Il n'y a donc, grâce au ressort, aucun à coup dans ce mouvement dont la phase d'ouverture depuis le déverrouillage jusqu'à l'arrivée est progressivement accélérée puis progressivement ralentie. De plus le ressort 13 limite la course de pivotement de la biellette 10 et par conséquent de la coupole. A défaut de ressort, la coupole ne serait pas retenue et tomberait sur le toit sauf à lui adjoindre un autre système de maintien. Si à la place du ressort on utilisait une tringle rigide, la coupole sertait arrêtée brutalement dans son mouvement et serait détériorée. Un avantage de ce système de retenue à ressort réside aussi dans le fait que la coupole s'immobilise à environ 140° ce qui permet d'assurer sa refermeture à l'aide d'un treuil et d'un câble de tirage venant s'accrocher sur la prise 16.It has been arranged by construction that the dome 1 has slightly exceeded the vertical position at 90 ° relative to the roof, when the jack is relaxed. Claims (7)

1. Actuation mechanism for a fume extraction hood articulated on the top of a collar surrounding the hood opening, using a lifter effecting the opening of the said hood bearing on a pivoting strut allowing the reach of the lifter to be increased and using a damping element for the pivoting movement of the said strut characterised in that the damping unit is a spring (13) which is hooked on one side to the end of the pivoting strut (10) and the other side to a fixed point (14) and which is mounted in such a way that in a non-stretched equilibrium position, it maintains the strut substantially aligned with itself and in that the end of the retractable rod (8) of the lifter (6) bears on the end (9) of the said strut near the attachment point of the spring.
2. Mechanism according to claim 1, characterised in that a plate (5) mounted on an internal face of the collar (3) serves to support the elements of the actuation mechanism and for a fixing hook (14) for the spring (13).
3. Mechanism according to claim 1, characterised in that the end of the body of the lifter (6) is articulated on a side vertical of the hood (1) about an axis (7) located substantially in the middle of this upright.
4. Mechanism according to claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the strut (10) pivots at one of its ends about a horizontal axle (11) located in a stirrup (12) mounted on one side of the plate (5).
5. Mechanism according to claim 1, characterised in that in the closed position of the hood (1), the spring (13) is extended between the fixed point (14) and the end (9) of the strut (10) directed downwardly and exerts a compression force on the rod (8) of the lifter.
6. Mechanism according to claim 1, characterised in that the non-stretched equilibrium position of the spring (13) corresponds to an opening position of 90° of the hood at which the lifter (6, 8) is extended.
7. Mechanism according to claim 1, characterised in that in the open and folded back position of the hood (1), the spring (13) is extended between the fixed point (14) and the end (9) of the strut directed upwardly and exerts a retaining force on the rod (8) of the lifter.
