Description

The present invention relates to a rinsing device for containers, for example containing phytosanitary or toxic products.

The requirements of safety and environmental protection have imposed, with increasing acuteness, that attention be paid to the disposal of waste and, in particular, empty packaging. In addition, agriculture uses increasing quantities of phytosanitary products, generally presented in small capacity packaging, in a highly concentrated form, which must be diluted at the time of use. Containers of concentrated products, once empty, pose a disposal problem. In the case of rigid containers, generally made of plastic, which have contained these products, it is necessary to carry out a careful rinsing, before their destruction by fire, their storage for collection, or their burial in the ground. in suitable locations.

On a farm, the quantity of containers to be rinsed can be important, at the end of an operation. The usual means used take a long time, are impractical, and often do not allow recovery or recycling of the rinsing water, either to neutralize it or to mix it with the treatment liquids, where possible.

There is therefore a need for a device which makes it possible to rinse completely, quickly or even immediately, and without exaggerated handling work, a series of cans having contained a concentrated product.

The object of the invention is to provide an apparatus which makes it possible, without fatigue and in a short time, to carry out the rinsing together or as a large number of small containers, the rinsing being made of efficiently and completely, and the rinsing water being easily collected, preferably to be incorporated immediately into a spray which has just been prepared in the tank of a sprayer.

To obtain this result, the invention provides a device for rinsing containers comprising an inlet for pressurized rinsing liquid, a nozzle provided with at least one nozzle capable of projecting rinsing liquid towards the interior walls of the container, means to collect the polluted liquid out of the recover, and means for evacuating it to a storage, treatment or use device, with the particularity that the same whole of a single piece comprises:
- the intake of rinse aid,
- The nozzle with its nozzle mounted at the end of a conduit capable of entering the container through an orifice of said container.
a funnel capable of collecting the polluted liquid escaping through said orifice,
- And a polluted liquid ejector, supplied by a bypass of the supply of rinsing liquid, and the inlet of which is connected to said funnel and the outlet to the discharge means.

By "one-piece assembly" is meant either a single piece, obtained by molding, for example, or a rigid assembly of several pieces, joined together by screwing or welding for example, and the relative arrangement of which does not vary during of use.

Preferably, the device according to the invention comprises a valve arranged to stop the sending of rinsing liquid to the nozzle while maintaining the supply to the ejector.

In this case, it is advantageously provided that said valve comprises a part capable of sliding along the axis of the nozzle between a closed position, towards which it is pushed by a spring, and a position of opening, into which it can be brought by the movement of a pusher, coaxial with the nozzle and capable of being actuated, in opposition to said spring, by the container itself or the part of the wall of the latter which s extends around the orifice into which the nozzle is inserted.

According to an advantageous modality, the pusher can be mounted in at least two different positions relative to the nozzle, to adapt the device to different containers. Preferably, one passes from one position of the pusher to another by turning it up and down.

According to another advantageous method, the device is equipped with a cover covering the funnel to protect it outside of periods of use, this cover being capable of passing the nozzle into the open position for cleaning the interior face. of said cover, either by action of the cover on the pusher, or by action of the bottom of the cover on the nozzle itself.

According to yet another advantageous method, the device is equipped with a purge provided with a valve which closes when the rinsing liquid is admitted under pressure into the device and opens when this pressurized liquid is no longer admitted and the purge section, when the valve is open, is greater than the passage section offered to the liquid going from the funnel to the ejector.

Advantageously, the device is connected to the filling means of a device for spreading or spraying a solution for treating soils or plants, to allow mixing of the polluted rinsing liquid with this solution.

The invention will now be explained in more detail using a practical example illustrated by the drawings, among which:
  • FIG. 1 is a longitudinal section of a device according to the invention, described by way of example,
  • FIG. 2 is a partial view, similar to FIG. 1, and showing an alternative arrangement,
  • Figure 3 is a view of the pusher, taken along the axis of the nozzle.
  • Figures 4 and 5 are partial views similar to Figure 1, and relating respectively to the purge and on the cover.

The device according to the invention, described here as a nonlimiting example, is intended for rinsing with water of commonly marketed containers with a capacity of between approximately 0.5 and 20 liters.

