Description

The invention relates to a circular knitting machine for producing a single-surface plush fabric from basic thread and plush thread, with the features listed in the preamble of the main claim.

A circular knitting machine of the type mentioned is known from DE-A 30 35 582. With this circular knitting machine the task is solved to make the plush and stitch formation sensitive to influence by a relative displacement of the two boards used. Normal plating is aimed for and achieved, according to which the basic thread is revealed in a known manner in the case of such a single-surface plush fabric on the side free of the plush handles. A two-layer knitted fabric is known from US Pat. No. 2,133,840, in which the plush thread can also be seen on a side of the goods that is free of plush handles. This is possible there through the use of an elastic base thread, which is knitted together with the plush thread to form stitches and which contracts after the stitch formation and thereby presses the plush thread on the side of the fabric that is free from plush handles. This effect is not achieved without the use of an elastic base thread.

The invention is based on the object of producing a plush fabric with the circular knitting machine mentioned at the beginning, in which only the plush thread is visible on both sides and in which the plating required for this can be achieved without having to convert the locks for controlling the knitting tools.

The object is achieved with the circular knitting machine of the type mentioned in the invention by the features listed in the characterizing part of the main claim.

In the circular knitting machine for the production of single-surface plush goods, the plating of the side of the plush handle-free side is achieved solely by using a specially designed second plate. No separate lock parts have to be used to control this second board and its relative adjustability to the first board. It is possible to work with the same lock parts as described in the already mentioned DE-A 30 35 582 and which each have separate adjustable lock elements which act on the first board or on the second board. Separate needles, as are known for reversible plating, and which are more expensive than easy-to-punch blanks, do not have to be used.

Although it is known in principle to form thread receiving notches on the second circuit board when using two separate boards for producing plush goods, in particular also a throat or edge for grasping the plush thread handles, no particular plating is sought there, but measures are taken to improve the plush handle position on the plush side (e.g. DE-C 31 45 307 or GB-A 21 60 901) or to secure the plush handles against pulling out the plush thread on the back during the formation of the subsequent stitches and handles, in order to regular plush goods and make it uniform. Accordingly, the interaction of the second circuit board with the needle is also different than in the subject of the invention.

With the circular knitting machine designed according to the invention, a clad single-surface plush fabric can be produced, in which the basic thread is also completely and cleanly covered on the side without the plush handles and does not appear even when the plush fabric is stretched. An elastic base thread can advantageously be used to achieve good stretchability. The clad single surface Plush goods can also advantageously be roughened on their side that is free of plush handles and also processed into a fluffy product on both sides. Due to the inclined plush thread pressure edge on the plush thread on the handle and Mesh formation exerts a force component which favors the relative position of the two threads relative to one another in the needle head required for the desired special plating and shifts both threads in the needle head towards the needle shaft side.

An exemplary embodiment of a circular knitting machine designed according to the invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of the drawing representing the blanks and the lock parts of a system controlling them.

Die Verstellung der beiden Schloßteile 22 und 24 erfolgt mittels bekannter Verstellexzenter 26.Fig. 1 shows a side view and in individual representation of the two interacting boards, of which the first board as plush board 10 and the second board to be referred to as plating board 11. Fig. 1 also shows a segment of a lock ring 12 with screwed fixed lock parts 14, 15 and 16 for the boards 10 and 11. The lock parts 14 and 15 can also consist of a single part. For a better differentiation from their surroundings, the fixed lock parts 14 - 16, which can also be composed of several individual parts, are shown in dotted lines in FIG. 1. The two lock parts 14 and 15 together form a guide edge 17. The fixed lock part 16 forms a guide edge 18 on one side and a guide edge 19 on its other side. A section of the guide edge 17 is arranged by the front edge 20 of one behind the fixed lock part 14 , In the direction of the double arrow 21 adjustable movable lock part 22 is formed. The leading edge 19 of the fixed lock part 16 is also superimposed at one point by the front edge 23 of an adjustable lock part 24 arranged behind the lock part 16, the direction of adjustment of which is indicated by a double arrow 25. The two lock parts 22 and 24 are adjusted by means of known adjusting eccentrics 26.

The plush board 10 has at its rear end a control foot 27 with a restoring edge 28 cooperating with the leading edge 18. In its middle part on the plush board 10 is provided with a step 30 back 29 'below which extends in the longitudinal direction a slot 32 with a flat slope 31 in front of the slot opening. The back 29 'ends in a with the leading edge 19 of the lock part 16 and the front edge 23 of the adjustable lock part 24 cooperating output edge 33rd

The plating board 11 has at its rear end a foot 34 which is wider and higher than the foot 27 of the plush board 10 and which has an output edge 35 with the leading edge 17 of the lock parts 14 and 15 and with the front edge 20 of the adjustable lock part 22 and cooperates with a restoring edge 36 with the leading edge 18 of the lock part 16. The plating board 11 has in its area of action on the threads a plating nose 37 which ends in a tip 49 and below which there is a recess 38 at the level of the receiving slot 32 of the plush board 10. The recess 38 has an edge 38 'which extends to the board tip 49. A plush thread pressure edge 50 extends obliquely backwards and upwards from the board tip 49, which then merges into a back edge 51 running in the longitudinal direction of the plating board 11. At the back edge 51 there is an expulsion edge 52 transversely thereto, which corresponds to the expulsion edge 33 of the plush board 10.

Both boards 10 and 11 lie close together next to each other in slots of a board ring with a smooth long side. The back part 37 of the plating board 11 is the same height as the back 29 'of the plush board 10 or so high that it projects over the back 29' of the plush board 10 with its back 51. The recess is dimensioned so that the plating board 11 in any possible position relative to Plush board 10 can not affect the position of the threads in the needle head. FIG. 2 also shows the latch needle 40 assigned to the two boards 10 and 11.

Fig. 3 shows the needle guide path 41, the feed point 42 formed by a thread guide, not shown, for an elastic base thread 46, for example, the feed point 43 for a plush thread 47 and the curve 44, according to which the plush plate 10 and largely also the plating plate 11 are guided. The curve sections 45 deviating from curve 44 for the plating board 11, according to which the plating board 11 is moved differently from the plush board 10 by the lock parts shown in FIG. 1, are also shown.

Die Nadelzunge ist mit 40.2 bezeichnet.FIG. 4 shows the relative position of the knitting tools at the point IV shown in FIG. 3, at which the needle is on its way to its lowest wedge position. Fig. 4 shows how in this area the plush thread pressure edge 50 acts on the plush thread 47 and ensures that the two threads are held in the illustrated relative position to one another in the needle head 40.1 and when the meshes consisting of the basic thread 46 and the plush thread 47 are combined the plush thread 47 is pressed in the direction of the needle shaft 40.3. The needle tongue is designated 40.2.

The strength of the expulsion movement of the plush board 10 can be adjusted by the adjustable lock part 24 and thus adapt to the plush thread used. The front edge 23 of the adjustable lock part 24 acts on the drive edge 33 of the plush board 10. The The expulsion movement of the plating plate 11 and its action on the plush thread 47 according to FIG. 4 can also be adjusted by means of the adjustable lock part 22 and thus adapted to the yarns used. This ensures an orderly position of the threads and thus a clean cladding of the back of the goods, which is free of plush handles. In the area of the guide curves of the knitting tools relating to FIG. 4, the front edge 20 of the adjustable lock part 22 controls the plating plate 11 by acting on the drive-out edge 35 of the foot 34.
