The present invention aims to bring improvements to these different models of easels, so as to facilitate their storage and transport, to simplify their deployment during installation for use and to increase their rigidity and stability in this working position.

The first improvement obtained resides in the fact that the feet fold inside the U-shaped cross member and, therefore, completely disappear, thus producing a compact product.

This improvement is obtained thanks to feet articulated on an axis and connected to a crosspiece by the combination of two compasses arranged in Tee. The feet fold side by side inside the U-shaped cross member, an operation facilitated by the axial position of the compasses relative to the beam and by the design of their folding mode.

The second improvement concerns the deployment of the feet whose execution is simple and fast thanks to the combined compasses. Indeed, a blocking action exerted on the part of the compass acting as a strut makes it possible to simultaneously ensure the transverse spacing and the blocking in position of the articulated feet.

Another improvement concerns the increase in rigidity and stability of the feet in the deployed position, this thanks to an axis acting as a stop, thus limiting the opening of the feet and opposing the thrust exerted by the part of the compass acting of a strut.

The transport and the storage are facilitated by a fourth improvement which makes it possible to join face to face the pair of easels, joining obtained by means of a spring coming to engage, because of its elasticity, around a pin.

The pair of easels thus paired can be easily stored, the whole taking the form of a tube of rectangular section. Manual transport is then very easy thanks to a handle secured to a U profile wing constituting the crosspiece of one of the easels.

The invention is set out below in more detail with the aid of drawings representing only one embodiment.
  • FIG. 1 represents, in perspective, an easel unfolded in the position of use, composed of a cross member 1 on which are articulated around an axis 4, feet 2 and 6.
The spacing and the rigidity of the feet are obtained by means of a double compass of which we distinguish the two parts 3 and 8 acting as locking knee pads.
  • FIG. 2 represents, in perspective, the easel in the folded position with the feet 2 and 6 completely retracted inside the profile U constituting the cross-member 1.
  • FIG. 3 represents, in perspective, a pair of easels twinned by clipping, the assembly then constituting a product of tubular shape, the handling of which is facilitated by the grip handle 15.
  • FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 represent the assembly of the feet 6 of the cross-member 1 and of the double compass 3 and 8.

This point of articulation is located in the axis of symmetry of the cross member 1.

The other end of the same part 8 of the compass is articulated on an axis 17 carried by a bracket 7, itself articulated on the part 3 of the compass around the axis 18.

Suivant figures 4 et 6, la partie 3 du compas articulé en son milieu autour de l'axe 18, l'est aussi à chacune de ses extrémités, sur le pied 6 autour de l'axe 19 sur le pied 2 autour de l'axe 20.According to Figures 4 and 6, part 3 of the compass articulated in its middle around the axis 18, is also at each of its ends, on the foot 6 around the axis 19 on the foot 2 around the axis 20.

The locking and spacing of the feet 2 and 6 is obtained by exerting manual pressure, from top to bottom, in the area of the axis 21 of the part 8 of the compass (FIG. 4).

This thrust causes the deployment of part 3 of the compass (FIGS. 4 and 6) which, by its action, via the axes 19 and 20, causes the feet 2 and 6 to spread apart.

The vertical manual pushing action on the axis 21 of the part 8 of the compass causes the deployment of said compass, simultaneously causing a reaction force of the axis 16, forcing feet 2 and 6 to pivot around the axis 4 to come into abutment on an axis 5 limiting the pivoting.

The part 8 of the compass then arcs around its axis 21 cooperating with a stop 9, in order to obtain a blocking giving great rigidity and stability to the bridge in the working position.

A).The legs 2 and 6 deployed take an oblique position thanks to oblong holes made in the longitudinal direction in the said feet crossed by the axis 4 (Figure 6 A).

According to Figure 7, when the feet 2 and 6 are deployed, the spring 13 mounted on the axis 4 is in the so-called rest position.

According to FIG. 8, when the feet 2 and 6 of a pair of easels are folded up and housed in their respective cross-member 1 in the shape of a U, this same spring 13, equipping one of the two easels comes to engage automatically on a pin 14 provided on the other easel. The pair of easels then forms a single block equipped with a handle 15 (see Figure 3) facilitating its gripping and transport.
