • the mechanism 52 essentially comprises a rod 54 or bolt of reduced length which can move in a direction Y, Y ′ orthogonal to the plane of the upper wall 16 of the cover .
  • the rod 54 is guided by a part 56 integral with the cover.
  • a return spring 58 tends to bring the end 16 a of the rod 54 closer to the cover 54.
  • the mechanism 52 also includes a movable blade 60 pivotally mounted around the axis 62 integral with the rod 34.
  • the rod 34 comprises a oblond hole 64, whose dimensions are sufficient to enable the end 54 a of the rod 54 from entering.
  • the blade 60 is provided with an edge 66 which abuts against the sidewall 34 a of the rod 34 under the effect of a return spring blade 68.
  • the blade 60 completely covers the hole 64 as can be seen in FIG. 3 and in FIGS. 4a and 4b.
  • the end of the rod 34 is bevelled at 70 so that the bevelled part 70 serves as a ramp for the rod 54.
  • the free end of the blade 60 is also bevelled in 72.
  • the button 42 which moves the rod 34 is mounted on the rod 34 by means of a return spring 76.
  • the rod 78 of the button 42 has a portion of larger diameter 80.
  • the slot 44 in which the rod 78 of the button 42 moves has at its two ends circular holes 82 and 84 in which the part 80 of the rod 78 of the button 42 can be accommodated.
  • the flap 40 closes the slot 32 and the end 46 of the rod 34 is inside the receptacle.
  • the mechanism 52 it is in the following position.
  • the blade 60 covers the hole 64 and the end 54 a of the rod 54 is supported on the blade 60 under the effect of its return spring 58.
  • the rod 34 is therefore immobilized in translation only by the cooperation of the part 80 of the button 42 with the hole 82.
  • the lower end 54 a of the rod 54 comes into contact with the bevelled part 70 of the rod which causes the vertical displacement of the rod 54 which compresses the spring of reminder 58.
  • the end 54 a of the rod 54 comes to bear on the face 34b of the rod 34 on which the blade 60 is mounted, due to the continued displacement of the rod 34 to the left, the end 54 a comes into contact with the beveled end 72 of the blade 60 and tends to pivot according to the arrow f the blade 60 around its axis 62 by compressing the return spring 68.
  • the hole 64 is therefore gradually released until the end 54 a of the rod 54 can penetrate the hole 64, which corresponds to the end of the rod stroke 34.
  • FIG. 7 shows, in a simplified form, an example of installation of the receptacle 8 of FIGS. 1 to 5, in a machine actuated by the introduction of coins.
  • the receptacle 8 is placed in a housing 101 limited by the walls 102, 104 and 106 and closed by a door 108.
  • the wall 102 is provided with a recess 110 into which the end 46 of the rod 34 can penetrate. When that -this is in the service position.
  • the door 108 has on its internal face a fixed part 112 provided with a recess 114.
  • the recess 114 is arranged in such a way that, when the operating button 42 is in its operating position (FIG. 2b), the head of the button 42 can enter it and, on the contrary, when the button is in its other position (FIG. 2 a ), the part 112 abuts against the head button 42.
  • the door 108 of the machine can only be closed if the button 42 is in its operating position, that is to say that the slot 32 is released and the receptacle 8 locked on the machine.
  • the insertion slot 32 could be arranged in another wall of the receptacle than the cover, for example the bottom.
  • the receptacle can be emptied of the parts it contains thanks to a cover which is closed by a lock. To extract the coins it is therefore necessary to hold the key corresponding to the lock. It is therefore also necessary to hold this key to reset the mechanism 52.
  • the receptacle does not have a cover and the extraction of the parts is done by the insertion slot 32.
  • a hopper directed towards this slot is mounted inside the receptacle.
  • the receptacle always comprises the movable assembly 34.40 and the mechanism 52.
  • the mechanism 52 to be reset, that is to say to bring the rod 54 and the plate 60 back to their positions shown in FIGS. 4a and 4b, l the free end of the rod 54 cooperates with a mechanical assembly having a operating member projecting from the receptacle.
  • the rod 54 By acting temporarily on this operating member, the rod 54 is temporarily moved aside from the rod 32 so that the blade 60 can return to its rest position and the end 54a of the rod 54 comes to rest on the blade 60.
  • the operating member does not can only be activated if, for example, a key is available. It is understood that in this case again access to the coins and the rearming of the mechanism 52 are only possible if there is a controlled means of access, for example a key.
