Abstract

The skylight has a raised housing (1) with rear hinges (23) supporting a pivoting panel (2). A mechanism of three articulating arms acts between the panel and the housing at each side. Two springs with concentric dampers (5,6) are compressed by the mechanism when the panel is in the closed position. The front inside edge of the panel has a lock with a fusilde link which breaks in the case of fire. The skylight is then automatically opened by the spring/damper/mechanism configuration.
