Description

The invention relates to a hearing aid according to the features of the preamble of claim 1.

Such a hearing aid (BTE device) is e.g. the "SELECTRA" hearing aid from Rexton International, Zurich, Switzerland. The plugged in audio connection increases the dimensions of this hearing aid to an undesirable extent. An in-the-ear hearing aid, in which the battery drawers for two different battery sizes can be exchanged, is e.g. known as ITE product (see e.g. NHAS ASHA brochure sheet from 1986). With the "SELECTRA behind-the-ear hearing aid", the battery compartment cannot be replaced without removing the housing shells.

The object of the present invention is to make a hearing aid of the type mentioned at the outset as small as possible without any additional technical outlay, even when the audio connection is plugged in.

The object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

In the hearing aid according to the invention, the usual battery drawer can be removed and the audio connection, which is also designed as a battery drawer, can be used instead of this battery drawer. This construction means that less space is required for audio connections than before. The hearing aid is therefore small in size despite the audio connection being used.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention result from the subclaims. According to dependent claim 4 can in the audio connection if necessary, further electronic components can be accommodated. According to claim 5, instead of an audio connection, a shell of a corresponding shape can be used without connection contact holes for a Euro plug, in which any electrical and / or electromechanical, for example special control or programming chips are arranged. The contacts of the contact holder then serve for the electrical connection with these components.

Further advantages and details of the invention result from the following description of exemplary embodiments with reference to the drawing and in connection with the further claims.

In FIG. 1, the hearing aid 1 comprises a housing 2 with a battery drawer 3. The battery drawer 3 is rotatably mounted on an axis of rotation 4 (a pivot on each housing shell of the housing composed of two housing shells) by means of a suspension slot 5. It comprises a push button 6 for latching the battery drawer 3 into the fully closed position, in which the battery 7 lying in the battery drawer 3 is electrically connected to the inner circuit of the hearing aid, and into a half-open position, in which the battery is out of the inner circuit is switched off. In addition, the battery drawer 3 can also be pivoted completely out of the end face 8 of the hearing device housing by means of the push button 6, so that the battery 7 can be easily replaced in this position. The complete battery drawer 3 can also be suspended from the axis of rotation 4 via the widening opening 9 of the suspension slot 5 and e.g. be replaced by an audio connector, which is also designed as a battery charger.

The audio connector 10 includes an outer connector shell 11 (the end face 12 with the female to 3 and 15) for a Euro plug (not shown) and a contact holder 16 inserted into the outer connection shell 11, which at the same time acts as a battery charger 17 with the inserted battery 18 (which can be identical to the battery 7 in FIG. 1) is trained.

The shape of the contact holder 16 designed as a battery drawer 17 results even more precisely from FIGS. 4 and 5. Accordingly, the contact holder 16 thus comprises the seat part 19 for the battery 18 and an additional plug part 20 for the female connection sockets 13 to 15 on the end face 12 of the outer Connection shell 11 of the audio connection 10. As shown in the top view of FIG. 5, the plug-in supplement part 20 thus also comprises female connection sockets 21 to 23 which, in the assembled state of the contact holder 16 in the outer connection shell 11 of the audio connection 10, continue the female connection sockets 13 to 15 of the outer connection shell 11.

The contact springs of the contact holder 16 are indicated in the figure 4 with 24 to 26. Normally, the contact holder 16 comprises a total of three such contact springs, which, when the contact holder 16 is inserted into the outer connection shell 11, from the inner wall of the outer connection shell in the direction of female connection sockets 13 to 15 in the outer connection shell 11 or female connection sockets 21 to 23 in the plug-in supplementary part 20 be pressed. An inserted Euro plug then contacts the lower ends of the contact springs 24 to 26 pressed inwards. The contact connection at the upper end of the contact springs is made by means of contact springs 27 to 29, which project downwards from a printed circuit board 30 in the direction of the audio connection 10. The audio connector 10 comprises on the outer connector shell 11 in turn a finger grip 30 'for switching the battery 18 on and off to or from the inner circuit (not shown) of the hearing device 1.

As indicated in FIG. 6, the contact holder 16 can instead of only three contact springs 24 to 26 also additional contact springs, e.g. include the contact springs 31 and 32 shown in dashed lines, which are supplemented by corresponding continuing contact springs 33 and 34 on the circuit board 30. These additional contact springs 31, 32 and 33, 34 are e.g. Connection contacts for further electrical and / or electromechanical components housed in the audio connection (in FIG. 2, for example, such a component is indicated by the dash-dot number 35).

As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, instead of a conventional battery drawer 3 or an audio connector 10 designed as a battery charger 17, a shell 36 can be used, which is only roughly modeled according to the contour of the shell 11 of an audio connector 10 which, however, does not have the female connection sockets 13 to 15 for a Euro plug (see end face 36 'of FIG. 8). In this shell 36, a contact holder 37, similar to that of an audio connection without a plug-in supplementary part, can again be inserted, which is simultaneously designed as a battery charger 38 and whose contact springs 39a to n have electrical and / or electromechanical components 40a to n arranged in the shell 36. control / programming chips) can be connected.

A reduction ring 41, as indicated in FIG. 9, can be used both in the conventional battery drawer 3 and in the contact holders 16 designed as battery drawer 17 or 38 for the audio connection 10 or the general shell 36. The inner diameter of the respective battery drawer, which is matched to the largest battery to be used, is thus reduced in diameter so that smaller batteries 42 can now also be used.