Un clapet anti-retour 9A est intercalé entre le répartiteur 6 et l'embout 9.A casing 1 is provided with a fixing lug 2, for connecting it to a support, not shown. The casing comprises an inlet port 3, with a horizontal axis, a discharge port 4, coaxial with the inlet port, and a port 5, vertical, for connection with the container. Inside the housing is mounted a distributor 6, forcibly mounted in the intake orifice 3, and comprising a tubular part 7 which projects outside the intake orifice of the housing, is externally threaded , and carries a threaded ring 8 which maintains a nozzle 9 for connection with a water supply pipe not shown. A non-return valve 9A is interposed between the distributor 6 and the nozzle 9.

The distributor 6 also comprises a tubular part 10, located in extension of the intake orifice, and which is terminated by a diaphragm 11, forming a constriction, held in place by a threaded piece 12.

The end of the tubular part 13 which is opposite the distributor 6 is closed and has horizontal passages 14. A sleeve 15 can slide along the tubular part 13 between a high position, where it closes the passages 14, and a low position, not shown, where these passages are cleared. The seal, when the sleeve 15 is in the high position, is obtained by O-rings placed in grooves of the tubular part 13, above the passages 14. The sleeve 15 is made integral, by means of a thread 17, of the nozzle 18. This is a tubular part, with an internal diameter greater than the internal diameter of the sleeve 15, at least over a certain part of its length. A compression spring 19 is supported on the one hand on a shoulder 20 of the nozzle and, on the other hand, on a ring 21, fixed relative to the casing 1. This spring therefore tends to hold the nozzle, and the sleeve 15, in the high position, that is to say with the passages 14 closed. In the upper part, the nozzle ends with nozzles 22 directed obliquely and an axial nozzle 23. A draining liquid receiving funnel 24 is mounted coaxially with the nozzle. At its lower part, it bears on the edges of the connection orifice 5 of the casing, and it is connected at this point by spacers 25 to the ring 21.

A pusher 26 whose aspect in plan indicated in FIG. 3 is that of a three-spoke flywheel comprises a sleeve 27, which can slide along the nozzle and is stopped by the latter thanks to a shoulder 28, and three radial branches 29, joined at their ends by a ring 30, of diameter less than the maximum diameter of the funnel 24. Each of the radial branches 29 carries a lug 31 whose utility will be seen below. The number of branches 29 can be different from three.

The evacuation orifice 4 of the casing maintains, by virtue of a threaded ring 32, a venturi 33, provided with connection means with an evacuation duct not shown. The internal section of the venturi 33 is calculated to constitute, by cooperating with a jet coming from the orifice of the diaphragm 11, an evacuator capable of sucking the draining liquid descended from the funnel 24 to the inside of casing 1 .

Figure 4 shows a variant of the device of Figure 1. The difference consists in the fact that the casing 1 is capable of a drain 35 provided with a ball valve 36. A calibrated spring 38 lifts the ball 37 on its seat 39 when the casing is subjected to low pressure. However, when the device is subjected to the pressure of use of the rinsing liquid, the valve is closed. Furthermore, the sleeve 15 has a toothed peripheral projection 15A (FIG. 1) which throttles the passage between the bottom of the funnel 24 and the evacuation orifice. cuation 4 of the housing. The usefulness of purging and throttling will be explained later.

Figure 5 shows another modality of the device. A cover 40, in the form of an inverted bowl, can be placed on the edges of the funnel 24 to protect it during periods of non-use. The cover has internal axial ribs 41, two of which are shown. On its edge, the cover has an axial stud 42 (or more) which comes either into a hole 43 provided on the edge of the funnel, or into another hole of the same edge, angularly offset suitably. When the cover is placed on the funnel with the stud 42 in the hole 43, the ribs 41 are out of contact with the pusher 26, while, if the stud is in the other hole, the ribs 41 come to bear on the pusher, and then control the opening of the nozzle for internal cleaning of the cover. A lug 44 secured to the funnel immobilizes the rotary pusher.

In a simpler, but less robust variant, the bottom of the cover is flexible, and its shape is calculated so that, at rest, the cover rests on the funnel with the nozzle 18 flush with the bottom 45 of the cover or at a short distance from him. By pressing on the bottom of the cover, the nozzle is moved and brought to the open position. The rinsing liquid then essentially passes through the lateral nozzles 22, the axial nozzle 23 being obstructed.

