A piece of jewellery having a body (1;20,21) of a generally annular shape and comprising a movable portion (10) which is normally locked in a determined position on the circumference of said body (1;20,21), the displacement of said movable portion (10) away from the locked position revealing a decoration (8) which is attached to an element (2) that is normally engaged in a recess (4) on the circumference of said annular body, characterized in that the displacement of the movable portion (10) is a translational movement along the circumference of the annular body (1;20,21), said translational movement allowing to uncover the decoration (8), which allows an outward removal of the element (2) in the plane of the annular body (1;20,21), thereby rendering the bottom of said recess (4) visible.
  2. A piece of jewellery according to claim 1, characterized in that the generally annular body is formed of two parts (20,21) which are connected by an articulation and mutually imbricated at their other ends.
  3. A piece of jewellery according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the decoration (8) is located in a correspondingly shaped recess (9) on the external surface of the annular body (20,21).
  4. A piece of jewellery according to claim 3, characterized in that the decoration (8) is located in a correspondingly shaped recess (9) on the external surface of the body (1;20,21).
  5. A piece of jewellery according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the removable element is an arm (2) hinged on an axle (3) which is perpendicular to the plane of the annular body (1;20,21).
  6. A piece of jewellery according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the decoration (8) is attached to said element (2) by a buckle (6).
  7. A piece of jewellery according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the body (1;20,21) passes through the movable portion (10) with a clearance in order to allow a free displacement of the latter, and in that the movable portion (10) is locked with respect to said body by a stud (11) which is screwed into the movable portion (10), passing through the upper wall of the latter and bearing upon the body (1;20,21).
  8. A piece of jewellery according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that it is provided with different personal inscriptions, e.g. on the external surface of the body (1;20,21), underneath the element (2), and on the internal and external surfaces of said element (2).
  9. Use of the piece of jewellery according to claim 1 as a ring and of the piece of jewellery according to claim 2 as a bracelet.