Le fonctionnement du dispositif est le suivant:The operation of the device is as follows:

On pousse alors le récipient vers le bas jusqu'à ce qu'il vienne en appui contre les branches 29 du poussoir (voir figures 1 et 2).We start by sending the rinsing liquid, in principle water, under a suitable pressure, into the intake orifice, the passages 14 being closed. The rinsing liquid then flows through the orifice of the diaphragm 11 and the venturi 33 directly to the discharge. We then set up a container to rinse, and for that, we turn it over, with its opening down, and we place it so that the nozzle enters inside through this opening. We then push the container towards the down until it comes to rest against branches 29 of the pusher (see Figures 1 and 2).

Continued movement of the container downwards drives the plunger and the nozzle 18, in opposition to the force of the spring 19, until the passages 14 are cleared. The rinsing liquid then penetrates inside the nozzle, and is projected by the nozzles 22, 23. When it is judged that the container is sufficiently rinsed, the latter is raised, which causes the flow to stop. from the nozzle, the rinsing liquid continuing to pass through the orifice of the diaphragm 11. By the action of the ejector constituted by this orifice and the venturi 33, all the liquid collected in the funnel 24 is rapidly evacuated, and the whole is rinsed and emptied.

It is then possible to interrupt the arrival of pressurized rinsing liquid through the intake orifice 3. Suppose that the polluted liquid is discharged through the evacuation orifice 4 to a level higher than that of the device, the stopping of the sending of rinse aid will result in a return of the polluted liquid. It is to prevent this liquid remaining in the device that the arrangement object of FIG. 4 has been provided. The pressure drop inside the casing 1 causes the valve 36 of the purge 35 to open, and the evacuation of the liquid in return. As the passage section towards the funnel is smaller than that of the drain, the return liquid does not flow back into the funnel.

If the polluted liquid is discharged to a lower level, purging is not necessary. It can be dismantled and replaced by a plug.

As has been observed, the arms 29 of the pusher have a shape inclined towards the periphery. As a result, the wider the container orifice, the deeper the nozzle penetrates inside of it, which is favorable since the larger containers are generally those with the widest orifice. .

In FIG. 1, part of the section of a rigid container with a narrow neck 50 has been shown in broken lines, resting on the central region of the pusher 26. In the same figure, there is also shown, also entirets, part of the soup of a rigid container with a wide neck 51, bearing on the peripheral region of the pusher 26.

If you wish to rinse containers of low height, or whose neck is flexible or retractable, you can turn the pusher 26 from bottom to top, so that it takes the position indicated in Figure 2. In this position, the pins 31 are directed upwards.

If necessary, a greater number of positions can be provided for the pusher 26, for example with staggered stops carried by the nozzle.

In this Figure 2, there is shown a part of the section of a container 52 formed of a rigid body 53 provided with a flexible neck 54. As can be seen, the pins 31 come into contact with the rigid body 53 , and the flexible neck 54 does not touch the pusher. There is therefore no risk of damaging this collar, or of retracting it inside, which results in an imperfect rinsing. The penetration of the nozzle into the container is also limited by the action of the pins, which prevents it from hitting the bottom of the container.

In Figures 1 and 2, there is shown schematically at 26a, in dashes, the position of the pusher at its maximum reinforcement.

As can be seen, the device of the invention allows extremely rapid rinsing operations for a large number of containers, these operations are limited to turning the container over and placing it on the nozzle, then removing it after rinsing. We can then close the container, which contains only a few drops of clean water. We also put in place, if necessary, the cover 40 on the funnel 24, and, optionally, it is rinsed in the manner indicated above. An appreciable time saving is thus obtained on the "site" of preparation, while always obtaining an excellent quality cleaning without pollution of the environment.

In a preferred arrangement, the device described is connected, in series or bypass to the supply line of the filling device of a sprayer. The rinsing water is thus immediately incorporated into the spray contained in the sprayer and which has been prepared with the concentrated product which was contained in the containers to be rinsed. This ensures total use of the product at the same time as eliminating any problem with the treatment or storage of the rinsing water.
